Su Jin visited Su Su, who was staying at Consort Le Xu's residence. Su Jin claimed she had pleaded for Su Su's life at the grand hall, but asserted that her concern was solely for Ye Hua's child, not for Su Su herself. Su Su argued that she and Ye Hua were already married, having sworn vows in the mortal realm.

Su Jin dismissed this, stating that as the Crown Prince of the Heavenly Tribe, Ye Hua has a predestined marriage, making any mortal realm union invalid. She sternly reminded Su Su to adhere to the rules of the Heavenly Tribe. Heavenly Monarch then arrived at Long Sea to assess Ye Hua's injuries, accompanied by Su Jin. Heavenly Monarch questioned Ye Hua's recklessness during the recent battle.

Su Jin, however, defended Ye Hua, emphasizing his bravery in achieving a swift victory despite his severe injuries. After dismissing everyone, Heavenly Monarch spoke privately with Ye Hua about the mortal woman. Ye Hua explained that he had been injured while eliminating the Fiery Golden Lion and that Su Su had saved him. He claimed the child in her womb was merely a repayment of gratitude, subtly downplaying any deeper affection.

Heavenly Monarch appeared to accept this explanation for the time being, cautioning Ye Hua against being swayed by emotions as he is destined to inherit the throne. He decided that since the mortal was pregnant with a child of the Heavenly family, she could remain in the Heavenly Palace for now, with further arrangements to be made after the child's birth.

Later, in front of Heavenly Monarch and Ye Hua, Su Jin audaciously suggested conferring Su Su as a side consort. Heavenly Monarch was enraged, adamantly refusing to bestow such a title upon a mortal woman, citing the Heavenly Tribe's proprieties and the need to respect Bai Qian of Green Hill. Ye Hua recognized Su Jin's true intent was to extinguish any hope of Su Su attaining an official position.

After leaving, Su Jin presented Heavenly Monarch with a copper mirror, claiming it was a valuable item Ye Hua had given to Su Su and that it was used for their communication. She suggested this indicated Ye Hua's feelings for Su Su were stronger than he let on. Su Jin reminded Heavenly Monarch of his constant worry that Ye Hua might follow in the footsteps of his Second Highness, Sang Ji, who had fallen for a mortal.

She argued that keeping the mortal in the Heavenly Palace would make her easier to control. Heavenly Monarch, swayed by her words, ordered Su Jin to closely monitor Su Su. Meanwhile, a sentinel returned from the Heavenly Palace to Long Sea and informed Ye Hua that a fire had suddenly broken out in Zhaohua Palace the previous day, almost injuring Su Su. The fire was attributed to an accidental incident involving the carriage creature of the Winged Monarch Li Jing.

Overwhelmed with worry for Su Su, Ye Hua disregarded his own unhealed injuries and immediately ordered his return to the Heavenly Palace. Upon his return, Ye Hua went to Consort Le Xu's residence, where Su Su was residing and undergoing training. When Su Su saw Ye Hua, she emotionally called out his name and tried to approach him.

However, Ye Hua maintained a cold, distant demeanor, reprimanding her for her presumptuousness and reminding her to address him formally as "Your Highness the Crown Prince." Consort Le Xu advised Su Su to avoid grand bows due to her pregnancy, then dismissed her. Ye Hua's apparent coldness was a deliberate act, a calculated effort to protect Su Su by ensuring no one in the Heavenly Palace suspected his true feelings for her.

Elsewhere, Feng Jiu was serving tea to Donghua, who subtly probed her, mentioning he had seen her coming from the direction of Pure Wutong Palace a few days ago, an area that led only to Pure Wutong Palace or the Immortal Execution Platform. Feng Jiu, flustered, quickly concocted a story about admiring the moon from the Immortal Execution Platform, rambling about how beautiful the moonlight was. Donghua, amused by her clumsy fabrication, simply smiled slightly.

Later, Si Ming discreetly informed Feng Jiu that the Immortal Execution Platform was considered an ominous place for immortals, where even low-level immortals would lose their powers. Feng Jiu felt deeply embarrassed upon hearing this. Ye Hua finally managed to slip away from the prying eyes of the court and met Su Su privately at the Courtyard of Moonlight.

He dismissed all the celestial maids Consort Le Xu had assigned to Su Su, emphasizing that Su Su had no official title in Nine Heavens and that their presence was a violation of Heavenly rules. He then brought in Nai Nai, a divine maid he had personally brought from a divine mountain in the lower realm, to attend to Su Su. Su Su, still shaken, asked about his previous injuries.

Ye Hua reassured her he was fine and promised to protect her, ensuring no one would harm her again. Su Su expressed her bewilderment, now realizing that Ye Hua was the Crown Prince of Nine Heavens, which finally explained his previous secrecy and why he had never introduced her to his family. Ye Hua apologized for keeping the truth from her, explaining that revealing it earlier would not have benefited her.

He stressed the importance of careful conduct and speech within the Heavenly Palace, reiterating that his coldness in front of others was solely for her protection, to prevent anyone from noticing her existence. He instructed her to peacefully recuperate in the Courtyard of Moonlight, safely deliver their child, and avoid any interactions with others. Though Su Su did not fully comprehend the complexities, she trusted his words completely.

While Ye Hua was consumed by his official duties, Su Su remained isolated and lonely in her palace, with only Nai Nai for companionship. To keep Su Su's presence unnoticed, Ye Hua even resorted to using celestial magic to conceal himself when he visited her. Meanwhile, Consort Le Xu's attendants discussed Su Su's situation, concerned about her lack of proper care given her pregnancy and the Crown Prince's feigned indifference, and the potential diplomatic repercussions with Green Hill.

They concluded that Heavenly Monarch intended for the matter to be suppressed. Consort Le Xu then asked Su Jin to visit Su Su and guide her in the customs and etiquette of the Heavenly Tribe. Su Jin visited Su Su at the Courtyard of Moonlight, feigning concern about the simple decor and Ye Hua's apparent lack of attention to her living quarters.

She deliberately recounted how Ye Hua had been gravely injured by the Soul Severing Blade in the war against the Merpeople and how she had stayed by his side for days at Long Sea, subtly highlighting her closeness to him. Su Jin described Ye Hua as reserved and someone who kept his pain to himself, drawing parallels to his childhood and their shared past before her marriage to Heavenly Monarch.

She then informed Su Su about an upcoming religious assembly hosted by the Lord of Lingbao, which would be attended by immortals from all realms. Su Jin claimed that Consort Le Xu, worried about Su Su's boredom given Ye Hua's busy schedule, had asked her to take Su Su to the assembly.

Su Su was hesitant to leave without Ye Hua's permission, but Su Jin persuasively argued that no one would block their way and that Su Su, as a member of the Heavenly Tribe by extension, needed to learn such protocols. Su Su, convinced, agreed to go, asking Su Jin to teach her the rules. Su Jin noticed a fan, asking if it was the Kunlun Fan of Yuqing.

Su Su clarified it was a fake that she kept in her chamber, having given the real one away in the mortal realm. Su Jin advised her not to carry such an item to avoid unwanted attention and instructed Nai Nai to put it away. Su Jin then escorted Su Su out, reassuring a concerned Nai Nai that she would take good care of Su Su.
