> Resúmenes de Granting You a Dreamlike Life
Feiyan, aware that Luo Fusheng's offer to exchange the list for Tianying might be a deception, set a meticulous trap for him. Despite her suspicion, she also believed that Luo Fusheng would not risk Tianying’s life, as Tianying was his most beloved woman. She patiently awaited his arrival. When Luo Fusheng appeared, Feiyan inquired if he had brought the list for the "Luofu earthworm production plan," to which he confirmed he had brought "a" list.
He demanded Tianying's release as per their arrangement, which Feiyan acknowledged. However, Feiyan revealed her cunning by presenting a fake hostage. Luo Fusheng, having anticipated her trick, exposed the deception and eliminated the fake hostage. Feiyan then accused Luo Fusheng of trying to deceive her with a counterfeit list, but he declared that the real list was still with him and offered to hand it over only if Tianying was released.
Feiyan scornfully rejected his terms, asserting he had no right to negotiate, and commanded her forces to attack, intending to kill him and seize the list. A fierce gunfight erupted between Luo Fusheng and the Japanese. Fortunately, Lin Qikai and the men from Xinglong Pavilion arrived, coming to Luo Fusheng’s aid. Qiu Ruomao, one of the men, asked about Luo Fusheng’s condition, who confirmed he was fine.
Luo Fusheng questioned their presence, and they responded that they were there to avenge Mr. Hong and Brother Lin, with Qiu Ruomao adding that he had made sure Lan Lan and Xing Yue were safe, having expected Luo Fusheng to come early. Luo Fusheng then urgently asked for Tianying's whereabouts, learning that a fake had been used and Tianying was still missing. Recognizing that remaining in their current position was unsustainable, they decided to break out.
Luo Fusheng and Lin Qikai made the decision to go rescue Tianying, while Old Evil provided cover for their advance. As the battle raged, Hu Qi and Qian Kuohai from Xinglong Pavilion, along with Luo Cheng, tragically lost their lives to Japanese gunfire. Luo Fusheng and Lin Qikai pressed on, eventually discovering Tianying suspended precariously over a burning pit, constantly at risk of falling into the flames.
Feiyan, positioned at a vantage point, demonstrated exceptional marksmanship, making any direct approach impossible. They had no choice but to advance cautiously. During their perilous movement, Lin Qikai was shot and fell, gravely wounded. To prevent Luo Fusheng from exposing himself further, Lin Qikai, in immense pain, desperately told Luo Fusheng not to come out and to save his life to rescue Tianying.
With his dying breath, Lin Qikai made Luo Fusheng promise to save Tianying and wished to be brothers again in their next lives, before taking his own life. Overcome with grief and rage, Luo Fusheng fired at Feiyan. Enraged, Feiyan retaliated by shooting the ropes holding Tianying, intending to drop her into the fiery abyss. Luo Fusheng, desperate, gripped the rope tightly, refusing to let go.
Feiyan advanced menacingly, taunting him about choosing Tianying over her and declaring his choice a failure. She called them "lovers with a love stronger than gold," then mockingly offered to "send them off," firing multiple shots into Luo Fusheng. Despite being drenched in his own blood, Luo Fusheng clung steadfastly to the rope. Tianying cried out for him, urging him to stay with her and professing her love.
Just as Luo Fusheng's strength waned, Huang Xinghan and his forces arrived, eliminating Feiyan and rescuing Tianying. However, Luo Fusheng, succumbing to his severe wounds, died in Tianying’s arms. Before he passed, he handed the list to Huang Xinghan. Jingyun concluded her story for Musheng, explaining that the ring she wore belonged to her grandmother, Tianying.
Tianying had kept it as a memento, never marrying because Luo Fusheng was unable to place it on her finger, leaving her with a lifelong regret. Jingyun’s grandmother had instructed her to receive the ring from a man who truly loved her and wished to spend his life with her. Jingyun also shared Tianying's other regret: never again tasting authentic niuji fried, a dish that held special memories of her and Luo Fusheng after his release from prison.
Jingyun had come to Dongjiang hoping to find that very taste and was surprised to see "niuji fried" on Musheng's menu. Though moved by Jingyun's narrative, Musheng refused to make her a niuji fried dish. He offered to help remove the negative online videos about her, but stood firm on his vow never to prepare niuji fried for anyone again.
Jingyun argued that making the dish would not only honor her grandmother's memory but also allow him to showcase his skills and counter the online criticism. Musheng, however, reiterated his indifference to public opinion and his oath. Later, a staff member suggested that Jingyun become Musheng’s apprentice as a way to eventually taste the niuji fried. Jingyun, donning a chef’s uniform, insisted that Musheng accept her as his apprentice, invoking their "mutual reputation."
She addressed him as "Master," and despite his initial reluctance, Musheng took her on. He warned her that mastering the dish would be challenging, requiring the finest ingredients and meticulous preparation, starting with chopping meat. Jingyun's first attempt at chopping meat was amateurish, revealing her surprising lack of cooking skills for a renowned food critic. She implored him to keep her secret and vowed to learn quickly.
Musheng diligently taught her how to chop meat and add seasonings, even demonstrating how to shape the buns delicately. Eventually, Jingyun produced her first batch of niuji fried, but Musheng delivered a scathing critique, noting the "skin is not crisp and not cottony" and that the bottom lacked a golden hue. Jingyun accused him of retaliating against her, "picking a bone in her egg."
Musheng challenged her to taste her own creation, and upon doing so, she conceded its poor quality. Frustrated but determined, Jingyun retreated to the kitchen to continue her efforts. Later, Musheng found her asleep in the kitchen and gently covered her with his clothes. He reflected on the joy of cooking for a loved one, implying Jingyun wouldn't understand this sentiment as she had never been in love.
Jingyun, noticing his frequent drinking, asked if it was related to a past wife. She then urged him to reciprocate her openness by sharing his own story. Musheng promised to tell her his tale once she successfully made a perfect batch of niuji fried. One day, Jingyun finally succeeded in making an excellent niuji fried dish and excitedly sought out Musheng to share her achievement.
To her dismay, she learned he had resigned from the restaurant the previous night, leaving a letter for her. In the letter, Musheng confessed that he had agreed to teach her niuji fried because her mannerisms and smile strongly reminded him of his deceased girlfriend, Lanxin. Lanxin had loved their conversations using a glass bottle and cherished his handmade fried buns. They had shared a profoundly happy time, but he tragically lost her on the day he intended to propose.
He had since carried the unpresented wedding ring, refused new relationships, and made niuji fried an unspoken "forbidden dish" on his menu, sinking into depression and daily drinking. Jingyun's arrival, however, had rekindled his passion for cooking and brought joy back into his life. He admitted his "hopeless love" for her, but confessed his uncertainty: whether he loved Jingyun herself, or merely the "shadow of the deceased Lanxin" he saw in her.
Fearing to hurt her and unable to reconcile his own past, he had chosen to leave, asking for her forgiveness for his abrupt departure. Three years later, while traveling in Europe, Jingyun unexpectedly encountered Musheng. Both were overjoyed. Musheng told her that he had finally "let himself go" and released his past emotional burdens.
He then gently removed the ring from her neck—the one passed down from Tianying—and proposed, asking if she would be willing to experience life's sweet and sour moments with him. Jingyun smiled sweetly, accepted his proposal, and they embraced and kissed, fulfilling the romantic dream that had eluded Luo Fusheng and Tianying decades ago.
