> Resumos de My Destiny
After seeing off the dismissed Manager Tong, Fang Wanzhi returned to the office to face Ms. Yao. Acknowledging that her lack of experience regarding raw material price fluctuations led to a massive loss, Fang Wanzhi took full responsibility and offered to accept her own dismissal. However, Ms. Yao revealed that after reviewing the email Fang Wanzhi had sent to the President, the company realized the opponent had been exceptionally cunning and that internal management had its own flaws.
Impressed by her willingness to take initiative and her courage to lead, Ms. Yao informed her that both Hongtu Group and Mr. Yan were willing to give her a second chance. Relieved but still stinging from the betrayal she had experienced, Fang Wanzhi went for a run in the mountains to release her pent-up emotions. She vowed to remember this lesson and never be so easily deceived again.
Her commitment to the company soon paid off when Mr. Yan called her late one evening. He had been impressed by her suggestions for the company’s future business planning and the upcoming High-tech Fair. He invited her to a cafe to discuss the details, asking her to pitch her ideas to him as if he were the management board. Fang Wanzhi articulated a two-pronged strategy focusing on short-term gains and long-term technological advantages.
Her thorough explanation convinced the board of directors, including those who had previously opposed participating in the fair. Consequently, Fang Wanzhi was promoted to Vice President. Although she continued to fulfill her duties as the Assistant to the President, her salary was increased by two levels.
When she shared the news with Li Juan and Zhao Jun over a celebratory late-night snack, Li Juan teased her for referring to the President by his full name, Yan Ziwei, rather than his title. Li Juan sensed that Fang Wanzhi’s feelings for her boss were beginning to shift from professional respect to something more personal. Despite the promotion, Fang Wanzhi remained focused on the upcoming High-tech Fair, which turned out to be a massive success for Hongtu Trading.
The company secured four strategic agreements and orders exceeding 100 million yuan. As a reward, the company provided Fang Wanzhi with a bonus and a two-bedroom apartment in a prestigious community—the same one where Mr. Yan lived. Though she initially preferred staying with her friends, Fang Wanzhi changed her mind after realizing she might find Hao Qianqian there. She had previously spotted Hao Qianqian in that neighborhood with a man.
She took the keys from Ms. Yao and moved in, hoping to track her friend down. During a celebration at a street food stall with Li Juan and Gao Xiang, they were shocked to find Liu Zhu working as a cook. He revealed that he had traveled to Shenzhen five times over the past few years, desperate to find Hao Qianqian and bring her back to their son, Dahu.
He spoke bitterly of how she had fled after a domestic dispute, and his desperation had turned into a dark resolve to either take her home or end her life. Fang Wanzhi, concerned for everyone’s safety, promised to help him find her on the condition that he remain calm when they met. While living in her new apartment, Fang Wanzhi eventually spotted the man she had seen with Hao Qianqian.
She learned his name was Mr. Xu and discovered he was married. Using a clever approach, Fang Wanzhi befriended his wife, Mrs. Xu, under the guise of admiring her flowers. This pressure forced Mr. Xu to have Hao Qianqian contact Fang Wanzhi. When Hao Qianqian finally called, Fang Wanzhi demanded they meet that Sunday at their old residence. On the appointed day, Hao Qianqian arrived in a luxury car, carrying expensive liquor and acting as though nothing had changed.
Fang Wanzhi had also arranged for Liu Zhu to be there, though she urged him to stay quiet while the sisters spoke. Hao Qianqian defended her disappearance, revealing the misery of her life in the village. She explained that she had never legally married Liu Zhu and was treated poorly by his family, who only valued her for her ability to produce a son.
She refused to be trapped in that "valley" forever and handed Liu Zhu a large sum of money as child support for Dahu, declaring their relationship over. The situation turned violent when Liu Zhu, consumed by rage and rejection, pulled out a knife to attack Hao Qianqian. Fang Wanzhi instinctively stepped in front of her friend to protect her.
Just then, Gao Xiang arrived with a man named Li Yudan, who stepped in and grabbed the blade with his bare hand to stop the attack. Li Yudan, a fellow native of Yu County who had become a successful executive under Gao Xiang's mentorship, ignored his bleeding hand to de-escalate the situation.
Li Yudan managed to calm Liu Zhu down, convincing him to go to the hospital by pointing out that since Liu Zhu had caused the injury, he was responsible for the medical bills. This tactic safely removed Liu Zhu from the scene. Later, as Fang Wanzhi tended to his wound, Li Yudan joked about whether Gao Xiang might one day become his brother-in-law.
He then shared his own happy news, revealing that he had brought his girlfriend to Shenzhen and wanted Fang Wanzhi, whom he considered his elder sister, to meet and approve of her.
