Li Tiancheng, heir to a powerful conglomerate, falls in love at first sight with his employee, Qi Ziqiu. But fate is far from kind—Li Tiancheng has already been bound by a six-year engagement, while Qi Ziqiu is also preparing for marriage.
Caught between morality and desire, Qi Ziqiu struggles against her feelings, yet both her heart and soul are drawn to Li Tiancheng, whose presence feels more compatible than anyone she has ever known. The two gradually realize that what connects them is not merely physical attraction, but a deeper resonance of souls—and perhaps a chance to walk away from the wrong people in their lives.
Trapped between duty and emotion, they decide to give themselves a way out through a relationship with an expiration date: a seven-day romance.
When the seven days come to an end, their feelings have only grown stronger instead of fading. However, Qi Ziqiu, who spent her life trying to escape a gambling-ridden family, cannot let go of the trauma left by her upbringing. Determined to live an ordinary, trouble-free life and avoid anything complicated, she resolutely chooses to end the relationship.
