In a German laboratory, Yang Lanhang successfully completed his materials science experiment. As he celebrated with his colleagues, Frank suddenly held a gun to his head, fiercely trying to convince him to stay in Germany. Frank emphasized that the professor had already discussed the possibility of him remaining, and offered him any conditions he desired.
However, Yang Lanhang firmly insisted on returning to China with his new material, stating that "Nothing is better than home" and "Someone is waiting for me" there. Frank then pulled the trigger, and confetti burst forth, revealing it was a celebratory prank orchestrated by his colleagues who admired his work and wished he would stay. Yang Lanhang was eager to finally meet his online friend in person, only to discover that she had blocked him.

He argued that if her online friend truly cared, he would have met her upon returning to China, dismissing online messages as "fake."
Disgusted by his violation of her privacy and his "filthy" use of his skills, Bai Lingling sharply rebuked him. Wang Tao, fueled by alcohol, grew aggressive and attempted to grab Bai Lingling, claiming she was "mine." At that moment, Zheng Minghao appeared, pushing Wang Tao away and asking Bai Lingling if she was alright. Wang Tao, not backing down, accused Zheng Minghao of also being infatuated with Bai Lingling and offered to send him the chat logs.
