Sinopse
The young girl Xiu Ju came from a poor family—her mother was bedridden with illness, and her elder brother and sister-in-law oppressed her relentlessly. Despite her hardships, she was clever and skillful. Every morning, she would go near the schoolhouse, selling small trinkets to earn money for her mother’s medicine while secretly listening to the lessons. There, she met the forthright and sincere Sixth Master of the Shen family, Shen Yanzhou, and the two developed feelings for each other.
