Wu Tong, a fiercely competitive career woman and a new mother at an older age, experiences tremendous physical and emotional changes as she goes through the prenatal, delivery, and postpartum stages. She feels an unprecedented level of challenge.
As she navigates her sudden change in identity and daily life, she gradually adjusts and adapts with the understanding and support of her husband, Hu Yichuan.
At the postpartum care center, she meets Song Bingxue, a "perfect mom" and her writer husband Tang Mucheng; Li Lu, a "bottom-ranked" post-00s cool mom; and Jin Yutong, a single celebrity mother.
Faced with various postpartum struggles, the clash of different parenting philosophies creates waves of tension—yet it also pushes everyone to grow beyond the label of "mother," discovering self-worth and personal growth as women.
