> Resumos de Lucky With You
At Huang Yue's wedding, Hou Jue stepped onto the stage uninvited, announcing himself as a representative of Huang Yue's fifty-plus ex-boyfriends and offering "wedding wishes." He went on to describe Huang Yue as a person insatiable in her desires, always wanting more whether it was love, money, space, or freedom. He then thanked Bai Quan, Huang Yue's new husband, for "eradicating this cancer for society" and presented a large, fake diamond ring.
As Hou Jue started singing "Where is Spring," a groomsman lunged at him in a fury. Wu Shiyi, acting quickly, intervened and pulled Hou Jue off the stage, leading him out through the hotel's back exit where she had strategically parked their car. In the car, Hou Jue gloated, calling it the "most meaningful day" and speculating that Huang Yue and Bai Quan would be discussing divorce by nightfall.
Meanwhile, Huang Yue was trying to reassure a distressed Bai Quan, who was upset by the public humiliation, especially with both their families present. She insisted that her past with Hou Jue was over and her feelings for Bai Quan were sincere, but Bai Quan remained unconvinced, fearing Hou Jue's public display meant Huang Yue still held feelings for him. Elsewhere, Da Peng confessed to his introducer, Uncle Li, that he and Wu Shiyi had broken up.
He vehemently denied any wrongdoing on his part, instead fabricating a story that Wu Shiyi had become romantically involved with a client, which he claimed to have witnessed on the street. He painted himself as the victim, suggesting Wu Shiyi's reason for sealing his door was out of anger at being caught. Uncle Li expressed his disbelief, noting Wu Shiyi didn't seem like that kind of person.
Later, Qian Qian called Wu Shiyi to complain about her seventeenth failed blind date. Wu Shiyi, who was at the gym with Hou Jue, confided that her current client, Hou Jue, was incredibly difficult to manage, likening him to a wrinkled shirt she couldn't iron flat. Qian Qian offered to help with a "client follow-up" that afternoon.
Wu Shiyi then called Hai Xing's restaurant, Xingbake, to order a large portion of "Hai Xing fried rice" with extra meat and some blanched greens for lunch. At the restaurant, Hai Xing playfully bickered with his employee, Doll, who proudly announced she'd bought ten jin of garlic for just two yuan.
Hai Xing, who had earlier joked about Doll's over-the-top makeup, which he felt was driving customers away, explained that his restaurant was named Xingbake because it had four rooms, each housing two people, totaling eight, hence "Xingbake" from his name, Hai Xing. Doll, ever resourceful, asked if she could live in one of the rooms to save on rent, but Hai Xing firmly refused. Back at Hou Jue's office, Hai Xing arrived to deliver the food.
Qian Qian also showed up for her "client follow-up" and mistook Hai Xing, who was sitting in Hou Jue's chair, for Hou Jue. Hai Xing, amused, played along, flirting with Qian Qian and lavishly praising Wu Shiyi's professionalism, image, skills, and sense of responsibility, even suggesting he wanted to hire her for life. Just then, Hou Jue and Wu Shiyi returned. The misunderstanding was immediately apparent, much to Hai Xing's embarrassment and Qian Qian's surprise.
Hou Jue, far from praising Wu Shiyi, began listing her faults, complaining that she didn't follow orders, constantly followed him, and reported his activities to his father, effectively "standing on a moral high ground" to criticize and educate him. Qian Qian, trying to mediate, offered her WeChat for direct communication and promised to address his complaints. Hou Jue, noticing Hai Xing's evident interest in Qian Qian, suggested Hai Xing add her on WeChat instead, claiming he didn't carry his phone.
Hai Xing quickly scanned Qian Qian's QR code. Afterward, Wu Shiyi and Qian Qian went to lunch. Qian Qian expressed her concern about Hai Xing's behavior, but Wu Shiyi defended him, explaining that he was a good, capable person who ran his own restaurant and was likely just nervous around Qian Qian.
Qian Qian then elaborated on her own demanding family situation, revealing her father had recently called asking for 200,000 yuan, leaving her unsure how he spent all the money she sent home. She felt a kinship with Wu Shiyi over their "unreliable" families. She explained her strict criteria for a partner – good financial standing and educated – was born out of necessity, fearing she'd be dragged down otherwise.
She stated that if someone loved her deeply but lacked financial stability, she "wouldn't dare agree" to marry them, unwilling to burden them, especially since "familial love is so unreliable, let alone romantic love." Meanwhile, Hai Xing was enthusiastically showing Hou Jue Qian Qian's social media, praising her kindness (evidenced by feeding stray cats), athleticism (hitting golf balls over 300 yards), taste, figure, and overall perfection, even declaring her "his type" and his future wife.
Hou Jue, unimpressed, curtly told him he had "no chance" and was "no match" for such a woman. Later, a confidential email Hou Jue had sent to his foreign mentor, Professor Linda, was leaked and appeared on every employee's computer screen.
In the email, Hou Jue expressed extreme disappointment since returning to China, criticizing the company's design philosophy as "rigid and stubborn," just like his father's character, and lamenting the lack of creativity and independent thought among his colleagues, whom he called "yes-men." Wu Shiyi immediately notified the security department to report the hacking. When confronted by his father, Hou Zhirong, Hou Jue defiantly admitted the email was indeed his "true feelings."
Hou Zhirong, worried about his authority, ordered Hou Jue to retract the statement and apologize, threatening that the entire company would ostracize him. Hou Jue refused, stating he would neither apologize nor explain, as it reflected his genuine thoughts. At a subsequent meeting where Hou Jue was to present his design for the "Haicheng 8" project, the slides were maliciously replaced with inappropriate pictures of beautiful women, causing further embarrassment and disappointment for Hou Zhirong.
Hou Jue vehemently defended his work, insisting he had completed the project. Wu Shiyi stepped in, showing Hou Zhirong surveillance footage from Hou Jue's study, proving he had worked diligently until dawn and only fell asleep from exhaustion. Hou Zhirong, seeing the evidence, apologized to his son. However, his mood quickly shifted as he confronted Hou Jue about his continued participation in dangerous rescue operations, realizing Wu Shiyi had reported this to him.
Hou Jue defiantly stated he would not stop the rescue work and reiterated his disdain for having a bodyguard. Hou Zhirong, exasperated, retorted that he, the father, needed Wu Shiyi to protect his son, highlighting his constant worry. The argument ended with Hou Jue dismissively telling his father to keep Wu Shiyi if he needed her. Shortly after, Ma Zong cautiously inquired if Hou Zhirong wanted to withdraw from the Haicheng 8 bidding, given the compromised design plan.
Hou Zhirong, however, insisted on proceeding, emphasizing the importance of future collaboration with Haicheng Group. Later, Hou Jue invited Wu Shiyi for coffee. He subtly tried to butter her up, praising her integrity and suggesting their relationship had evolved into a "friendship," implying that some matters could remain between them without being reported to others.
Wu Shiyi, however, remained firm, stating that per her contract, she was obligated to report any of his rescue activities or actions that might endanger his personal safety to Hou Zhirong. She acknowledged that volunteering for rescue was a good thing but expressed her concern about his recklessness, noting she had never met anyone who cared so little for their own safety. She pressed him for a reason, but Hou Jue refused to explain.
