Abe, holding a stone seed, lamented its failure to sprout. Tang Qingfeng approached her, stating that the stone seed would never sprout. Seeing Tang Qingfeng, Abe immediately expressed her worry for his safety, chastising him for being reckless and self-righteous, reminding him he was just an ordinary person who couldn't carelessly enter dangerous places. Tang Qingfeng was amused by her concern, jokingly suggesting he should keep her by his side always, to which Abe readily agreed.
She then inquired about Li Fu's fate. Tang Qingfeng informed her that Li Fu had been killed, adding that he deserved his end for being swayed by greed and evil thoughts. Abe explained that Zero's Celestial Tower project was suspicious, meant to collect massive amounts of resentment and desires for sustenance. Tang Qingfeng recalled the recent strange deaths of people from the alien race in the alien village, realizing they were in danger, and rushed to investigate.
Meanwhile, Li Yi stationed guards day and night around the Emperor's Yangxin Hall, preventing anyone from visiting, including the Empress. When the Empress tried to inspect medicine being sent to the Emperor, Li Yi blocked her, curtly telling her to return to her palace for her own safety, showcasing his blatant disrespect and ambition. Taifu Ji advised Li Yi not to be too aggressive now that he was close to the throne.
He also questioned how Li Yi knew about the poisoning of the Emperor and how he rescued the Princess from King Qi. Li Yi threatened Taifu Ji, warning him not to ask too many questions, which left the Taifu deeply suspicious. Tang Qingfeng and Abe arrived at the alien village to find it deserted.
Abe deduced that Zero had already begun his plans and they needed to quickly locate the core of the Eye of the Universe to prevent global catastrophe. She explained that the Eye possessed immense power to control other planets, but required its core energy source to be activated. Xiao Zhihe then arrived to report that the escaping alien villagers claimed they were arrested by Datang soldiers.
Both Tang Qingfeng and Abe found this puzzling, especially given the clear energy residue left by Zero. They suspected Zero was impersonating Datang forces and decided to investigate the Celestial Tower for clues. Inside the Celestial Tower, Zero and Li Yi prepared to activate the Eye of the Universe, but were shocked to discover its core energy source was missing. Guided by strong electric waves, Tang Qingfeng and Abe stealthily made their way through the tower, dodging numerous traps.
Abe, sensing many of her own kind inside, was eager to rush in, but Tang Qingfeng urged caution, reminding her that Zero would be on guard. He skillfully deactivated the mechanisms. Zero, sensing their presence, convinced Li Yi to seize the opportunity to eliminate Tang Qingfeng, calling him a threat to Datang and a rival for Abe's affections. Li Yi, swayed by Zero's words, activated an arrow array. Tang Qingfeng took an arrow directly to the heart.
Abe quickly rushed him away. Li Yi, upon hearing Abe's voice outside, deactivated the array, allowing her time to escape. Back at their hideout, neither Abe nor Duo Miaomiao could save Tang Qingfeng. Duo Miaomiao had found a space shuttle left by the Maoqiuxing Prince, programmed for a one-way trip to Maoqiuxing. Realizing their limitations, Abe frantically rushed to the palace to fetch a royal physician, eating braised pork to increase her speed.
Despite her efforts, the physician declared Tang Qingfeng dead due to the arrow hitting his heart and severe blood loss. Abe was devastated, refusing to believe it. She rushed back to Tang Qingfeng, pleading with him to wake up, promising never to make him angry, to listen to him, and to give up her revenge if he would just return. Remembering how his kisses always made her heart race, she desperately kissed him, hoping to revive his heartbeat.
At that moment, Tang Qingfeng's consciousness entered a blank space. There, Bai Yu, who was the energy source personified, told him he had died, which Tang Qingfeng found hard to accept. Sensing Abe's despair, Tang Qingfeng yearned to return to her, but Bai Yu regretfully said it would be difficult. Li Yi, upon receiving news of Tang Qingfeng's death, was pleased.
He ordered all urgent documents related to Nanzhao to be intercepted and brought to him, warning his eunuch about the consequences of any leaks. Taifu Ji confronted Li Yi about an urgent Nanzhao document, inquiring about the situation. Li Yi falsely claimed a Nanzhao rebellion and that he had already sent troops to suppress it. Taifu Ji expressed shock that no one in court knew of such a significant event, especially with the upcoming marriage alliance with Nanzhao.
Li Yi, now acting with unchecked authority, dismissed the Taifu, telling him he had his own plans. Abe, heartbroken, recalled her sweet memories with Tang Qingfeng. Li Yi tried to console her and win her over, but Abe was cold, telling him he wasn't even worthy of comparison to Tang Qingfeng. She even stated that if Tang Qingfeng hadn't made her abandon her revenge, she would kill Li Yi now.
Enraged and suspicious of Abe's true identity, Li Yi secretly vowed to make her marry him willingly. Later, Abe cried over the stone seed Tang Qingfeng had given her, calling him a liar for saying it would bloom and promising never to leave her. As her tears fell on the stone, it rapidly grew into a large tree.
Abe turned to see Tang Qingfeng walking towards her, and they shared a loving embrace and kiss under the tree, both shedding tears of joy. Meanwhile, Zero acknowledged that only the Jile clan knew the location of the energy source, but Jile had vanished since the Eye of the Universe was acquired. Li Yi promised to find the energy source quickly, believing it would grant him ultimate power and make Abe his Empress.
Duo Miaomiao expressed concern about being unable to contact Jile. Abe, however, was more focused on feeding Tang Qingfeng various supplements, seemingly unconcerned. Tang Qingfeng remembered that the alien villagers were reportedly captured by Datang soldiers and suspected Zero had infiltrated the palace again. Duo Miaomiao offered to investigate the Celestial Tower. Abe readily agreed, but when Tang Qingfeng suggested going with him, Abe vehemently forbade him, prompting Duo Miaomiao to comment on her favoritism.
Tang Qingfeng asked Abe if she missed Duoxing, and Abe affirmed her love for him, saying she only wished to remain by his side. Tang Qingfeng was deeply moved. Abe then asked how he had returned from the dead. Tang Qingfeng explained that Bai Yu had saved him from the blank world by transferring all of her life's energy to him, healing his heart and allowing him to revive. He added that Bai Yu must be connected to his gouyu, as the artifact had lost its luster after his revival.
