Ding Lan secured a victory in her game. As her friends celebrated, representatives from the committee summoned Ding Lan and Cao Xihe. They announced that reports had been received and confirmed via surveillance footage that Cao Xihe, an eight dan player, had entered Ding Lan, a four dan player's room during the match's adjournment, which constituted a violation of competition rules.

Cao Xihe insisted he had only brought supper and offered no advice, and that Ding Lan was unaware of his visit. Despite his explanations, the committee declared Ding Lan's win invalid and disqualified her, awarding the victory to Yang Yunfei, a six dan player. Cao Xihe, remorseful for his impulsive action, took full responsibility and offered to withdraw from the competition, pleading with the committee to give Ding Lan a rematch as she was innocent.

Ding Lan, deeply touched, apologized to Cao Xihe for his sacrifice. Cao Xihe comforted her, telling her it was his fault for being reckless. Ding Lan insisted he entered her room out of care, worried about her well-being. Cao Xihe encouraged her to focus on winning her matches and advancing to the next rank, calling her the "treasure of Jiuzhou Dojo" and his "favorite junior." Later, Ding Lan tearfully expressed her regret to seniors, feeling she had disgraced their dojo.

She was informed that their Master knew and had called, advising her to relax and focus on her games, stating they would "settle scores later." Ding Lan reiterated that Cao Xihe was not to blame. She then secretly vowed to Cao Xihe that she would not let his sacrifice be in vain. Ding Lan had a rematch against Yang Yunfei, this time as a blitz game.

Spectators noted Ding Lan's composed and confident demeanor, which contrasted sharply with Yang Yunfei’s nervousness. Sheng Jingchu commented on Ding Lan’s sharp and powerful play, noting that his earlier concerns about her state were unfounded. He playfully referred to her as "my junior." During the intense game, Cao Xihe, unable to contain his excitement, accidentally spilled a valuable Panax ginseng belonging to another spectator.

Ding Lan ultimately secured the victory with her undeniable skill, leaving no room for dispute from the committee. Sheng Jingchu proudly cheered for her win. After her victory, Ding Lan found Cao Xihe and, tearfully, shared her success. When he asked why she was crying, she expressed regret that he had been disqualified because of her, believing he could have won all his matches. Cao Xihe downplayed his sacrifice.

Ding Lan then emotionally confessed her past foolishness, acknowledging she hadn't realized how much he cared for her and sacrificed for her. Cao Xihe playfully chided her, pointing out that all his efforts were to make her happy, but she always valued her idols, particularly Jo Yeon Hoon, more. Ding Lan quickly interjected, revealing she had stopped being a fan of Jo Yeon Hoon after discovering his secret girlfriend.

She then confessed that Cao Xihe, being his true self, was "a hundred times more handsome" than all her idols combined. Cao Xihe, surprised and pleased, wondered why she hadn't expressed this earlier, jokingly complaining about his past "role-playing" attempts to figure out her preferences. Ding Lan then told him there was no need for him to "mess around" anymore.

Cheng Liao received a call from her boss, Ms. Liu, who tasked her with covering He Yu, a five dan player who had defeated Zhou Li Chuan and was identified as a dark horse. He Yu, having returned to competition from abroad, approached Sheng Jingchu, confessing her long-standing admiration and love for him. She stated that her primary reason for competing was to meet him and boldly declared herself a more suitable partner for him than his current girlfriend.

Sheng Jingchu dismissed her advances. When Cheng Liao attempted to interview He Yu, the young Go player refused, deeming Cheng Liao unqualified because she didn't understand Go, and stating that only Sheng Jingchu was worthy of interviewing her. Realizing the difficulty of her task, Cheng Liao persuaded a reluctant Sheng Jingchu to conduct the interview, reminding him of their relationship.

During the interview, He Yu candidly expressed that her goal in Go was to "meet you, play against you, and be with you." Despite Cheng Liao urging him to continue, Sheng Jingchu, clearly uncomfortable with He Yu's blunt declarations about their potential relationship, eventually walked away. In the final round of the competition, He Yu, as the dark horse, faced Sheng Jingchu.

Sheng Jingchu ultimately won the match, though for He Yu, meeting and playing against him was her primary goal. Sheng Jingchu was surprised by Cheng Liao's lack of jealousy, to which she explained her complete trust in him. She further added that his evident discomfort with He Yu only made her "even less jealous," declaring that the happiest thing was for the world to love him while only she possessed his love.

On the plane ride home after the competition, Ding Lan showed much consideration for Cao Xihe, which overwhelmed him. Sheng Jingchu and Cheng Liao, witnessing this, openly displayed their affection for each other, seemingly to set an example. However, Ding Lan then clarified that she and Cao Xihe were not actually in a relationship, leaving Cao Xihe frustrated and confused by her words. Upon returning, Cheng Liao submitted her resignation.

Her boss, though initially wanting to promote her, accepted her decision upon seeing her resolve. Cheng Liao took the opportunity to recommend a diligent colleague named Yan Xiao, also known as "Yan Baike" (Yan Encyclopedia), for a promotion, emphasizing Yan Xiao's dedication and thoroughness as a reporter. Although embarking on a new path, Cheng Liao felt a touch of sadness leaving her workplace, while her colleagues wished her well.

She met her friend Xu Chi, who also wished her well, followed by other colleagues who wished her good luck. Sheng Jingchu met her outside, playfully warning her not to get new best friends at her new workplace, including himself. She reminded him that she would be running a restaurant. He pulled off her work pass, telling her to "go out with style."

Sheng Jingchu picked up Cheng Liao, telling her he wanted to accompany her as she bid farewell to her past and started a new life. Upon arriving at her father's restaurant, Cheng Liao, now the "second-gen owner," felt a unique sense of empowerment but also that the place lacked her personal touch. She decided against a full renovation due to cost, opting instead for subtle decorations. Sheng Jingchu reassured her of his unwavering love, stating he didn't need anyone else.

Cheng Liao then had an idea to incorporate two elements into the restaurant's decor: "panda," a nickname for Sheng Jingchu, and "Go." Sheng Jingchu offered to be the "Go" element and suggested they go somewhere special tomorrow to find inspiration. Cao Xihe asked Ding Lan out, presenting her with snacks and tickets to a premiere movie, noting her free day on Wednesday. Ding Lan, however, wanted to clarify their relationship status.

Cao Xihe playfully called them "pure senior and junior," but Ding Lan explained that she couldn't accept his feelings or date him until she achieved professional seven dan. She acknowledged her deep affection for him but insisted on holding back for her personal goal. Cao Xihe expressed concern, reminding her that achieving seven dan is a difficult and potentially lengthy process.

Ding Lan, however, was resolute, explaining that this goal was her own unwavering belief and pursuit, not something forced upon her, and she hoped he would understand. Cao Xihe, ultimately supportive, agreed to wait. Despite her clear boundary, Ding Lan still suggested they go for food and the movie on Wednesday, defining their current arrangement as "secretly liking each other" while publicly remaining senior and junior.

Separately, Sheng Jingchu received an invitation to participate in an international mixed doubles Go competition. The Go association had initially approached Yao Ke, but his performance had declined significantly since the Ten-game Match, leading him to withdraw from public appearances and competitions. Feeling obligated, Sheng Jingchu found it difficult to refuse the association's request to represent as the male player. Upon hearing this, Cheng Liao immediately suspected that the female player chosen for the mixed doubles would be He Yu.
