> Resumos de Eternal Love of the Fox
In the bustling market of Bronze County, where humans and spirits often cross paths, Registrar Huo Zhongren was known for his benevolent heart. During a stroll, he encountered a crowd gathered around a "rare treasure"—a small creature that had survived the tribulations of demon cultivation. Refusing to let the helpless being be slaughtered for a feast, Huo stripped off his own outer robe to wrap and shield the creature, smuggling it away to safety.
Later, Huo’s daughter, Huo Xiangjiu, went searching for her father and stumbled into a dark, eerie chamber. Inside, a mysterious old man claimed that the nine-tailed fox locked in a massive iron cage could transform into anything its master desired. Desperate to find her father, Xiangjiu watched as the man ordered the fox to take Huo Zhongren’s form. When the creature refused to obey, the man lashed it mercilessly.
Seeing the fox bleeding, Xiangjiu rushed forward to stop the whip, only for the beast to erupt in a frenzy, shattering the cage and using its nine massive tails to protect her. Xiangjiu eventually jolted awake, finding herself perched in a tree within the royal palace. Her close friend, Le Ning, urged her to come down, realizing she had been sleepwalking again.
Xiangjiu lamented that she still hadn't found her father, who had disappeared after entering the palace to lodge a formal complaint with the Sovereign. She was convinced that the "Ganquan Register", a record of all palace visitors, held the key to his location. However, the register was kept deep within Fucang Palace, the domain of the powerful and enigmatic Lord Feng Mochen. Life as a lowly maid was difficult under the thumb of the strict Lady Zhao.
The supervisor was relentless, constantly berating the girls and comparing them to Bai Yu, a former servant who had supposedly been promoted to Attendant for making even the palace toilets smell like a garden. During one of Lady Zhao’s tirades, the eccentric Bai Yu literally dropped from the sky, having traveled via the palace's "air route." As a favorite of Chief Steward Sun, he was a man no one dared to offend.
Xiangjiu tried to slip away, but Bai Yu recognized her immediately as his childhood playmate and betrothed from Bronze County. Though Xiangjiu was surprised to see the son of a "conman" mystic serving as a eunuch, Bai Yu whispered a secret to her: he had used connections to keep his "parts" intact and was only there to hunt the fox demon. Xiangjiu, focused on her mission, feigned an emergency to escape his incessant chatter.
Meanwhile, the palace was in an uproar. The Sovereign, who suffered from a recurring condition of appearing dead, had once again lost his breath. While officials like Lord Gongsun and Prince Fuying plotted to seize the throne, Feng Mochen arrived at Ganquan Palace. Despite the Prince’s protests, Feng Mochen entered the Sovereign’s chambers alone. Using his own spiritual energy, he managed to stabilize the ruler.
The Sovereign warned Feng that he must find his "ferryman" to ascend to immortality before the court’s political vultures moved against him. Xiangjiu finally managed to infiltrate the opulent Fucang Palace. Momentarily distracted by rare red coral trees and delicacies, she quickly refocused and began scouring the shelves for the "Ganquan Register". She found the book and flipped to the entries for May—the month her father arrived—only to discover that two crucial pages had been torn out.
Before she could process this, the doors swung open and Feng Mochen marched in. Panicked, Xiangjiu tried to flee but was cornered. In her haste, she nearly fell from an upper balcony, only for Feng Mochen to leap forward and catch her in his arms. As their eyes met, Xiangjiu realized with a shock that this man was the same nine-tailed fox from her memories. In that instant, a surge of mystical energy passed between them, and their souls swapped places, leaving them trapped in each other's bodies.
