> Resumos de About Love
Gong’s parents arrive at his apartment unannounced several days early for their scheduled physical examinations. His mother explains that his father simply couldn’t stay still at home, but the atmosphere quickly sours when Gong mentions he broke up with Yu He a long time ago. His father is incensed, refusing to believe Gong would let go of such a stable, well-educated woman with a respectable government job.
He berates Gong for living like an unemployed drifter, drawing "messy" comics that they are ashamed to describe to their relatives. Gong defends his career and his freedom, arguing that marriage often leads to nothing but the constant fighting he witnessed between his parents. The argument peaks when his father threatens that if Gong doesn’t bring a proper girlfriend home, he isn't welcome for the Lunar New Year.
Gong stubbornly retorts that he would prefer the peace and quiet of staying away, leaving his mother to chase after his fuming father. At the photography studio, the staff is buzzing with idle gossip about Ming Ming, calling her a home-wrecker and wondering how long she has been the "other woman." The tension escalates when a customer demands a full refund, claiming that having a wedding shoot handled by a mistress is a jinx.
Ming Ming maintains her composure and authorizes the refund immediately. Sen arrives shortly after, deeply concerned by the rumors and suggesting they close the shop temporarily until the scandal blows over. However, Ming Ming refuses, pointing out that they cannot afford to stop working, especially since they still owe Xiao Bei money. She assures Sen she can handle the pressure, though she asks if he finds her presence embarrassing.
Sen quickly denies this, telling her to let him know immediately if anyone causes more trouble. Yingtao confides in Li Xiaoxi about her deepening insecurities regarding Zeyan. While her rational mind knows that Zeyan’s ex-girlfriend is merely trying to stir up trouble, her emotions are compromised by the scars of her previous marriage. She admits to feeling like a self-proclaimed clown, even coming close to trying to "catch him in the act" when he didn't respond to a text.
Li Xiaoxi listens patiently, preparing for her final consultation with Dr. Lin. She expresses her intent to be completely transparent with Xiao Bei once the therapy concludes, though she wonders if Xiao Bei is keeping secrets of his own. During their session, Dr. Lin proposes hypnotherapy to help Li Xiaoxi explore her subconscious. He explains that while she might think she has moved past certain pains, the subconscious preserves those struggles, and they often resurface to dictate her current behavior.
Li Xiaoxi agrees to the treatment. As she enters a light trance, she revisits a childhood memory of her father holding another little girl. The session is abruptly interrupted by her phone; Xiao Bei is calling to inform her that her father has arrived and wants to meet him. Dr. Lin apologizes for the oversight of not silencing the phone and suggests they continue the deep-dive therapy the following day.
Xiao Bei takes Li Xiaoxi’s father, Mr. Li, out for a meal, desperately trying to find common ground. He awkwardly cycles through topics like the Premier League, Manchester City, and Cristiano Ronaldo, before pivoting to mutual funds and Warren Buffett. Sensing the young man’s nerves, Mr. Li keeps the conversation grounded. Xiao Bei eventually opens up about his own life, sharing that his parents divorced when he was young and that he was raised by his grandparents.
He explains that his grandmother taught him the importance of cherishing those he loves, promising Mr. Li that he will provide Li Xiaoxi with the stable, complete home he never had. Touched by his sincerity, Mr. Li shows Xiao Bei the dragon and phoenix wood carvings he is working on, promising to finish them as a wedding gift.
Later that night, Xiao Bei tells Li Xiaoxi how much he liked her father and expresses his desire to get their marriage license as soon as possible. Yu and Xiu meet to discuss the final details of their divorce. Yu explains that due to new regulations, they must observe a thirty-day cooling-off period before the split is finalized. She offers him their new car to help maintain his image now that he has signed an agency contract, but Xiu declines.
He has revised the agreement to ensure Yu keeps the house, noting that his parents provided the down payment and he doesn't want to take it from her. He also chooses to keep his old car, which he is more comfortable driving. The most significant point of contention is their dog; Xiu insists on keeping it, arguing that Yu is too busy and the dog would be miserable in a cage at a pet shop.
Despite his past reputation for being irresponsible, he asks Yu to trust him one last time to figure out a way to care for the animal even while he is on tour. The next day, Li Xiaoxi returns to Dr. Lin for her final session. She reflects on how her doubts have shaped her view of the world, admitting that Dr. Lin’s assessment of her subconscious pressure was correct.
Dr. Lin praises her for being one of the few patients brave enough to face her own issues rather than resisting the truth. As they prepare to part ways, Li Xiaoxi requests a goodbye hug, which Dr. Lin grants. However, the atmosphere shifts when Li Xiaoxi reveals she was sent there by "Mu" to test his professional and personal boundaries. Dr. Lin is genuinely baffled, stating he has no idea who Mu is.
He shows Li Xiaoxi a photo of the person he actually loves, and she realizes the woman in the picture is not Mu at all. Realizing she has been a pawn in someone else's game, Li Xiaoxi makes a voice call to Guan. She demands to know what Guan was trying to accomplish by orchestrating the ruse involving Mu and the "pity act." Guan admits with a sense of detached amusement that her curiosity simply got the better of her. She wanted to see how a "perfect boyfriend" like Xiao Bei would react and handle the chaos when placed in such an impossible situation.
