Du Ang confessed his feelings to Lu Qiyi. However, Lu Qiyi, who already harbored feelings for Fang Yan, dodged Du Ang's confession without giving a direct reply, using their familiarity as friends as an excuse. Du Ang, though disappointed, continued to pursue her playfully. Lu Qiyi then met with Xun, who praised her potential and offered to connect her with producers and recommend suitable roles.

Xun then revealed the real reason for their meeting: she needed Lu Qiyi’s help to convince her former teacher, Mr. Sun, to direct Xun’s new film, "Jujiu." Xun explained that directing this film had been Mr. Sun’s long-standing dream and that he held Lu Qiyi in high regard. Lu Qiyi agreed to help, but questioned how she could possibly convince him. Lu Qiyi sought her friends' help to convince Mr. Sun.

The friends decided to uncover Mr. Sun’s core reason for refusing, starting by speaking with Mr. Zhang, who was close to Mr. Sun. Hao Kaixin and Li Sanshang quickly made excuses to leave, subtly creating an opportunity for Du Ang and Lu Qiyi to be alone. Despite his visible discomfort, Fang Yan also excused himself, leaving Lu Qiyi with Du Ang.

Lu Qiyi and Du Ang then visited Mr. Zhang, who informed them that Mr. Sun was once a "rising star" in the directing world, achieving overnight fame with his debut film, "Half Awaken." Du Ang and Lu Qiyi wondered if Mr. Sun and Xun had a past romantic relationship, a suspicion Mr. Zhang also harbored, though he cautioned them against unfounded rumors.

Mr. Zhang also revealed that Mr. Sun had recently expressed no interest in Xun's offer, but suggested they might find a copy of "Half Awaken" in the school library. Later that night, Du Ang and Lu Qiyi decided to sneak into the school library after closing hours to find the film. Lu Qiyi was apprehensive, but Du Ang reassured her, promising to take responsibility if they were caught.

As they searched, Du Ang revisited his earlier confession, asking Lu Qiyi if she would date him. She firmly reiterated that their familiarity made a romantic relationship impossible, stating they were only friends. Frustrated, Du Ang expressed his strong feelings for her and jokingly tried to kiss her, but Lu Qiyi stopped him. They eventually found the CD for "Half Awaken" and managed to evade a seemingly drunk security guard by pretending to be studying.

Meanwhile, the "Little Target Drama Club" was facing a severe crisis. Members were either making excuses to skip activities or outright quitting, complaining about a lack of professional guidance beyond basic warm-ups. Fang Yan became enraged by their apathy, leading to heated arguments. Li Sanshang intervened, suggesting they hire an experienced instructor to professionalize the club and attract new members, citing the success of other campus clubs doing the same.

Fang Yan, still upset, reluctantly agreed to gather all members for a meeting. Subsequently, Li Sanshang and Hao Kaixin approached Bai Qiao for assistance in finding a suitable instructor, and Bai Qiao, eager to help Fang Yan, readily agreed. She introduced them to a contact named Ox, who boasted connections to top actors and directors.

However, when Hao Kaixin inquired about an instructor within their budget of 500 yuan per class, Ox scoffed, stating that his renowned instructors charged a minimum of 20,000 yuan for a 45-minute session, leading Hao Kaixin to believe he was a charlatan. Back at the university, Du Ang and Lu Qiyi set up equipment and arranged an impromptu movie appreciation class to screen "Half Awaken."

Du Ang lightheartedly mentioned his escapade in the library, claiming he talked his way out of trouble. After the film, the classmates were deeply moved and impressed, applauding Mr. Sun’s talent as a director. However, Mr. Sun himself appeared, furious. He demanded to know where they obtained the film, criticized them for watching movies instead of rehearsing, and summarily dismissed everyone, reaffirming his stance that he would not direct films anymore, believing that "time has changed" and "people change."

During their search for an instructor, Hao Kaixin, who was recovering from an injury caused by Li Sanshang and was being playfully pushed by him in a cart, spotted Xiaoyu at the school infirmary. She urged Li Sanshang to go and "clear things up" with Xiaoyu. However, Li Sanshang abruptly sped away, stating that "some people and some things, after the right time has passed, are no longer suitable."

Hao Kaixin was visibly delighted by his response, indicating a growing ambiguity in their own relationship. Believing that Lu Qiyi held feelings for Fang Yan, Du Ang challenged him to a basketball game in the pouring rain. Their intense game quickly devolved into a physical fight, with Du Ang seeking clarification on Fang Yan's relationship with Lu Qiyi. Fang Yan, however, unequivocally stated, "There's nothing between me and Lu Qiyi."

Reassured and relieved by this declaration, Du Ang’s spirits lifted, and he vowed to pursue Lu Qiyi with renewed and fierce determination. To help the struggling drama club, Lu Qiyi successfully persuaded Mr. Sun to become their new instructor, much to the surprise of Fang Yan and Li Sanshang. However, Fang Yan mistakenly believed that Bai Qiao was responsible for this, asking her how she managed it.

While they were talking, Bai Qiao adjusted Fang Yan's sleeve, a scene that Lu Qiyi witnessed as she arrived with a basket of fruit for the club. Heartbroken, Lu Qiyi quietly left, leaving the fruit behind. Back in her dorm, Lu Qiyi video-called her family to explain her decision to study performing arts, which they had recently discovered.

Her father expressed concerns about the instability of the entertainment industry and wished she had pursued a more conventional, stable career, while her grandmother offered immediate support. Lu Qiyi then bravely shared her lifelong passion for acting, recalling her joy on stage as a child, the sadness of being discouraged from performing during middle school, and the fear she felt after a dance injury.

She confessed to secretly applying to art school, emphasizing that at eighteen, she was determined to chase her dream, fearing she would regret it for the rest of her life if she didn't. Moved by her heartfelt explanation and unwavering resolve, her family finally gave her their blessings, urging her to strive for excellence. Feeling relieved and happy, Lu Qiyi twirled around her room and accidentally found a photo of Bai Qiao and Fang Yan, lying face down on her desk.
