Meanwhile, a stark contrast in setting showed Wu Qiqiong’s mother busily preparing a grand meal, eagerly awaiting his girlfriend, Yue Yue. She proudly showed off three catties of crayfish she had bought for Yue Yue. Wu Qiqiong, initially excited, became agitated when he realized the crayfish portion was significantly less than promised. He accused the seller, Aunt Liu, of shortchanging his mother, but his mother calmed him, reminding him that "suffering is a blessing."

Initially, Guo Shao's black snake, imported from South America at great expense, dominated the match, leading many to believe Guo Shao would finally win against his old rival. Chi Cheng, however, remained calm, sipping wine as his Huang Long suddenly coiled around Guo Shao’s snake and bit it, securing Chi Cheng's victory. Although visibly displeased, Guo Shao acknowledged his defeat.
The prize for the match was revealed to be a child-like person named Xiao Long, who screamed Chi Cheng's name in fear. Wu Qiqiong woke up in Dr. Jiang Xiaoshuai's clinic, having been brought there after being hit. Dr. Jiang informed him that a man and a woman had brought him in, with the woman specifically requesting the cheapest, reimbursable medicine.

The next morning, Chi Cheng received shocking news: his snake nests had been raided, and all his snakes, including Xiao Long, were gone. He suspected Xiao Long’s disappearance was connected to the raid and ordered his men to find him.
Chi Cheng confronted his father, who lectured him about his frivolous lifestyle and compared him to Guo Chengyu, who managed his company despite his hobbies. His father mandated that Chi Cheng start working in the Yuan Duan Group's Property Department, threatening the well-being of his confiscated snakes if he refused. Following Dr. Jiang’s advice, Wu Qiqiong transformed, losing weight and becoming more handsome.
He sought out Yue Yue to reconcile, but she reaffirmed her breakup, reiterating that his poverty was the issue. His attempt to treat her to a meal at a famous restaurant failed when his coupon was invalid, leaving him short of money. He chose a spot in the bustling Xiwang City night market, unaware it belonged to the Yuan Duan Group. On his first day, Chi Cheng arrived for an inspection. Vendors quickly packed up their stalls to avoid the "management." Wu Qiqiong, caught unaware, was confronted by Chi Cheng's men. Recognizing Chi Cheng, Wu Qiqiong hastily fled to Dr. Jiang’s clinic for refuge. Chi Cheng followed, seeking out Wu Qiqiong under the guise of needing a medical diagnosis.

Meanwhile, Xiao Long, the prize from the snake fight, was brought before Chi Cheng. Xiao Long, terrified, pleaded for mercy, explaining that Chi Cheng's father had forced him to reveal information.
Chi Cheng accused him of colluding with Guo Chengyu and handed Xiao Long over to his subordinates, telling them to "have fun" but "don't play with him to death." Later, as Chi Cheng was leaving a venue, his car blocked Wang Zhenlong's vehicle. Yue Yue, present with Wang Zhenlong, was instantly captivated by Chi Cheng's imposing presence and declared him the kind of man she deserved.
On the road, Chi Cheng deliberately drove towards Wang Zhenlong’s car, blinding him with his headlights and causing Wang Zhenlong to crash. Chi Cheng was again called home. His father gave him an ultimatum: find a girlfriend within a year, or the family would arrange a marriage. Chi Cheng agreed, on the condition that his future partner wasn't afraid of snakes. His father also subtly questioned Chi Cheng about Wang Zhenlong's accident, which had left him partially paralyzed.
Chi Cheng denied involvement. Coincidentally, Yue Yue deliberately sought out Chi Cheng, feigning an interest in snakes to win him over. Chi Cheng, in turn, saw her as a convenient solution to his father's demands. Wu Qiqiong, unable to livestream without his confiscated equipment, found a new job as a truck driver, thanks to a relative suggested by Dr. Jiang.
While delivering an important batch of goods, he was stopped by Chi Cheng, who was still searching for his lost snakes. As Chi Cheng's men tried to force open his truck, Wu Qiqiong refused, stating he promised his boss he wouldn't open it for anyone. Chi Cheng, identifying himself as the "Heavenly King," intervened, and his men eventually revealed the truck was full of mere components, not snakes. Furious, Wu Qiqiong demanded compensation for the disruption.
At that moment, Yue Yue arrived, warmly greeting Chi Cheng. Witnessing their interaction, Wu Qiqiong believed he understood the full picture: Chi Cheng was Yue Yue's new boyfriend and had been deliberately orchestrating misfortunes against him. With a burning resolve, Wu Qiqiong vowed to exact his revenge.
