He Ziqiu visits his grandfather in the hospital and returns the money Zhao Huaguang had given him.
Zhao Huaguang asks if He Ziqiu thinks he is heartless, but He Ziqiu says they have no emotional connection, making Zhao Huaguang's behavior understandable. Despite this, He Ziqiu recognizes Zhao Huaguang's filial piety towards his own father and finds him slightly less detestable. He Ziqiu promises to keep his appointments to visit his grandfather in exchange for the photos he requested.
After their meeting, Zhao Huaguang sends the photos to He Ziqiu, stating they are now even and need not meet again. He Ziqiu immediately forwards the photos to Zheng Shuran. Tang Can discusses her opportunity to perform in a play with her parents. She expresses her genuine love for acting, not just fame.

Chen Ting prepares a housewarming dinner but doesn't invite Li Jianjian, upsetting Qin Meiyang, who believes Chen Ting is pressuring Ling Xiao and will cause conflict.
