The drama tells the story of a human girl, Lu Ning, who infiltrates a game world to uncover the truth behind her father's murder five years ago. However, she discovers that she is actually the root cause of Ye Wuming's centuries of tragic existence— Hei Lian. Thus begins a tale of love and hate, and mutual redemption between the two.
