> Resúmenes de Guardians of the Ancient Oath
After being severely wounded by An Tingfeng's exorcism, Hou Zhengze slowly regained consciousness. He tearfully confided in Qiu Xiaotong, insisting he was not a demon nor a vessel for one, and expressed his desire to live a normal life, fearing she would reject him because of his condition. Qiu Xiaotong gently held his outstretched hand, reassuring him that no matter if he was human or demon, they would always be the best of friends.
She firmly told him he was not a demon or a vessel and urged him to rest. Witnessing Hou Zhengze's grave injuries, Baili Hongshuo wanted to confront An Tingfeng for retribution. However, Baili Hongxuan restrained him, explaining that despite An Tingfeng's harsh methods, it was the only way to force the demon out of Hou Zhengze, ultimately saving his life. Baili Hongxuan emphasized their inexperience with demons and the necessity of An Tingfeng's aid, advising patience and careful consideration.
Just as they were speaking, An Tingfeng arrived and invited the two brothers to observe the transformed Li City. Although Li City had been desolate, it was now brightly lit and bustling with activity. An Tingfeng explained that while the acrobats and onlookers appeared human, they were all, in fact, demons.
He provided Baili Hongxuan and Baili Hongshuo with Xun Grass, which would prevent the demons from discovering their true identities, and strictly warned them not to lose it before they split up. An Tingfeng chose not to accompany them, acknowledging his own ruthless methods might cause distrust. Baili Hongxuan immediately sensed that the Treading Cloud House harbored the strongest demonic presence. As they drew closer, the surrounding area grew quiet, with no other lesser demons visible.
Upon entering the building, they found the powerful demon responsible for Li City's current state waiting for them. She spoke to Baili Hongxuan as an old acquaintance, calling him "Zhu Rong," lamenting that he hadn't yet recovered his memories as the Fire God. She introduced herself as Ugly Female Corpse. She explained that she was once the most powerful faerie, who, along with Hou Yi, protected mortals during a time when ten suns appeared.
She was burned to death, but only Hou Yi's bravery was remembered, leaving her with a deep sense of betrayal. Her spirit, clinging to this resentment, wandered the mortal world until the descent of a deity revived her spiritual power, granting her a new life as a demon. Having been given this chance, Ugly Female Corpse chose to establish her own world in Li City, far from the lands that had forsaken her.
She acknowledged that without Baili Hongxuan and Baili Hongshuo reawakening their own powers, she could not have fully revived, humorously thanking them for their unwitting assistance. However, she made it clear that since they sought her power, she would not yield without a fight. Their battle was abruptly interrupted by the arrival of Ming Yefeng and Baili Hongyi. As daybreak approached, Ugly Female Corpse escaped, and Baili Hongyi fell unconscious. Baili Hongshuo, wary of An Tingfeng's ruthless tactics, was cautious.
Baili Hongxuan, however, recognized that Ming Yefeng, possessing the power of the Wood God, was, despite their past conflicts, on their side in this larger struggle against demons. Baili Hongxuan urged his brother to sever his emotional ties with Baili Hongyi. Jin Yang later reinforced this, advising Baili Hongshuo to accept that his past with Baili Hongyi was over and that private sentiments could not be indulged during the current demonic crisis.
She suggested he bury his feelings deep in his heart. Ming Yefeng explained that after they left Ye City, Baili Hongyi had been controlled by a demon that was active only at night. Every evening, she would transform into a murderous entity, only to forget everything upon waking the next morning. Unable to find a cure, Ming Yefeng had no choice but to follow her, which eventually led them to Li City.
An Tingfeng speculated that understanding Ugly Female Corpse's purpose in Li City was crucial to uncovering the truth behind Baili Hongyi's condition, especially since Baili Hongyi's appearance might be related to the demon formation. As night fell again, Ming Yefeng watched over Baili Hongyi. The demon within her reawakened, taunting Ming Yefeng about his reluctance to admit their true relationship.
Finding him unresponsive, she declared the day boring, attacked An Tingfeng who had been ambushing her, and drew the attention of the others. The possessed Baili Hongyi announced her intention to reclaim something taken from her by Jin Yang and headed to the Treading Cloud House. Temporarily setting aside their differences, the group, including Baili Hongxuan, Baili Hongshuo, Ming Yefeng, An Tingfeng, and Jin Yang, combined their powers to break through the barrier set by Ugly Female Corpse.
Inside Treading Cloud House, Ugly Female Corpse began to mock their alliance, but Ming Yefeng, annoyed by her excessive talking, attacked first. After a combined effort, they defeated Ugly Female Corpse. Her body dispersed into several streams of spiritual energy, which then settled into each of them, forming identical marks.
Just as the possessed Baili Hongyi was about to kill her beloved pet, a Zhen bird, the rush of spiritual energy into her body caused her to collapse, falling unconscious once more as the mark appeared on her. With Ugly Female Corpse defeated, everyone experienced a shared illusion: a vision of a beautiful mountain where the Five Gods collectively created a desolate land. Ming Yefeng recognized this place as Red Pine Stream, the forbidden land of the Wolf Tribe.
Meanwhile, Hou Zhengze and Qiu Xiaotong were walking through the streets of Li City, which was still populated by scattering demons in the wake of Ugly Female Corpse's defeat. When a demon accidentally collided with Hou Zhengze, he staggered backward. However, when a demon passed directly through Qiu Xiaotong's body, it caused no impact, suggesting a mysterious aspect to her nature. Qiu Xiaotong noticed that the demon-filled town was fading, with only Treading Cloud House still radiating light, leading her to believe that their companions were gathered inside.
