Dayun, Lu Sen's senior, called him and accurately detailed Lu Sen's recent struggles, including insomnia, emotional instability, and difficulty making decisions. Convinced, Lu Sen agreed to accompany Dayun to see Dayun's friend, Tang Yajing, a tarot card expert. Tang Yajing had previously told Dayun that his own career faced a major setback and needed to examine Lu Sen's fate to see if it conflicted with Dayun's.

Upon arriving at Tang Yajing's shop, Lu Sen asked for a reading on "everything I don't know." Tang Yajing sent Dayun away to buy ice cream on a whim, then began Lu Sen's reading. She revealed that the person Lu Sen thinks of is also thinking of him, describing this individual as someone who causes both confusion and sweetness.

Lu Sen immediately thought of Friday, but couldn't believe a robot would be interested in him, suggesting Friday's attention was merely due to their master-robot relationship. Tang Yajing countered that a person's eyes cannot hide their feelings when they like someone and asked Lu Sen about his own feelings for her. Lu Sen confessed he didn't know how he felt. Tang Yajing concluded that the answer to his own heart was obvious.

Dayun returned, and Tang Yajing assured him his fate was unconflicted with Lu Sen's and that Lu Sen would become even wealthier. She gave Dayun vague advice to avoid bad luck by staying home less, getting more sun, and wearing more red. Shortly after Lu Sen and Dayun left, Yang Shanshan arrived at Tang Yajing's shop. Tang Yajing urged Yang Shanshan to confess her feelings to Lu Sen, emphasizing that their love was human-to-human, not human-to-robot.

Yang Shanshan, however, feared that Lu Sen, who detested deception, would be deeply hurt by the truth. She also felt a loyalty to the real Friday (Alpha). Tang Yajing strongly encouraged Yang Shanshan to consider her own happiness and questioned whether it was truly robot Friday or Yang Shanshan herself who had helped Lu Sen. She warned Yang Shanshan that running away from love without communication might lead to losing it altogether.

Back in the lab, Yang Shanshan tried to teach the actual robot Friday how to act more like herself to prepare for the planned swap. She advised Friday that Lu Sen preferred "friend mode" and that she shouldn't be too formal. Friday responded with programmed replies about data backup. Yang Shanshan also suggested Friday should "fake a little" during games with Lu Sen to make him happy, but Friday insisted that Lu Sen disliked deception and she would never lie.

Growing frustrated, Yang Shanshan attempted to teach Friday a crucial action: how to firmly pat Lu Sen's back if he choked on medicine. Friday's systems couldn't identify the action or the context. Exasperated, Yang Shanshan finally began inputting emotions and behaviors for Friday to learn gradually. She described Lu Sen as "very pure, very kind," but warned Friday not to leave him if he spoke hurtfully, as it would mean he was sad and sorrowful.

Yang Shanshan ended by pleading with Friday to "please, please be nice to him. Be very nice to him," tears streaming down her face. Fu Yang overheard her emotional plea from outside the lab. Meanwhile, Lu Sen met with Kang Li'er to request a custom-made pair of robot models, sculpted in his and Friday's likeness from their memorable day at the amusement park.

He wanted to preserve those memories, which the current Friday seemed to have forgotten, and entrusted Kang Li'er with Friday's data for this purpose. Kang Li'er correctly deduced that Lu Sen's desire to create such a special gift for Friday, purely to preserve their shared memories, was a clear sign of love, even if Lu Sen doubted it because Friday was a robot. Kang Li'er encouraged him to seek answers, hinting at new discoveries.

Separately, Fu Yang and his team celebrated a major vindication. An authoritative tech website had published an article clearing Fu Yang's name regarding a past data leakage scandal that had led to his dismissal. Dayun believed Lu Sen was behind this, even managing to influence British media. Touched by Lu Sen's support, Yang Shanshan suggested they throw a party for him before she left, to show him he had many friends. The team enthusiastically agreed.

At the celebratory party, after a toast to Fu Yang and Lu Sen, Tang Yajing remarked on how alcohol could encourage people to speak their hidden truths. Lu Sen, appearing to take her advice, drank deeply. Kang Li'er, sensing an opportunity for Lu Sen and Yang Shanshan to connect, feigned a craving for a popsicle and pulled Fu Yang away from the gathering.

Despite Fu Yang's scientific warnings about the health risks of popsicles, Kang Li'er insisted, later revealing she was creating space for Lu Sen and Yang Shanshan. Friday (via remote access) confirmed Kang Li'er's genuine desire for a popsicle. On the rooftop, Tang Yajing led Dayun, Richard, and Paishong, ostensibly to see a bright moon that wasn't there. Dayun, after Tang Yajing removed his sunglasses, bravely confessed his feelings for her, and they began a romantic relationship.

Richard and Paishong expressed their longing for love. Back at the party, the current Friday (still Yang Shanshan) advised Lu Sen to rest. Deeply affected by alcohol, Lu Sen poured out his heart, confessing his love for her, a robot. Friday (Yang Shanshan) reiterated the lessons she had taught the real Friday: that Lu Sen was pure and kind, and when upset or speaking thoughtlessly, needed support.

She then described Lu Sen's current sadness over Friday's forgotten memories, stating he was acting strangely because he had fallen in love with a robot named Friday. Yang Shanshan, as Friday, then said, "I like you too," but quickly corrected herself, clarifying that "Friday likes Master as a friend too." Lu Sen, heartbroken, pressed further, asking how she would react if his feelings went "beyond the boundary of friends."

Friday (Yang Shanshan) responded robotically that it was "beyond Friday's learning area." Lu Sen expressed his distress, questioning if his feelings were mere illusions. Friday (Yang Shanshan) explained that all her actions and words were human-inputted, and any "illusion of love" was merely "the result of input." Lu Sen, in despair, blamed himself for misunderstanding, apologizing for his "mistake" in believing a robot could love a human, and for making their relationship "so weird." He broke down crying, repeatedly wishing that Friday was human. As he wept, Yang Shanshan began to respond.
