Letao's new "Her Series" is facing a severe crisis due to reported quality issues, leading to widespread returns and intense media scrutiny. During an emergency meeting, Gao Haiming orders a comprehensive quality inspection and instructs all departments to remain silent until the facts are clear. Despite the board of directors' skepticism and pressure to halt expansion, Haiming decides to proceed with the planned product upgrade.

Wei Zhuang, who has been preparing the technical side of the Gen 2 iteration, notes that halting now would only provide ammunition for their critics, and Haiming agrees that the best defense is to keep moving forward. Wei Zhuang's overnight lab tests reveal that out of the samples collected, only about a dozen packages were actually substandard, confirming that someone is deliberately sabotaging the brand. Determined to find the culprit, Lin Huan'er tracks the counterfeit goods to a hidden warehouse.

She is caught taking photographs of workers attempting to destroy the fake evidence in exchange for bonuses. A confrontation ensues, but Haiming arrives just in time with the police to apprehend them. Later, while Huan'er provides her interrogation transcript, Haiming is moved by her willingness to risk herself for the company. Following the police report, Huan'er suggests that Letao should subsidize the supermarket dealers who were deceived into stocking fakes, replacing the counterfeit products with genuine ones.

She argues this would rebuild the brand's reputation and secure trust for the next product launch. Haiming reveals the sales department is already implementing such a plan. He then confronts Mr. Li, a senior board member and the hidden architect behind the sabotage. Mr. Li admits he orchestrated the scandal to force a return to foreign partnerships, fearing that independent R&D was too risky.

However, Haiming presents a bold plan to disclose patents and raise national industry standards, eventually convincing the veteran that his vision is far more forward-thinking. In the midst of the corporate chaos, Lin Huan'er continues to serve as a dedicated assistant, often staying late to prepare Haiming's favorite Americano and buying the wontons they used to share, hoping the familiar taste might trigger his memory. One evening, she listens to a recording of the radio program "City Voice".

She hears Haiming's past confession, where he admitted to being deeply infatuated with her even though he claimed to "hate" her for making him feel vulnerable. Only Huan'er can hear this musical memory; her sister Lin Le'er hears nothing but silence. Moved to tears, Huan'er later calls into the station herself, dedicating a song to Haiming and promising to stay by his side until his memory returns.

Haiming hears her dedication while driving home, and later finds a small doll in a drawer that looks exactly like her. Meanwhile, Hu Tiehan prepares a Western dinner for Zhu Mengmeng to celebrate her success. During the meal, he reveals his desire to apply for a transfer back to the criminal police squad, a dream he had previously abandoned for his mother's sake.

Having tasted the joy of achieving her own dreams, Mengmeng supports his decision, though she makes him promise to prioritize his safety. Later, Tiehan takes Mengmeng to a scenic spot and asks her to close her eyes. When she opens them, she finds a romantic display of heart-shaped balloons. Admitting they have missed each other for too long, Tiehan vows to be the one to protect her from now on and asks her to marry him. Mengmeng happily accepts.

The next day, Haiming asks Huan'er about the doll and the photos she showed him of their trip to Suzhou. To her disappointment, he can only see the scenery in the pictures and has no recollection of her presence. He recalls buying "air cans" during a trip to Italy but only as a whimsical souvenir, missing the romantic significance they once held. Later, Huan'er takes Haiming back to Lvcheng, hoping the familiar surroundings might help.

As they walk near a bridge, she mentions having seen couples propose there. Haiming reflects that while timing is crucial, he believes that if two people truly love each other, they will eventually find their way back through all the twists and turns of fate.
