Resumen del episodio 16 de Ace Troops
> Resúmenes de Ace Troops
Jiang Nanzheng was preparing to report to the Art Troupe. Gao Liang decided to drive Gu Yiye to see her off. Coincidentally, Zhao Hongliu's sister was gravely ill, so Zhao Hongliu also joined them to catch a ride to the train station. Gu Yiye and Jiang Nanzheng hadn't seen each other since their breakup, but their reunion was less awkward, filled with easy conversation.
Gu Yiye, entrusted by Zhang Fei, asked Jiang Nanzheng to try on dresses he intended to buy for Axiu. As Jiang Nanzheng modeled a red dress, Gu Yiye was captivated. Gao Liang, watching from outside, also noticed the scene. Gu Yiye then excused Jiang Nanzheng, secretly intending to buy a second dress for her. However, Jiang Nanzheng, emphasizing their status as ordinary comrades, insisted on paying for her own dress.
Gu Yiye reluctantly and sadly agreed to let her pay the difference. Knowing Jiang Nanzheng's fondness for dresses, Gao Liang returned to his dormitory and frantically collected money, even borrowing from his comrades. He amassed a considerable sum and joyfully rushed back to the clothing store, purchasing over a dozen dresses. Meanwhile, a different atmosphere filled the Ninth Squad.
Under Gu Yiye's leadership, the soldiers enthusiastically prepared a secret welcome for Axiu, Zhang Fei's fiancée, whom they had only heard about. Since it was Axiu's first visit to the company and also her and Zhang Fei's unofficial wedding celebration, they planned a "test" for their old squad leader. Gu Yiye explained to the squad that their former sergeant, now Platoon Leader Zhang, treated them like brothers, and the Ninth Squad was his home.
Thus, he would surely bring his beautiful fiancée to show her off. He suggested they test their newly promoted platoon leader, using the sentiment 'Don't forget old friends when you get rich.' Jiang Weixing elaborated on the plan: family visits typically granted ten days to half a month leave. They would keep Zhang Fei occupied in the evenings so he couldn't be with his fiancée, revealing whether his fiancée or his comrades were more important to him.
Gu Yiye agreed, but limited the test to two days, emphasizing they couldn't be "too cold-blooded" to Axiu, who had traveled so far. Just as Gu Yiye finished speaking, Zhang Fei confidently entered, coughing twice, and a young woman in ethnic attire appeared at the door. Axiu, as her name suggests, was a refreshing and delicate girl, and somewhat shy. The soldiers swarmed her, showering her with attention and completely ignoring Zhang Fei.
Gu Yiye then approached Zhang Fei, took off his wristwatch, and placed it in Zhang Fei's hand as a wedding gift. Later, Gao Liang approached Jiang Nanzheng, asking her to wear a red dress just for him. Jiang Nanzheng, trying to prevent him from misunderstanding, reiterated that they were merely comrades. Seeing Gao Liang's disappointment, Jiang Nanzheng softened and started to change, but Gao Liang suddenly changed his mind.
He told her he didn't want to see her in the dress (referring to the one he believed Gu Yiye bought), and instead wanted to give her a "big gift" himself. He reminded her that he was an orphan with no family burdens, and his money usually went to comrades in need. He wanted to buy her a dress for the Art Troupe. Jiang Nanzheng clarified that the earlier dress wasn't a gift from Gu Yiye.
Gao Liang then pleaded with her to join him for one last run before her departure, mentioning a premonition about a major army movement, and adding, "I always think of my elder brother these two days." Jiang Nanzheng met Gao Liang at the sports field, but he was nowhere to be seen. As she prepared to leave, the surrounding lights illuminated, revealing Gao Liang perched on an electric pole.
He affectionately called her "my comrade Jiang Nanzheng," predicting she would soon be "a singer of many people." He then slid a pile of dresses down a rope, telling her, "I'm Gao Liang, your comrade, and a soldier from the countryside. I will always look at you and hope you will be young, beautiful, full of revolutionary passion, and be my comrade forever and ever."
Finally, holding the most vibrant red dress, he walked directly to Jiang Nanzheng, who was deeply moved and wept. Gu Yiye escorted Axiu back to the guesthouse, explaining that as a platoon leader, Zhang Fei had many responsibilities and couldn't personally accompany her. That evening, Axiu restlessly paced her guesthouse room. Hearing footsteps outside, she quickly applied face cream and sat on the bed. Zhang Fei, the groom, was notably nervous, stuttering as he spoke.
He asked if she had eaten and noted that Gu Yiye was very considerate for arranging the shredded pork rice noodles for her. He also proudly spoke of Gu Yiye as his best soldier. When Axiu playfully challenged his claim of being the best-looking, Zhang Fei deflected by talking about military standards of "good-looking" in drills and formations, adding that he was darker than others. Before Zhang Fei could return to his platoon, the "lights out" bugle sounded.
Jiang Weixing and other soldiers, following Gu Yiye's earlier signal, stealthily held Axiu's door shut, preventing Zhang Fei from leaving. Flustered, Zhang Fei found himself trapped. Axiu, seeing his distress, reassured him, saying she didn't care about his wealth, only that he was a soldier who carried a gun, a true man who protected the nation and its people.
She shared two requests: to meet his leaders the next day to thank them and ask them to be their marriage witnesses, and for him to stay the night. She concluded by saying she would wait for him at home if he couldn't return to marry her now. Zhang Fei was deeply touched and reached out to embrace her, but the two eavesdropping soldiers accidentally burst in, ruining the moment.
Zhang Fei quickly removed them, returning to the guesthouse late into the night. He initially thought Axiu would be asleep, but upon opening the door, he found her sitting on the bed in a red dress, like a bride awaiting her husband. Overjoyed and moved, they officially became husband and wife. Their brief newlywed bliss was cut short.
The next morning, an urgent command arrived: the entire division was to assemble within twelve hours, carrying all weapons and equipment, with two basic loads of ammunition, for a motorized march to Zhangmu Train Station, to deploy to the border for combat. Division 234 had already entered Level II readiness, with all personnel recalled and combat plans finalized. Zheng Yuan ordered a freeze on all transfers, including having Gao Liang intercept Jiang Nanzheng.
Gu Yiye, learning of the twenty-minute departure to the frontline, immediately sensed the gravity of the situation, looking at Zhang Fei who was still laughing with the others, his heart heavy. Other companies had already departed. The Ninth Company was assembled, but Axiu had gone out to buy gifts and hadn't returned. Qin Hanyong ordered Zhang Fei to stay behind and wait for her for an hour, then catch up at the train station.
However, witnessing his comrades preparing to leave for battle, Zhang Fei resolutely jumped onto a military vehicle. Gao Liang once again pleaded to join the fight. Zheng Yuan, who had developed a father-son bond with him, was reluctant, knowing that the Ninth Company would likely undertake the most brutal combat mission. However, in the hearts of the soldiers, joining the army was to defend their homeland, and they were prepared for sacrifice.
Ultimately, Zheng Yuan approved Gao Liang's request, allowing him to return to his unit with a letter of introduction. Zheng Yuan personally bid farewell to the thirteen thousand officers and soldiers departing for the battlefield, offering them a deep salute.
