Tong Tong deliberately kept Song Zihao's awakening a secret from the hospital. She then went to Song Zihao and began to manipulate him, telling him that Du Guruonan had already started promoting Sida and was preparing to replace Song Zihao. Song Zihao initially defended Du Guruonan, stating the car accident wasn't her fault and that he would personally explain everything to the company after his discharge.

He even believed he heard Du Guruonan's nagging while in a coma, thinking she was watching over him. However, Tong Tong swiftly dismissed his beliefs as hallucinations, asserting that Du Guruonan would never visit him and had long forgotten him, as he had lost all usefulness in her eyes.

Tong Tong then handed him a magazine featuring Sida on the cover, reinforcing her claim that Sida had taken his place while he was in a coma and that Du Guruonan had abandoned him. Believing her, Song Zihao's mood soured, and Tong Tong vowed to help him reclaim everything. When Song Zihao asked her why she was doing this, Tong Tong simply replied, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." Meanwhile, President Wu met with Du Guruonan.

He informed her that his company, after internal discussions, wanted to replace Song Zihao as the advertising spokesperson due to his continuous hospitalization and lack of exposure. President Wu, who admired Du Guruonan's work ethic, suggested she replace Song Zihao with another artist, specifically mentioning Sida, who was very popular in the fashion world. Du Guruonan expressed concern about the negative impact on Sida and her company if Sida replaced his senior, Song Zihao, while he was still hospitalized.

She asked for some time to consider the offer. President Wu called her intelligent and believed she could weigh the pros and cons wisely. Unbeknownst to Du Guruonan, Tong Tong learned about the meeting from a colleague and, without Du Guruonan's consent, instructed the colleague to inform President Wu that the company agreed to the replacement and to send over the contract.

Tong Tong then took the replacement contract to Song Zihao, falsely claiming Du Guruonan had personally demanded Sida be the new spokesperson, further fueling his anger by stating Du Guruonan had abandoned him for profit. Enraged, Song Zihao declared his desire for immediate discharge and vowed to take back everything that belonged to him. Du Guruonan, still indecisive about the contract, sought Ji Mo's professional opinion.

She explained her difficult choice regarding the advertiser's request to replace Song Zihao with Sida, expressing her reluctance and guilt over replacing Song Zihao, who had worked so hard for his position. Ji Mo, however, accused her of only considering Song Zihao's unfairness while ignoring Sida's feelings. He suggested she was merely trying to escape the inevitable and prolong Song Zihao's elimination to ease her own conscience, pointing out that the advertisers would replace him regardless.

Ji Mo analyzed her guilt as a "compensatory psychological mechanism," calling her emotional approach irrational and meaningless, as it only added to her psychological burden. He reminded her that Song Zihao's current success was due to her, and his choices were ultimately his own responsibility. Ji Mo advised her to let go of the past and "cherish those present now."

Du Guruonan retorted, suggesting Ji Mo also struggled to let go, mentioning his ex-girlfriend and his attachment to the house for her. This immediately changed Ji Mo's demeanor. He angrily warned her not to mention it again, threatening to make her move out. He then retreated to his room. A flashback revealed Ji Mo's past heartbreak. He rushed to Su Xiao's apartment after receiving a breakup message, only to find her with another man, Zhao Yucheng.

Su Xiao confirmed she was leaving him, citing exhaustion and his singular focus on patients, never her. She accused him of not knowing how to love her and told him to stop bothering her. The next morning, Du Guruonan, regretting her words from the previous night, prepared breakfast as an olive branch.

She apologized, but Ji Mo remained cold, rejecting her apology and reminding her of their co-habitation agreement: "mutual non-interference with each other's privacy and lives," emphasizing their relationship was "merely roommates," and she shouldn't "cross the line." Du Guruonan argued that his attitude was unwarranted after her apology and that his own arguments about Song Zihao had provoked her comments.

Ji Mo conceded that he "crossed the line" and stated they should maintain their distance, promising not to interfere in her matters again. Feeling annoyed by his arrogance, Du Guruonan grumbled to herself, wondering if he was truly more handsome than Takeshi Kaneshiro to be so haughty. At the hospital, Song Zihao pushed for an immediate discharge, keen to confront Du Guruonan, as he feared losing all popularity and exposure if he stayed.

Tong Tong vehemently opposed this, calling Du Guruonan a "pathological liar" who would deny everything and "strike first" if she knew he was awake. Just then, Tong Tong spotted Du Guruonan approaching the hospital ward and quickly urged Song Zihao to pretend to be unconscious. Du Guruonan had already discovered Tong Tong's deception when President Wu called about the signed contract. She confronted Tong Tong at the hospital, accusing her of falsely agreeing to the replacement.

Tong Tong denied it, demanding proof. Du Guruonan warned Tong Tong not to cross her "bottom line" again, or she would "make her regret it," implying Tong Tong's own character flaws with the saying, "With filth in heart, all appear foul." Tong Tong, unfazed, continued her mind games, claiming Song Zihao would never wake up and advising Du Guruonan to focus on Sida. Ignoring her, Du Guruonan entered Song Zihao's room.

Unaware that Song Zihao was now conscious, she spoke to him, intending to provoke him into waking up. She informed him about the advertisers wanting Sida to replace him, emphasized the diminishing chances for his comeback, and the ruthless reality of the industry. She challenged him to "wake up" and confront her if he disliked her decisions, calling him a "worthless loser" for lying there. Song Zihao, feigning unconsciousness, heard every word, which only deepened his resentment.

Later, Tong Tong returned to Song Zihao's room and was startled to find him sitting up. She immediately assumed he had spoken with Du Guruonan and might have forgiven her. However, Song Zihao quickly dispelled her fears, declaring he would "never forgive her" and that he and Du Guruonan were "irreconcilable enemies."

He demanded immediate discharge and formally agreed to cooperate with Tong Tong, vowing to "crush Dugu Ruonan and that Sida beneath my feet" and make Du Guruonan regret everything she had done. Meanwhile, Chen Fei'er continued to relentlessly pursue Ji Mo with various date invitations. Ji Mo, however, gently rebuffed her, stating he had personal matters to attend to. Unfazed, Chen Fei'er insisted on accompanying him to see who was more important than her.

Ji Mo eventually took her to meet his senior, Ai Li, a psychologist. Ai Li, recognizing Chen Fei'er, was an enthusiastic fan, praising her as even prettier in person than in her commercials. Chen Fei'er, attempting to gain an advantage, flirted back and jokingly introduced herself as Ji Mo's "future girlfriend," though Ai Li knew their professional relationship. While Ji Mo was in the restroom, he saw a video on his phone.

It showed Song Zihao publicly apologizing for his past conduct and officially announcing that he had replaced Du Guruonan with Tong Tong as his new agent. Ji Mo became increasingly annoyed watching the video and impulsively replied to criticize those senseless haters online. Soon after, realizing his actions were childish, he ended his online activity.

Back at the table, as Ai Li casually mentioned Ji Mo was a "neat freak," Chen Fei'er tried to get Ji Mo to join them for a movie, but he abruptly walked out. Distraught by Ji Mo's sudden departure, Chen Fei'er threw a tantrum. Ai Li, recognizing her distress, took her to a barbecue restaurant.

He deliberately ate heartily in front of her, and though Chen Fei'er initially pretended to be calm, she eventually succumbed to temptation and ate enthusiastically, only to later induce vomiting in the restroom. Ai Li, a psychologist, immediately diagnosed her with anorexia or bulimia due to her pathological psychological state, causing a nervous conditional reflex in her body.

He warned her that this mental illness could jeopardize her life and gave her his business card, urging her to seek psychological consultation at his hospital for any psychological issues. Sida also saw the video and realized Song Zihao was awake. He grew concerned, noting the external rumors about Du Guruonan's culpability for Song Zihao's accident would now be confirmed by the agent change. Worried, Sida went to Du Guruonan's apartment but found her phone off and no one home.

Ji Mo, genuinely concerned for Du Guruonan, met up with her. He skillfully analyzed Tong Tong's behavior in the video (her frequent blinking while announcing Song Zihao's condition, and her smug smirk when he named her as his new agent), deducing that Tong Tong had orchestrated everything. Du Guruonan, realizing Tong Tong was behind blocking her hospital visits and notifications, found newfound trust in Ji Mo.

She questioned why he knew so much and had come to pick her up, to which he simply replied he was "just passing by." Seeing her distress, Ji Mo advised her to retreat from the public eye, avoid media, and take a break. He offered to accompany her. As they drove, Du Guruonan thanked him for helping to lift her spirits. Ji Mo jokingly asked how she would repay him, hinting at selling him her house.

She refused and then playfully questioned his obsession with the house, asking if it was for his ex-girlfriend. Suddenly, the car ran out of gas, leaving them stranded in a desolate area. Ji Mo suggested they find a place to stay for the night. They found a small hotel, but to their dismay, there was only one room available. Du Guruonan tried to persuade the hotel clerk to find another room, insisting they couldn't share.

The clerk, however, made suggestive comments, implying they were just pretending, and told them to take it or leave it. Ji Mo accepted the room. Inside, he continued to tease Du Guruonan, questioning her comfort in sharing a room with him, a man, despite their cohabitation contract. He pointed out her nervous body language, showing her internal resistance.

When he further teased her by closing the gap between them, suggesting he might "abandon the contract," she panicked and threatened to scream. He then playfully mocked her for closing her eyes, asking what she was fantasizing about, to which she insisted her eyes were just tired. Ji Mo then told her to take a shower to avoid catching a cold.

Alone in the bathroom, Du Guruonan mentally fretted about the awkwardness and potential "danger" of sharing a room with him while both were sober, contrasting it with previous shared beds under less conscious circumstances. Ji Mo overheard her talking to herself and called her "crazy."

She called down to reception, asking for an extra blanket, a sheet, and a hairdryer, but the hotel staff could only provide a sheet and an electric fan, stating no extra blankets or hairdryers were available. Ji Mo then offered Du Guruonan his own dry shirt to change into, despite having no replacement for himself. After her shower, Du Guruonan found herself surprisingly comforted by the "neat freak's" scent on his shirt, realizing he was "quite considerate."
