Chu Limo, a show girl who had privately escaped from the palace, was hidden in Shenhou Mansion by the famous trappers. An Shigeng came to Shenhou Mansion to capture Chu Limo, but she had already left to find Leng Xue. Failing to find Chu Limo, An Shigeng seized the opportunity to seal up Shenhou Mansion and suspend all the trappers from their duties. Han Long became hopelessly addicted to a fragrant ointment.
An Shigeng brought a box of the ointment to Six Doors, and Han Long, in the throes of his addiction, begged An Shigeng for it. An Shigeng gave it to him, and Han Long eagerly consumed it in front of An Shigeng. An Shigeng's purpose in coming to Six Doors was to announce that Yu Chuntong would be taking over Han Long's position.
Han Long was dispirited because of his addiction, and An Shigeng took the opportunity to transfer his position to Yu Chuntong, who was Han Long's deputy. After being promoted, Yu Chuntong went to Han Long's room to mock him. Han Long, realizing Yu Chuntong had long been plotting for the position of head trapper, was eventually kicked out of Six Doors.
An Shigeng arranged for Han Long to enter the palace, allowing Xiang Wang to witness his drug use and remove him from his leadership of Six Doors. Jiaoniang, learning that Shenhou Mansion had been sealed, became worried and tried to persuade An Shigeng not to treat Zhuge so harshly, as they were siblings. An Shigeng, displeased that Jiaoniang was pleading for Zhuge, tricked her into drinking a cup of wine containing a drug that caused severe stomach pain.
Jiaoniang sought help from Zhuge, who discovered An Shigeng had poisoned the wine. Zhuge believed An Shigeng only intended to give Jiaoniang a warning and, not acknowledging the ties between himself and Jiaoniang, told her not to interfere in his affairs. Muxue developed feelings for Wu Qing, admiring his character.
She gave him a sachet she carried, a gesture of affection among women of the Qingge Tribe, expressing her willingness to protect him and take care of him in place of Ruyan and Limo. Wu Qing, unable to forget Ruyan, refused Muxue's gift, stating he had no time for matters of the heart. Chu Limo used her Mind-reading skill to suppress the wolf poison in Leng Xue's body, which was interfering with the healing of his other wounds.
Ji Yaohua felt dejected, realizing Leng Xue and Chu Limo would continue to love each other. Dao Furen, always indignant on Ji Yaohua's behalf, urged Ji Yaohua to eliminate Chu Limo, believing that if she did, Wu Qing might transfer his affection. Ji Yaohua was torn, knowing that if she killed Chu Limo, she would incur Leng Xue's hatred, as Chu Limo was the woman he deeply loved.
Dao Furen told Ji Yaohua that when Leng Xue recovered, she would witness him with Limo, which would be worse than death, so Dao Furen wanted to persuade Ji Yaohua to end Limo. With Chu Limo's Mind-reading skill calming him down, Dao Furen allowed the four-colored fish blood to flow through Leng Xue's meridians, thoroughly curing the two toxins in his body.
An Shigeng sought to exploit the fact that Shenhou Mansion was harboring the show girl Chu Yingxue to remove Shenhou Mansion, Zhuge Zhengwo. An Shigeng repeatedly exposed the corruption of officials within the court, and Xiang Wang grew more and more trusting and appreciative of him. Yu Chuntong, now in power, took the opportunity to retaliate against Han Long, venting all the resentment he had previously endured.
