Elegy of Zhaoli is a historical romance drama co-directed by Liu Chuan and Zhang Xiaoyou, starring Lu Dongxu, Fu Yaning.
The drama centers on Jiang Li, daughter of the current Grand Tutor, who accepts an arranged marriage bestowed by the Empress Dowager to reclaim her mother's ancestral property, forcing her into a marriage with General Gou Simo.
While managing business affairs, Jiang Li encounters Emperor Xie Jiuzhao under his alias "A Zhao." Their entanglement in political schemes gradually sparks mutual affection. Sinopse
Jiang Li, the daughter of the current Grand Tutor, secretly engaged in business behind her father's back and encountered a handsome man named A Zhao during this time.
However, an imperial decree from the Empress Dowager bound her to the current Grand General as his betrothed.
