While Sheng Jingchu was heavily intoxicated, Cheng Liao seized the opportunity to directly confront him about his colorblindness. She asked if he saw everything else in black and white, but only her in color, and if his initial interest in her, including wanting to interview her and take her to Suzhou, was due to his psychologist's advice to see her more often.

Sheng Jingchu confirmed that his therapist had suggested he see her, and admitted that initially, he was with her because he could see colors through her. However, he insisted that later, his feelings evolved, and he genuinely fell in love with her.

When Cheng Liao pressed him on why he had kept this secret, Sheng Jingchu confessed his fear: he was afraid that if he told her, she would leave him, and he would lose his ability to see colors again. Cheng Liao, however, felt that the colors he had sought for twenty years were ultimately more important than she was.

Sheng Jingchu pleaded with her to like him even just a little, but Cheng Liao stated that true love begins with an instantaneous flutter of the heart, not a slow accumulation that feels more like familial affection. Despite Sheng Jingchu's heartfelt confession, Cheng Liao remained deeply hurt and unable to accept his explanation. She then left. Meanwhile, Cheng Yi and Jiang Yuda shared an intimate moment, culminating in a kiss.

The next morning, Sheng Jingchu awoke, realizing Cheng Liao was likely still upset. He sought advice from his martial siblings. Jiang Yuda, still a bit disoriented, jokingly suggested more drinking to recover lost memories, which Sheng Jingchu dismissed. One of the martial brothers confirmed that Sheng Jingchu's colorblindness stemmed from psychological issues, and another naively praised his "unusual" love story.

Lan, however, was critical, accusing Sheng Jingchu of deliberately concealing his condition and even suggesting he was using Cheng Liao for treatment. She firmly sided with Cheng Liao, declaring that if Cheng Liao was unhappy, so was she. Jiang Yuda defended Sheng Jingchu, while Lan remained unconvinced. Jiang Yuda then pointed out that if Sheng Jingchu had told Cheng Liao earlier, there would have been no misunderstanding.

Sheng Jingchu explained he had waited for the right time, but one of the martial brothers wisely cautioned that in love, it's better to be early than late, as some opportunities, once missed, don't return. Feeling he could no longer delay, Sheng Jingchu went to apologize to Cheng Liao. He admitted his fault in not telling her sooner that she brought color into his world.

Cheng Liao, however, asked him to answer one question immediately: did he like her, or did he like that she was colorful to him? Overwhelmed, Sheng Jingchu stammered, asking for another chance, but Cheng Liao told him he had deeply disappointed her. She asked him to leave her alone for a few days, as she needed peace and quiet. Sheng Jingchu had no choice but to return.

Returning to the dojo, a worried Jiang Yuda questioned why Sheng Jingchu let Cheng Liao leave. He warned that if she cooled down, their relationship might be over. Sheng Jingchu acknowledged it was his fault for not being transparent with Cheng Liao from the start. Jiang Yuda then suggested a "romantic" approach to win her back. Following this advice, Sheng Jingchu, along with Jiang Yuda and other martial siblings, prepared hydrogen balloons as a romantic gesture.

They tried calling Cheng Liao, but she didn't answer. Sheng Jingchu then suggested throwing a stone to get her attention, which was debated as being too dangerous. They settled for a lighter object. Unfortunately, Jiang Yuda accidentally hit Cheng Liao’s father, injuring his head, which infuriated Cheng Liao. Back at the dojo, Jiang Yuda offered to bear any punishment or even "seek forgiveness" from Cheng Liao and her father. Sheng Jingchu, however, just wanted him to stop making things worse.

Cao Xihe then proposed a "hero saves the damsel in distress" plan to make Cheng Liao feel special. Sheng Jingchu thought it was too absurd and risky, but Jiang Yuda encouraged him to try it. So, they arranged for some "actors" to stage a robbery. To their shock, before their hired crew could act, Cheng Liao was genuinely mugged. Mistaking the real robbers for their staged actors, Sheng Jingchu bravely intervened, snatching a dagger from one of the criminals.

This led to him being surrounded and beaten by the real gang. The police soon arrived and took both groups to the station. During interrogation, the officer realized Sheng Jingchu's group was staging a fake robbery that coincidentally ran into a real one. The officer chided Sheng Jingchu for his childish attempt to "rob" his own girlfriend. Cheng Yi arrived to pick up Cheng Liao, while Lan came for Sheng Jingchu and the others.

Outside, reporters swarmed, but Jiang Yuda tried to dissuade them, claiming it was a "trivial" matter. Cheng Liao was furious, accusing Sheng Jingchu of watching too many mafia movies and making her appear in social news. Cao Xihe tried to take the blame, but Cheng Liao saw through it, pointing out his "actors" were his mahjong buddies. Still angry, she left, telling Lan not to follow her.

Back at the dojo, Jiang Yuda apologized again for the disastrous "gangsters' fight," but Sheng Jingchu decided to give up on these elaborate plans, feeling Cheng Liao was now even angrier. However, Cao Xihe reminded him they still had "an ultimate Love Sage" (Xie Chang'an) with a final ace up his sleeve. Xie Chang'an then offered them a "concoction to calm you youngsters" and advised that Cao Xihe and Jiang Yuda's "palliative" ideas were ineffective.

He suggested that Sheng Jingchu and Cheng Liao needed to "reignite the passion" in their love. Encouraged by Xie Chang'an's advice, Sheng Jingchu invited Cheng Liao to a dance hall. Xie Chang'an had meticulously arranged everything, including a band, venue, and props, even bringing an antique gramophone to create an enchanted, passionate atmosphere. As Sheng Jingchu tried to open up to Cheng Liao about his condition, the gramophone malfunctioned. Cheng Liao found the entire situation ridiculous and childish, storming out.

Sheng Jingchu chased after her, desperately apologizing and reiterating that she was more important than any color in his heart. He asked what he could do to earn her forgiveness. Cheng Liao explained that despite knowing his initial motivation, she couldn't help but miss him and recall their sweet memories, which felt like the perfect love to her. She confessed her true feelings and her desire to be with him forever, but expressed deep uncertainty about his sincerity.

She felt his recent grand gestures—the restaurant, the "hero saves the damsel" scheme, the balloons, and now the dance—were all orchestrated by his martial siblings, lacking his genuine personal touch. She yearned to see his true feelings, not their "outdated," "unreliable," or "childish" tactics. Sheng Jingchu admitted he was clueless and had resorted to desperate measures, apologizing again. Cheng Liao simply asked, "Where's your sincerity?" Later, Lan approached Sheng Jingchu, having heard about his failed attempts.

She chastised him for relying on his martial siblings' flawed relationship advice, noting that each of them had their own romantic woes. She reminded him that while he was astute on the Go board, he became foolish in love. Lan advised him against giving up, stressing that women seek sincerity, not elaborate tricks. She urged him to communicate his true feelings honestly, allowing Cheng Liao to regain confidence in their relationship.

Sheng Jingchu, grateful, realized what he needed to do and asked Lan for her help. Soon after, Cheng Liao received a phone call from Ms. He, who was handling Tian Tian's Go studies. Ms. He invited Cheng Liao and Sheng Jingchu to take Tian Tian to the Film Museum to watch a documentary about a Go master, as a reward for Tian Tian winning a children's Go tournament.

Cheng Liao agreed to go, but stated Sheng Jingchu was busy and she would accompany Tian Tian alone. Believing she had finally found some peace, Cheng Liao went to the museum with Tian Tian and Ms. He the next day. While watching a Go demonstration, Cheng Liao found herself thinking of Sheng Jingchu, chastising herself for it. Just then, she received a text from Sheng Jingchu, who was also at the Film Museum, sharing his location.

Intrigued, Cheng Liao excused herself and followed the location. She found herself in an exhibition space where posters of her adorned the walls, and lights illuminated her path with every step she took. Sheng Jingchu then appeared, telling her that to him, true love was about growing together, engraving each other into their lives, and becoming irreplaceable.

He confessed that she was the sole color in his once monochrome world, and while his initial attraction was due to her vibrant presence, he truly fell in love with her. He emphasized that the colorful world only held meaning to him because of her. He revealed that every photo displayed was a cherished memory of his heart fluttering for her and vowed to spend a lifetime proving his sincerity if she would stay by his side.

Overcome with emotion, Cheng Liao was deeply moved by his words, and they embraced. Tian Tian and Ms. He then appeared, happily noting their reconciliation. Cheng Liao playfully chastised Tian Tian for secretly helping Sheng Jingchu, but Ms. He explained that Tian Tian had been genuinely upset when he heard they wouldn't come together and had called Sheng Jingchu, inadvertently revealing their misunderstanding, which allowed them to facilitate this reunion. Cheng Liao playfully remarked on their "childish" argument.
