A jade box mysteriously appeared at the entrance of Chonghua Palace, emitting a soft glow that caught Chong Zi's attention. Inside, she found a mirror, reflecting a serene blue ocean with birds soaring overhead. It was the Shadow Mirror, a treasure of Qinghua Palace, and a gift from Zhuo Hao. Chong Zi's thoughts immediately turned to Zhuo Hao, wondering if he was serious about marrying her and what her Master, Luo Yinfan, would think.

She secretly vowed not to tell Luo Yinfan, wanting only to stay by his side forever. Meanwhile, Zhuo Hao was convinced that Chong Zi would love his gift. Fearing that Qin Ke and Luo Yinfan, who were always by her side, would gain an advantage, he decided he had to act fast. He rushed to his father, Zhuo Yao, proclaiming his serious intent to marry Luo Yinfan's disciple.

Zhuo Yao was initially hesitant, reminding Zhuo Hao that he had doted on many immortal ladies from various palaces. He expressed concerns about Chong Zi, citing rumors that Luo Yinfan, despite doting on her, hadn't taught her any spells, and her unexplained ability to escape Wan Jie twice hinted at a deeper secret. However, Zhuo Hao passionately pleaded, affirming his unwavering love for Chong Zi, and insisting that he knew her character better than anyone.

Seeing his son's sincerity, Zhuo Yao reluctantly agreed to personally visit Nanhua and propose marriage. Luo Yinfan had been absent frequently, and Chong Zi, though usually mischievous, was now unusually quiet and cautious. Even in her sleep, a trace of anxiety lingered on her face. Luo Yinfan observed her, deep in thought. In her dream, Chong Zi clutched his sleeve, murmuring that she didn't want to marry and wished to remain with him always.

Soon after, Zhuo Yao arrived at Nanhua to propose. Min Yunzhong was pleased, viewing the marriage as an opportunity to rid Nanhua and Luo Yinfan of Chong Zi, who was born with an inborn evil breath. He began to agree, but Luo Yinfan suddenly intervened, flatly rejecting the proposal. He stated that Chong Zi was too young for marriage and needed to cultivate her immortal bones by his side.

When Zhuo Yao questioned if Luo Yinfan was hiding a secret about Chong Zi, Luo Yinfan harshly criticized Zhuo Yao's "unfounded speculation," likening him to an "uncouth villager." Offended, Zhuo Yao angrily departed. Yu Du later advised Luo Yinfan that his abrupt refusal was impolite and that Chong Zi's marital prospects should involve her input, especially since Zhuo Hao was a promising and attractive young man who apparently had a good relationship with her.

Luo Yinfan remained silent and returned to Chonghua Palace. Upon entering Chong Zi's room, he found the Shadow Mirror. Recognizing it as a rare treasure from Qinghua Palace and a gift from Zhuo Hao, he mused that Zhuo Hao was skilled at charming girls, and perhaps Chong Zi felt lonely on Zizhu Peak. Just then, a distraught Chong Zi rushed in, her eyes teary. She quickly denied any familiarity with Zhuo Hao, explaining she had just received the mirror.

Luo Yinfan calmly told her that she had grown up, had her own thoughts, and he wouldn't interfere with her friendships. He offered her the choice: if she truly felt a connection with Zhuo Hao, she could leave Zizhu Peak to explore the outside world. Overwhelmed, Chong Zi hugged Luo Yinfan from behind, vehemently denying any affection for Zhuo Hao and declaring she would never leave Chonghua Palace.

She then smashed the mirror on the ground, lamenting that she would sooner fall in love with a Suanni lion than with Zhuo Hao. She tearfully pleaded with Luo Yinfan not to leave her, reminding him of her loyalty and the things she did to make him happy. Luo Yinfan gently comforted her, assuring her that he had already declined the proposal. As her tears subsided, a deeper, unspoken affection stirred within him.

The mood lightened as Luo Yinfan teased her, calling her a "troublemaker" who he was destined to clean up after. Chong Zi playfully retorted, calling him a "blockhead" only she could tolerate. They concluded that they, as two "weirdos," were fated to depend on each other on Zizhu Peak. Meanwhile, Zhuo Yao chastised his son, calling the whole affair a "shame" for Qinghua and forbidding Zhuo Hao from ever mentioning Chong Zi or going to Nanhua again.

Enraged, Zhuo Hao tried to confront Luo Yinfan, wanting to hear from Chong Zi directly, but his father forcefully restrained him, sending him to reflect on his actions. Later that night, Luo Yinfan sat by a pond. Chong Zi approached, holding a small red carp from the Mortal World. She explained it was a replacement for the previous fish, Xiaojin, which she had sent away.

She promised that this new fish, though ordinary, would accompany him for the rest of its life, just as she wished to stay with him. Luo Yinfan playfully asked who else but her would harm it, then named the fish "Zi." Chong Zi jokingly asked which "Zi" he preferred to accompany him. Elsewhere, Wang Yue observed Chong Zi and Luo Yinfan, noting the rapid and smooth progression of their relationship, even surpassing his plans, attributing it to their destiny.

He also acknowledged Chong Zi's realization that Wan Jie was Chu Bufu, the man who brought her into the immortal sect, and how difficult it must be for her to accept his demonic transformation. He concluded that the time was ripe to act. That night, in the Ancestor's Hall, bells began to toll, and the Tianmo Token glowed with an eerie red light. Chong Zi woke from a nightmare, believing it was just a dream.

The next morning, a frightened disciple reported that the Tianmo Token had moved and there were bloodstains on the ground. Min Yunzhong and Yu Du gathered all disciples, announcing that someone had trespassed into the Ancestor's Hall the previous night, attempting to awaken the Tianmo Token using a blood curse.

A disciple explained that the Tianmo Token, sealed by Demon King Ni Lun with a forbidden technique, could only be unsealed by a blood curse from a close relative, which Ni Lun did not have. The attempt had failed, but it confirmed a demonic spy was among them. Min Yunzhong demanded the culprit confess, promising leniency, otherwise, severe punishment. When no one confessed, Min Yunzhong instructed Yu Du to use the Book of Secrets to reveal the truth.

The Book of Secrets projected an image of Chong Zi slowly approaching the Tianmo Token, cutting her palm, and sprinkling blood onto it. Chong Zi watched in horror, realizing her nightmare was a real event. Sima Miaoyuan accused Chong Zi of quibbling, but Luo Yinfan swiftly silenced her. Chong Zi insisted she was not the culprit, claiming she was groggy and had only dreamed the scene, never leaving her room or learning any blood curse.

She stated that the Tianmo Token actually caused her nightmares, and she actively avoided it. As disciples moved to apprehend Chong Zi, Luo Yinfan intervened, asserting his knowledge of Chong Zi's character, believing she wouldn't do such a thing and had no reason to. Mu Yu suggested that Chong Zi's dream account might be credible, recalling that Demon King Ni Lun's subordinates were skilled in nightmare techniques that could manipulate minds.

Sima Miaoyuan dismissed this, citing Nanhua's tight security, but Mu Yu proposed using the Book of Secrets to check if Chong Zi was afflicted by such a spell. Chong Zi readily agreed, offering to cooperate with any investigation. Yu Du decided to temporarily imprison Chong Zi in the Immortal Prison to separate her from the Tianmo Token, promising a thorough investigation. Chong Zi fearlessly declared that suffering was nothing compared to clearing her name, trusting Luo Yinfan to uphold justice.

Luo Yinfan, proud, affirmed her as his disciple. On the way to the Immortal Prison, Sima Miaoyuan and her fellow disciples harassed Chong Zi, taunting her for never training with them and challenging her to demonstrate Luo Yinfan's teachings. Chong Zi refused to fight, stating Luo Yinfan's disciples do not seek conflict or harm others. Sima Miaoyuan then drew her sword, slashing Chong Zi's face. Suddenly, Zhuo Hao appeared, angrily condemning Sima Miaoyuan's bullying.

Sima Miaoyuan informed him that Chong Zi was being punished for attempting to steal the Tianmo Token. Zhuo Hao, undeterred, offered to take Chong Zi away. However, Chong Zi refused, insisting that fleeing would only confirm her guilt and that she had promised to wait for Luo Yinfan. Zhuo Hao grew frustrated by her constant reliance on her master, pointing out that Luo Yinfan had left her vulnerable.

As Sima Miaoyuan tried to escort Chong Zi away, Wan Jie suddenly appeared and abducted Chong Zi, leaving a stunned Zhuo Hao behind. News of Chong Zi's abduction quickly reached Luo Yinfan. Min Yunzhong, though acknowledging the dire situation, cautioned Luo Yinfan that saving Chong Zi would be dangerous and violate rules, especially given her suspected involvement with the Tianmo Token.

Luo Yinfan, however, retorted that if he couldn't protect his own disciple, he couldn't protect the immortal sects or the common people. He immediately dispatched all disciples to search for Chong Zi's whereabouts, but discreetly ordered his aide to report findings only to him, without alerting others. Chong Zi awoke in an unfamiliar place to find Chu Bufu playing a zither.

She recognized him as the immortal who had saved her in Panhai Town and questioned why he had become a demon. Chu Bufu, now Wan Jie, coldly denied his former identity, stating he was only Demon King Wan Jie. Chong Zi defiantly declared she wasn't afraid and would not curry favor with him, asking what purpose her abduction served. Wan Jie, annoyed by her persistence, harshly warned her to be silent or risk her life, then angrily struck her.

Meanwhile, Luo Yinfan and Zhuo Hao, having converged, stormed into the Demon God Hall, confronting Wang Yue. Zhuo Hao angrily demanded Wan Jie surrender Chong Zi, blaming Luo Yinfan for her current predicament. Luo Yinfan, in turn, told Zhuo Hao to stay out of his disciple's affairs. Wang Yue, amused, stated Wan Jie was not there and would not associate with them due to his arrogance.

He then subtly revealed that the Land of Tribulations was a place "neither in the Immortal World nor in the Demon World," giving them a clear hint. Realizing the urgency, Zhuo Hao vowed to return for another "lesson" but left to pursue Chong Zi before Luo Yinfan could get ahead.
