> Resúmenes de Go Ahead
Ling Xiao suffers from extreme insecurity, viewing Li Jianjian as his lifeline and feeling he cannot live without her, unlike Li Jianjian who lives well independently with friends. He reveals that during his time in Singapore, he constantly thought of Li Jianjian and home, daydreaming about marrying her, having a child, and a happy family, even naming the child.
Li Jianjian, concerned, asks if he has other interests or what he did in Singapore besides caring for Chen Ting and studying, then wonders if he is sick. Li Jianjian asks Qi Mingyue about Ling Xiao's experiences in Singapore, but Qi Mingyue, who only reported Li Jianjian's situation to him, recommends asking Ling Xiao directly. Li Jianjian worries Ling Xiao might have psychological problems.
She proactively starts caring for Ling Xiao, waiting for him after work and inviting him to lunch daily, promising to pick him up early. Ling Xiao finds this strange, but Li Jianjian playfully explains she is "pitying" him, telling him not to overthink when alone and to use his cleverness productively. Ling Xiao's mood brightens. Ling Heping, faking illness, takes Ling Xiao to see Doctor Zhao.
Doctor Zhao diagnoses Ling Xiao with liver qi stagnation and excessive mental stress, or high psychological pressure leading to potential physical changes, suggesting he see a psychiatrist. Ling Heping adamantly denies Ling Xiao is sick, slamming the table, insisting he only sleeps poorly, and expresses reluctance to follow the psychiatric suggestion due to concerns for Ling Xiao's reputation, despite the doctor's insistence that Ling Xiao has "mental problems" and suggestions for hospital checks.
Ling Heping is scolded for his conservative views. Ling Xiao, who overhears the conversation, appears relaxed and does not think his mental issues are serious. Ling Heping later advises Ling Xiao to open up to him, Li Haichao, He Ziqiu, or Li Jianjian if he cannot talk to him, emphasizing not to bottle things up.
Meanwhile, Qi Mingyue believes He Ziqiu has more significant psychological problems, noting his frustration after Li Jianjian chose Ling Xiao, his recent drinking, and the downturn in his coffee shop business. Li Jianjian attempts to help He Ziqiu by giving him her copyright fees, or a bank card, to pay off credit card debt, saying it's better to owe her than the bank. However, He Ziqiu coldly rejects the money, insisting he hates and doesn't need pity.
Li Jianjian, who only wished to help and not pity him, is left feeling disheartened as He Ziqiu closes the door on her, which she interprets as him closing his heart due to his excessive pride. At one point, Ling Xiao suddenly becomes angry and leaves a restaurant, accusing Li Jianjian of excessive pity. Li Jianjian follows him, trying to understand his sudden shift in mood and his experiences abroad.
Ling Xiao confesses his frequent yearning for Li Jianjian and home, and his insomnia since returning. Li Jianjian, deeply moved, embraces him and cries, realizing his loneliness. Later, when Li Jianjian visits Ling Xiao at the dental clinic after work and invites him to dinner, she again jokingly says she is "overflowing with love" and enjoys pitying people, deciding to pity him.
Confused and thinking she is still angry, Ling Xiao is surprised when Li Jianjian pulls his collar, bends him down, and kisses him on tiptoes before casually walking away. Li Jianjian, feeling down, calls Li Haichao. He cheers her up by joking and pretending to converse with others. Before hanging up, she expresses familial love, making Li Haichao realize his daughter has grown up and is grateful.
Li Jianjian feels guilty that Li Haichao has remained single for so many years because of her, and asks if he truly desires a partner. Li Haichao denies wanting one, stating he finds "helping each other" with Ling Heping to be good, and they even planned to go to a nursing home together in retirement. Li Jianjian playfully objects, promising to live with and care for him herself.
At Li Haichao's noodle shop, Mrs. Qian and Hongying, whom Li Haichao once went on a blind date with, are playing mahjong. The store employee Xiaozhu asks Li Haichao to fill in. Mrs. Qian asks Li Haichao about a recent meeting with He Mei, inquiring if it was solely for He Ziqiu or if anything else transpired. Li Haichao smiles and confirms He Mei is remarried, emphasizing her successful career and that she has a son.
Mrs. Qian speculates he still harbors feelings for He Mei, but Li Haichao denies it, stating he couldn't still be thinking of her. Upon hearing He Mei is remarried, Hongying happily shows active interest in Li Haichao, with other aunties trying to set them up. Mrs. Qian also remarks on Li Haichao's aging appearance compared to He Mei's ageless look.
