At eighteen, during a difficult and impoverished youth, Ye He (Lotus Carter) met Shen Que (Liam Bennett). She was a struggling girl fighting for survival like wild grass, while he was the privileged boy standing in the light. They fell deeply in love, but the vast gap between their families and a painful accident forced them apart.
Seven years later, Ye He has become a middle school teacher, while Shen Que returns home to start his own business. Fate brings them together once again, and Shen Que begins a long journey to win her back.
