> Resumos de Love Like White Jade
Jiang Hu went to the pharmacy to get medicine for Jiang Tianling. He held the prescription, contemplating that he couldn't administer it to Ling'er without absolute certainty, and then left. Shui Wuxia later arrived at the pharmacy to prepare Vigor Soup for Jiang Tianling. She found some other medicine on a piece of paper, and after smelling it and comparing it with the herbs in the pharmacy, realized the prescription was remarkably similar to her brother Xiao Kai Zhen's.
She questioned a servant, who revealed that only Jiang Hu had been there besides her that day. Sun Gui arrived to inform Jiang Hu that the authorities were intensely investigating the disappearances of drug addicts, making their current drug testing operation too risky. Jiang Hu instructed him to deploy more men for security around and along the route, but Sun Gui worried that if discovered, their entire operation would be compromised.
He suggested giving Jiang Tianling Xiao Kai Zhen's prescription, believing that even with side effects, it was preferable to inaction. Jiang Hu adamantly refused to endanger Ling'er, yet conceded that his son's condition was critical and couldn't wait. Unbeknownst to them, Jiang Baiyu overheard their entire conversation. When a maid greeted Jiang Baiyu, Jiang Hu turned, and he and Sun Gui vanished. Jiang Baiyu, reflecting on the overheard conversation, realized that Jiang Hu was his father's murderer.
Meanwhile, Shui Wuxia brought the suspicious prescription to her brother, Xiao Kai Zhen, who confirmed it was indeed his. He connected the dots, concluding that Jiang Hu was responsible for Jiang Jue's murder seven years prior and also for abducting him to develop this medicine. Jiang Baiyu visited Old Madam Jiang, bringing her calming medicine.
He confessed that he felt he had disappointed her over the years, to which she responded with understanding, acknowledging his pain since his father's passing and expressing relief that Shui Wuxia was by his side. Jiang Baiyu then asked her for support, questioning what he should do if he had to undertake actions without a choice. Old Madam Jiang, trusting his judgment, encouraged him to proceed.
Jiang Baiyu then entered Jiang Tianling's room, gently picking up a fallen medical book and placing it beside his sleeping brother before covering him with a blanket. He reflected on their childhood, recalling their father teaching them about herbs and their uncle about reading and writing, and their playful competitions.
He spoke to his sleeping brother, lamenting how much he had hidden over the past seven years, believing it would protect him, and expressed his resolve to do what he must. The next day, Shui Wuxia met with Zhe Zhi and Ba Xi. Ba Xi led his brothers to Huadengfang to search. Meanwhile, Jiang Hu arrived at Sun Gui's hidden location with the tainted blood.
He heard that Shen Qingli had invited him to meet in the woods behind Jiang Mansion. Jiang Hu handed the tainted blood to Sun Gui, instructing him to administer it in two hours, before departing to meet Shen Qingli. Jiang Hu went to the woods alone to meet Shen Qingli. Upon Shen Qingli's arrival, he removed his mask, revealing himself to be Jiang Baiyu.
Jiang Hu, seemingly unsurprised, remarked that Jiang Baiyu already knew he was coming and challenged him to bring out his men. Jiang Baiyu calmly stated that he had no men with him, asserting that this was a private family matter between them, requiring no outsiders. Old Madam Jiang felt an ominous thumping in her heart and noticed the sky becoming suddenly overcast, considering it a bad omen. She asked A'Chang to escort her to the woods for some fresh air.
Meanwhile, Jiang Tianling, feeling bored from days of reading in his four-wheeler and missing Jiang Baiyu, requested a servant to take him to his older brother. The servant, recalling Jiang Baiyu leaving with his sword that morning, presumed he was practicing in the woods outside the mansion and pushed Jiang Tianling there, who welcomed the chance for fresh air.
In the woods, Jiang Baiyu confronted Jiang Hu, who began by recounting his desperation seven years ago when Ling'er's mother suffered from a strange illness. He claimed Jiang Jue had prevented him from testing the drug on living people, leading Jiang Baiyu to accuse him of his father's murder and the monstrous crime of killing innocent lives.
Jiang Hu dismissed Jiang Baiyu's "righteousness" as he had never known his despair, defiantly asking if it was fair for beggars and addicts to live while his wife and son faced death. He announced that the hour was up, and the tainted blood had been administered, promising a cure for Ling'er and offering his own life in exchange for Jiang Jue's.
Just then, Shui Wuxia and Zhe Zhi arrived, presenting the tainted blood, revealing that Ba Xi's men had located and destroyed the secret drug test site, seizing the blood. Zhe Zhi confronted Jiang Hu, revealing that Jiang Jue had actually been testing the drug on himself to save Jiang Hu's wife, a truth that shocked and enraged Jiang Hu, who accused them of conspiracy.
Old Madam Jiang arrived, distraught, and furiously condemned Jiang Hu for murdering his brother and countless innocents, questioning what she had done to raise such an unfilial son and pleading for praise she never gave him. A tearful Jiang Hu countered, expressing his resentment at never receiving a word of praise despite his efforts to uphold the family after Jiang Jue's death. Announcing he would pay for his crimes with his life, he tried to commit suicide.
Old Madam Jiang desperately pleaded with him, admitting her own fault for focusing solely on Jiang Jue's strengths and neglecting Jiang Hu's pain. Jiang Tianling, arriving in his four-wheeler, witnessed the scene and frantically asked what was happening. Jiang Hu, calling himself useless for failing to cure Ling'er, expressed his exhaustion and desire to join his wife, then tragically stabbed himself.
Old Madam Jiang fainted, and Jiang Tianling collapsed to his father's side, heartbroken, begging Xiao Kai Zhen to save him. Xiao Kai Zhen quickly stabilized Jiang Tianling's condition, reassuring Jiang Baiyu that while the disease remained incurable, he would strive to control its progression, giving Jiang Tianling another five to ten years. He also vowed to perfect Jiang Jue's original prescription during this time.
Xiao Kai Zhen acknowledged the past family feud between the Jiang and Xiao families but suggested putting it behind them, citing their shared illness and the love between Shui Wuxia and Jiang Baiyu. He promised to regularly check Jiang Tianling's pulse and administer acupuncture. Old Madam Jiang, seeking to atone for Jiang Hu's sins, decided to establish altars to bring peace to the innocent souls lost and to locate and treat their families with kindness and generosity.
She also resolved to halt all Jiang family businesses and, moving forward, open free clinics and porridge kitchens year-round in various locations to aid the impoverished. Jiang Tianling told Jiang Baiyu that his father, Jiang Hu, had wanted to apologize to him before his death. He explained that while Jiang Hu might be seen as a sinner by others, to him, he was a good father, and then apologized to Jiang Baiyu on his father's behalf.
Jiang Baiyu gently accepted the apology, urging his brother to rest well as they would face the upcoming exams together. Jiang Tianling later informed Jiang Baiyu that he would not be participating in the martial arts exam and asked him to do his best for both of them. Jiang Baiyu reflected on the seven years he had waited for the truth, realizing that while he expected satisfaction, the reality was cruelly painful.
Shui Wuxia asked when he discovered Jiang Hu's role, and he revealed it was the night they watched the moon. She chided him for not telling her and confronting Jiang Hu alone, to which he retorted that she hadn't told him everything either. He then offered to be Jiang Baiyu for her, or Shen Qingli if she preferred. Shui Wuxia responded that whether he was Jiang Baiyu or Shen Qingli, she loved only him, and they shared a tender moment.
Fang Yuncheng and Qi Delong opened a makeup shop, having borrowed their startup capital from Jiang Baiyu. Qi Delong expressed worry about losing money, but Fang Yuncheng, confident in his skills as Chong'an's best beautician, reassured her. He then playfully asked if she would get jealous with so many girls around, to which she simply replied no. Jiang Tianling brought Zhe Zhi to see the pear blossoms, addressing his deceased mother and introducing Zhe Zhi as her daughter-in-law.
Zhe Zhi playfully chided him for being "shameless," leading Jiang Tianling to begin a lecture on the term, which Zhe Zhi interrupted. He then suggested the romantic setting was perfect for a kiss, but Zhe Zhi reminded him his mother was watching. Jiang Tianling playfully suggested they close their eyes and pretend not to see her. The Hou instructor gathered the Chong'an Ministry of Inspection and Reserve candidates at Jiang Mansion to announce their imminent departure for the capital.
He introduced Shui Wuxia as their accompanying supervisor. Shui Wuxia then invited Jiang Baiyu to describe her style, to which he teasingly called her meticulous, ruthless, and troublesome. She interjected, stating that, most importantly, she valued righteousness in family and friends, promising he would understand its necessity in the future.
As they prepared to depart, Jiang Baiyu and Shui Wuxia reminisced about their initial incompatibility, how they were once "fire and water" and "poles apart," but were now "together through thick and thin." Jiang Baiyu vowed that in the capital, he would be docile and obedient, never letting them be apart again, attributing their strong bond to their unique love, as pure as white jade.
