Following the physical altercation with Chen Ren, Zhou Yu'an’s hand injury became severely infected. The pain and fever caused her to grow dizzy and collapse at the office, an incident that drew significant attention from her colleagues. When she retreated to the pantry to find medicine, she found nothing suitable for her condition. Jiang Jiaqi kindly advised her to go to the hospital, noting that her wound was clearly inflamed, but Zhou Yu'an met his concern with sharp hostility.

She mockingly asked if playing the Good Samaritan made him feel virtuous or if he was simply a masochist, insisting she would endure the pain on her own. Meanwhile, Luo Lingling attempted to dump her workload onto Zhou Yu'an again, even producing a photo of Zhou Yu'an kissing Jiang Jiaqi to use as blackmail. Unfazed, Zhou Yu'an revealed she knew about Luo Lingling’s secret affair with the R&D Director, Deng Ning.

She confronted Luo Lingling in the restroom, demanding her phone. Having already decided to abandon her plan to frame Jiang Jiaqi, Zhou Yu'an wanted the incriminating photo destroyed. She exposed Luo Lingling’s illicit meetings with Deng Ning at the Jiashang Hotel, noting they had even used R&D project funds for their stays. Zhou Yu'an claimed to have invoices and photos of them together, threatening to send everything to the company’s internal email.

Terrified, Luo Lingling handed over her phone, and Zhou Yu'an deleted the evidence. After returning the work to Luo Lingling, Zhou Yu'an coldly suggested she stay late at the office instead of meeting Deng Ning at the Shangri-La, as she wouldn't be in the mood for pleasure after a long night of overtime. Later, Jiang Jiaqi went to a pharmacy to buy anti-inflammatory drugs, ibuprofen, and bandages, which he left in the office pantry for Zhou Yu'an.

She only realized he was the one who had helped her when she later listened to a recording of his trip to the pharmacy and found the supplies in the storage locker. Life was proving difficult for Yao Dongshan and Jiang Jialu in their new hauling venture. Jiang Jialu grew frustrated with Yao Dongshan’s tendency to slack off and make excuses about his physical health whenever heavy lifting was required.

After one delivery went uncollected, they split up to handle new orders. Yao Dongshan arrived at a skincare shop called Peterfu, where he saw a young staff member struggling to move a statue of the deity Guan Yu. Hoping to secure future business, Yao Dongshan stepped in to help "invite" the statue inside. However, the young man tripped on the stairs, and Yao Dongshan failed to catch the falling statue, which shattered on the pavement.

The shop owner immediately accused Yao Dongshan of causing the accident and demanded 50,000 yuan in compensation, claiming the broken statue represented the destruction of his fortune for the entire year. Despite Yao Dongshan’s pleas that it was the assistant who tripped, the owner pointed out the lack of surveillance cameras and threatened to have Yao Dongshan's account banned on the delivery platform.

Desperate to protect his livelihood and the money invested by his partners, Yao Dongshan offered all the cash he had, only to be mocked and forced to kneel and apologize in front of a crowd. Shamed, Yao Dongshan complied. As he walked back to his truck, he discovered a lunch box his sister—Jiang Jiaqi’s mother—had left for him.

He prayed she hadn't witnessed his humiliation, but when he later saw her on the road, her unusually kind words and sad smile confirmed his worst fears: she had seen him kneeling. Yao Dongshan eventually confessed the incident to Jiang Jiaqi and Jiang Jialu. While a furious Jiang Jialu wanted to settle the score with violence, Jiang Jiaqi restrained him to prevent the family from being ruined by a criminal act.

The next day, Jiang Jiaqi left work early, purchased a fruit basket, and visited the Peterfu shop. He calmly told the owner that while everyone faces humiliation in life, his family was his absolute bottom line. When the owner remained unrepentant, Jiang Jiaqi began systematically smashing the products in the store. He pointed out that the shop was selling "three-no" products—substandard goods with no production licenses or batch numbers.

He mocked the owner’s fraudulent claims about ingredients like telomerase and fullerene, noting that if such products were legitimate, the owner would be a Nobel laureate. Faced with the threat of being reported to the market regulators and the drug authority, the terrified owner agreed to go to Jiang Jiaqi's home to apologize and shut down the store. Jiang Jiaqi left him with a final warning never to sell such illegal products again.
