> Resúmenes de A LOVER IN THE MORTAL WORLD
Liu Chu hosted a banquet for Xiao Chi and Fei Zheng to bid farewell to Xiao Chi before his departure for Tianlang Pass. During the meal, Liu Chu expressed his wish for the wars to end so that the three of them could remain together in the capital. Xiao Chi remained resolute, vowing to protect the pass for the sake of the nation and its people.
However, Liu Chu questioned if Xiao Chi's loyalty was truly for the people or for the Emperor himself. Sensing the tension, Fei Zheng intervened, explaining that Xiao Chi viewed the Emperor as the "heaven" of the people. Despite the camaraderie, Liu Chu secretly harbored suspicions about Xiao Chi’s true intentions. Meanwhile, Han Yunling discovered a way to treat memory loss in an ancient medical manual.
She studied the techniques for the Neiguan and Shenmen points to regulate her qi and calm her mind. Though she knew the Baihui acupoint was dangerous, she decided to take the risk to regain her past. As she performed the acupuncture on herself, flashes of her childhood surfaced. She remembered a young boy who had saved her from a deep river and promised to go to battle to protect her and the people of Jinglan.
She realized with certainty that the boy was Xiao Chi. Back at the banquet, the atmosphere shifted when Fei Zheng suddenly began coughing up blood. Although he claimed he had simply caught a cold due to the turning weather, Xiao Chi suspected the wine was poisoned. To test his suspicion, Xiao Chi offered to toast the Emperor using Fei Zheng’s wine. Sensing the distrust, Liu Chu took the pot and drank it himself to prove there was no foul play.
Xiao Chi immediately apologized for his impulsiveness and asked if Liu Chu would ever forgive him if he made a grave mistake. Liu Chu reminded them that the three of them grew up like brothers and promised that his word as Emperor was his bond; he would pardon them even for serious crimes, though he admitted that if his closest friends betrayed him, he would have no one left to trust.
The following morning, Han Yunling’s demeanor toward Xiao Chi changed completely. Filled with the warmth of her recovered memories, she visited him before he left for the palace and tenderly kissed him goodbye, leaving Xiao Chi stunned. Elsewhere in the palace, Jiang Wanyu felt increasingly isolated. Her maid, Jin Xi, brought her grapes sent by the King of Mo, but Jiang Wanyu lamented that they no longer tasted as they once did.
She felt that Liu Chu had become a stranger, yet she still hoped the child she carried might bring peace between Changmo and Jinglan. That night, Liu Chu ordered Xiao Chi to investigate reports of secret meetings, claiming Xiao Chi was the only person he could still trust. Xiao Chi followed the mysterious figure, who turned out to be Jin Xi. She headed toward the medical clinic to warn Han Yunling to return to Changmo quickly for her own safety.
Han Yunling was confused and followed Jin Xi as she hurried toward the outskirts of the city. In a secluded yard, Jin Xi met with Fei Zheng, who was suffering from the effects of Gu poison. It was revealed that Jin Xi had been saving an antidote for him, but Fei Zheng hoped they could both survive until Changmo invaded Jinglan to earn their true freedom. Their conversation confirmed they were both spies for Changmo.
Xiao Chi confronted them with his sword drawn, feeling deeply betrayed by Fei Zheng. A fight broke out, and the weakened Fei Zheng was eventually wounded. Just as Xiao Chi was about to let them flee, Liu Chu arrived with his guards. Xiao Chi pleaded for mercy, reminding Liu Chu of his earlier promise of a pardon. Liu Chu agreed to spare Fei Zheng if he confessed everything, but he made no such guarantees for Jin Xi.
Han Yunling rushed to the scene, tearfully begging the Emperor to spare Jin Xi’s life as a reward for her having saved the Emperor’s life previously. However, Jin Xi was ultimately killed. Before she died, she told Han Yunling how much she missed their days in Changmo and entrusted the care of Princess Jiang Wanyu to her. She looked at Fei Zheng one last time, wishing that in their next life, they could be free.
Following her death, a devastated Liu Chu ordered Fei Zheng to be taken to the Imperial Prison, strictly forbidding anyone from harming him because he still considered him a brother. The next day, Han Yunling brought the news of Jin Xi’s death to Jiang Wanyu. Heartbroken and feeling there was no love left for her in the palace, Jiang Wanyu expressed a desire to return to Changmo. She asked Han Yunling to find a beautiful place with trees and flowers to bury Jin Xi, and Han Yunling promised to see her friend off properly.
