To maintain a facade of sibling unity, they shared from the same bottle, though the atmosphere remained heavy with hostility. Away from the banquet, Jiang Wanyu was plagued by an ominous premonition. Liu Xie lashed out, accusing Liu Chu of incompetence, murdering ministers, and allowing a toxic plague to ravage the people while he emptied the treasury for his marriage ceremony.

Liu Chu eventually paid a final visit to his sister.
