> Resúmenes de Veil of Shadows
The Flood Dragon clan’s territory is consumed by a sudden, bloody massacre. As Wu Shiguang and Wu Wangyan rush back, they find disciples wearing human skin masks ruthlessly slaughtering their kin. During the chaos, Wu Shiguang’s bracelet falls and is retrieved by Wu Wangyan. Suddenly, a frost magic technique belonging to the Formless Moon sect envelops the area in ice.
An impostor wearing Wu Wangyan’s face attacks, leading the real Wu Wangyan to admit that this duality is a secret she has long kept hidden. As the two versions of Wangyan duel, Wu Shiguang channels the Dragon Deity's Power to protect the woman he trusts. He soon realizes his opponent is not actually Wangyan, but is being puppeteered by the demon Jiu Ying.
Amidst the chaos of the wedding, Wu Zhiqi seizes the Star Stone and flees, pursued by Chi Wen and Lu Wuyi. During the chase, Lu Wuyi’s sachet falls, providing the perfect opening for Little Nine—the true form of Jiu Ying—to possess her body. Nearby, Xie Lingxi confronts Wu Zhiqi, explaining that even if Shiguang’s life is used as a threat, the curse of the petrified clan cannot be undone.
Meanwhile, Li Jie’s investigation into the Shilin Sect confirms that Jiu Ying is the malevolent architect behind the group's actions. Chi Wen, having long suspected the markings on Little Nine’s forehead, forces the demon to reveal its origins. Jiu Ying explains it was once a venomous egg buried underground, poisoning the Aodeng tribe until the Star Stone’s descent hatched it.
After consuming the stone's energy and the blood of Di Zhu to sustain its first possession, the demon grew more heads by feeding on human fear and despair. Jiu Ying reveals its ultimate goal: to force humanity and the demon race into a war of mutual destruction, just as it did during the Yuan Clay Incident. By scattering eighty-one spirit fragments across the world, Jiu Ying has ensured its own immortality.
The conflict intensifies as the butterfly demon twin, Yuan Wuhuo, attempts to use a parasite to destroy the Star Stone, but the hero Yuan Wuhuo intervenes and destroys the insect. Later, the butterfly demons kidnap Wu Zhiqi, and in the ensuing struggle, Tian Di dies in a massive explosion to save him. As Li Jie attempts to retrieve the falling Star Stone, the villainous Yuan Wuhuo stabs him.
Li Jie dies without ever learning the truth of his lineage, while the butterfly demon is haunted by the sight of his own face on the man he just struck down. In another corner of the struggle, Xie Lingxi rescues a young Shiguang from the Jiu Ying-controlled impostor. Though he succeeds in forcing the demon out of the body, Xie Lingxi is mortally wounded in the process.
Before he passes away, he entrusts his Buddhist prayer beads to the young Shiguang. Inside the illusionary realm, Chi Wen is severely injured while protecting Lu Wuyi from Jiu Ying’s attacks. Desperate to reclaim her body, Lu Wuyi uses an ice spike to stab herself, forcing the demon to flee her physical form. Jiu Ying quickly shifts its possession to Wu Zhiqi, causing his power to spiral out of control and trigger a massive hurricane.
While Bai Ze assists Wu Zhiqi in protecting the Star Stone outside the illusion, the butterfly demon Yuan Wuhuo takes advantage of the chaos to siphon the Dragon Deity's Power for himself. Trapped within the storm, Lu Wuyi and Chi Wen struggle to reach the Star Stone. Lu Wuyi anchors herself to a rock wall with an ice spike, refusing to let go of Chi Wen as the winds threaten to tear them apart.
Braving the lacerating gale, they touch the stone together and successfully escape the illusion. Once safe, Lu Wuyi hopes their shared brush with death has changed their relationship, but Chi Wen remains silent and coldly pulls his hand away from hers.
