The drama is adapted from Fu Hua's novel "Xiang Si Zu Xian Shang Xian Yu / 向师祖献上咸鱼", which tells the story of the encounter between Master Ancestor Sima Jiao, who has been sealed in the mountain for 500 years, and Liao Tingyan, who accidentally enters the Immortal Cultivation Realm. Sima Jiao is subdued by her "salted fish" instincts, changes, and turns to the good. The two of them get to know each other and develop a love for each other. Together they experience the love-hate entanglements in the Immortal field, the demonic realm, and the human world, and ultimately choose to protect their lovers and safeguard the peace of the three realms.

Sinopse
After being sealed in the mountain for 500 years, Sima Jiao, the ancestor of the Gengchen Immortal Mansion, meets with Liao Jianyan, who accidentally arrives in the Immortal Cultivation Realm, and is subdued by her "salty fish" instincts, from which Liao begins to guide Sima Jiao towards goodness and becomes the person who changes him.
During the process, they develop a love for each other and experience a love-hate relationship across three lifetimes in the Immortal Mansion, the Devil's Realm, and the Human world, and ultimately choose to protect their lovers and safeguard the peace of the three realms.
