Resumen del episodio 3 de Hello, My Shining Lover
> Resúmenes de Hello, My Shining Lover
Chen Fei'er, a model, returned from overseas and immediately sought out Du Guruonan, but instead encountered Ji Mo. After a brief misunderstanding, Chen Fei'er and Du Guruonan were reunited. The close friends sat on the sofa, discussing life and relationships. Despite their differing views, they deeply respected each other's opinions. Meanwhile, Ji Mo lay in bed, dreaming of his ex-girlfriend Su Xiao returning after graduation. In his dream, he had bought their current rented apartment, hoping to marry her.
However, a younger Ji Mo was focused on building his career and hesitated to marry early. In that moment of hesitation, Su Xiao suddenly vanished from his dream, leaving him to wake up feeling profoundly lost. For the new brand ambassador, Ji Mo meticulously reviewed many model portfolios, rejecting each one. He was looking for someone "lively, versatile, highly adaptable, with innate confidence" who possessed "sophistication and worldly experience" rather than just fame.
When Alan recommended Chen Fei'er, a rising model who was very popular online and whose street style often created bestsellers, Ji Mo immediately approved her, despite her known "scandals and gossip," making her the next season's ambassador. Following this, Ji Mo explained his design philosophy for plus-size formal wear to his team. He criticized their tendency to make clothes appear slimming, stating that his true goal was to make women "happier" and "love themselves more," not to "please others."
He elaborated that modern obesity is often linked to excessive mental stress, leading to metabolic imbalances. Therefore, their designs should not only address "visible waistlines" but also alleviate "psychological negative emotions and fixed mindsets," enabling women to "smile with more confidence" and "present themselves more confidently." He urged the team to empathize with their clients to truly understand them.
Due to Song Zihao's car accident, advertisers sent a legal notice to the company, demanding immediate contract termination and substantial penalty fees. With public opinion criticizing the company for shielding Du Guruonan, the boss decided to suspend her from work. He told Du Guruonan that her past "merits and faults cancel out" and reminded her of the industry's cruelty, stating that "no one is irreplaceable." He then appointed Tong Tong to take over her artist management duties.
Du Guruonan confronted Tong Tong, accusing her of not informing her about the advertisers' demands and leaking news of Song Zihao's accident to the media. She reminded Tong Tong that she had mentored her and provided countless opportunities. Tong Tong harshly retorted, accusing Du Guruonan of being self-righteous and condescending, always "doling out" opportunities.
She claimed that everyone who worked for Du Guruonan eventually left, citing Song Zihao and Lin Huan as examples, adding that Du Guruonan was "destined to be unloved" because she only valued "work and gains and losses." Overwhelmed by this betrayal and the company's decision, Du Guruonan sought solace in alcohol.
She went to a spicy hot pot restaurant, telling the owner that the spiciness "made my tear ducts explode" and ordering more alcohol despite warnings, insisting that she could "handle any kind of pain." Later that night, heavily intoxicated, Du Guruonan was returning home when she stumbled in the elevator lobby. Ji Mo, returning from work, found her. He scolded her for being a "total drunkard" and a "jinx," teasing her about her "fall."
Du Guruonan tearfully confessed her heartache, asking why everyone disliked her. Ji Mo, seeing her distress, helped her back to her apartment. The next morning, Du Guruonan woke up alone, her head throbbing. She panicked, wondering if something had happened with Ji Mo. Ji Mo then appeared, teasing her about her "passionate" behavior while drunk. Du Guruonan, embarrassed, tried to dismiss it as unconscious "bad habits" and claimed to be a "rational person" when sober.
Ji Mo, however, demanded that she sell him her downstairs apartment as compensation for "keeping him up all night." Du Guruonan refused but offered to extend his lease indefinitely and give him first priority if she ever decided to sell the apartment. Before leaving for work, Ji Mo paused and advised Du Guruonan that "self-expression" was paramount for a designer or agent.
He told her that compromising herself to "please the masses" or seeking universal understanding would only make her "too ordinary." He encouraged her to embrace her true self and "take back what you've lost." Inspired by Ji Mo's words, Du Guruonan returned to the company. She presented evidence of past scandals for which she had taken the blame, threatening to hold a press conference and "make all this public" if the company chose to "burn bridges and kick me out."
She demanded her position back. In negotiations with the advertisers, Du Guruonan acknowledged that Song Zihao had completed all his advertisements for the year. She then proposed a bold plan: she would "train someone within a year who can replace him." If she failed to fulfill this promise, she would pay "double the compensation." Seeing this as a "guaranteed win," the advertisers agreed.
Facing the daunting task of finding a new talent in a year, Du Guruonan called for a meeting with the company's artists. Tong Tong had already spread rumors, telling artists that following Du Guruonan would lead to a lack of resources. Du Guruonan asserted that the true resource lay in the relationship between "agents and artists," with agents being the "generals."
She offered to personally mentor anyone willing to stay, but also allowed those who wished to leave to do so freely, stating she wouldn't stop them. As a result, almost all the artists left, leaving only a young man named Si Da. At a film set, Si Da, a 21-year-old aspiring actor who had never been in a relationship, struggled with a kissing scene due to his severe opposite-sex interaction disorder. He had been a perpetual extra for years.
Tong Tong, now the talent director, publicly humiliated him, calling him "trash" and "not cut out for this industry." Du Guruonan, arriving on set, immediately defended Si Da, calling Tong Tong "visionless." She then boldly offered Si Da the chance to be her artist, promising to turn him into a "top-tier star." Si Da, despite his earlier embarrassment, eagerly accepted.
Du Guruonan learned that Si Da was 21 years old, had graduated from an engineering university, and lacked any professional acting training. He had spent the past year playing minor roles like "corpses" or a "mentally disabled person" who merely smiled for a month. Du Guruonan inwardly despaired at the prospect of training a "complete amateur" and felt "heart-cold."
However, she observed his handsome face and decided to begin his transformation by taking him shopping for new clothes, aiming to "turn decay into wonder." While having a meal after their shopping spree, Si Da revealed his deep admiration for Stephen Chow's "The King of Comedy." He recounted how the protagonist, an extra, often had his lunch box thrown to dogs because he failed to meet the director's expectations.
Si Da admitted that he would deliberately go hungry on days he felt he hadn't performed well, as a form of self-discipline, because he didn't feel he "deserved this meal" as a "real actor." Deeply moved by Si Da's unwavering dedication to his dream, Du Guruonan shed her initial doubts. She affirmed her decision to take him on, promising to support him as his agent through all future obstacles.
She made him promise to never forget his humble beginnings and the hunger he endured, even after becoming a big star. Before officially taking him under her wing, Du Guruonan laid down strict rules: Si Da must obey her unconditionally, never lie, avoid her, or ignore her calls. His phone must be on 24/7, and he must reply to WeChat messages within two minutes. He must follow her directions precisely, even down to his diet.
Si Da accepted every rule without hesitation, expressing his profound gratitude. Du Guruonan then confirmed he was officially her artist, telling him, "The dream is just beginning." Separately, Chen Fei'er received an invitation from Wing Fashion and went to meet Ji Mo in person. Upon seeing him, she immediately recalled their earlier misunderstanding. Her late arrival, however, greatly displeased Ji Mo.
He emphasized that punctuality was a model's fundamental principle, as a late model meant the clothes she was meant to display would lose their opportunity. Ji Mo's stern attitude initially angered Chen Fei'er, causing her to stand up to leave. Yet, she found the man quite interesting and decided she wanted to observe him for a while longer.
