Tong Xiaole, however, finds the sentiment amusing and teases her by saying her playing sounded terrible when they were children, earning himself another firm lecture. The sound of a cello nearby catches Yi Lan’s attention, filling her with envy.
Surrounded by such a beautiful landscape, she longs to play but is frustrated that she didn't bring her own instrument. Knowing that a cello is a precious personal item rarely lent to strangers, she hesitates. Seeing the longing in her eyes, Tong Xiaole takes the initiative to approach the musician on her behalf. To Yi Lan’s surprise, the performer graciously agrees, and she confidently chooses to play the "Concerto for Two Cellos."
Meanwhile, Luo Ningzi returns home to her mother’s high expectations. Her mother reminds her that simply being "okay" isn't enough; she must be the best to be remembered. As Luo Ningzi heads to her room, she accidentally overhears her parents discussing their company’s bankruptcy and heavy debts. Despite their financial ruin, her father is determined to protect her future, vowing to secure the tuition needed for her to attend the world's best music conservatory.
Later, Qiao Mengmeng shares a video of Yi Lan’s performance in their group chat. Seeing the video, Luo Ningzi calls Yi Lan. Although she tries to hide her distress, Yi Lan notices her voice sounds strange. When Luo Ningzi asks how to handle a massive setback, Yi Lan offers a comforting perspective, explaining that being pushed to the brink is often fate’s way of preparing someone for a great gift.
Touched, the two girls make a pact to never give up on their passion and to one day stand together in the highest music temple. As evening falls, Chen Fan hosts a barbecue outside the villa. The girls are stunned by the sheer size of the estate, which spans thousands of square meters and features its own elevator and pool.
As Chen Fan struggles with the grill, Tong Xiaole jokingly calls him a "walking greaseball" for his smooth talk but questions his actual cooking skills. Eventually, they enjoy a meal that includes mushrooms gathered from the hill behind the house. Tong Xiaole recalls his father teaching him how to identify edible plants and assures everyone they are safe. The festivities are cut short by a sudden downpour, forcing the group to retreat inside.
While seeking a charger, Yi Lan discovers Tong Xiaole’s camera is filled with photos of her. He quickly snatches it back, claiming he just hasn't picked a profile picture yet. Suddenly, a massive thunderclap coincides with a total power outage. Terrified by the darkness, Qiao Mengmeng and Yi Lan both cling to Tong Xiaole’s arms for safety. The group cautiously navigates the dark house and bumps into Chen Fan.
Despite being in his own home, Chen Fan is the most frightened of them all, screaming in terror after mistaking a face-shaped sofa for a ghost. Just as they try to calm down, a knock at the door sends them into another panic. They eventually push Tong Xiaole forward to open it. A figure in a black raincoat stands outside, and Tong Xiaole instinctively delivers a flurry of blows.
The intruder yells out that he is Zhao Zhenghao, and Qiao Mengmeng quickly intervenes, explaining she had invited him to help clear up past misunderstandings. Tong Xiaole sheepishly blames his "muscle memory" from childhood training at the Shaolin Temple. Once the power returns, they huddle together to warm up. Since the barbecue was ruined, Zhao Zhenghao saves the night by sharing the snacks he brought. The next morning, Chen Fan's mother arrives to provide breakfast for the group.
Afterward, Yi Lan and Tong Xiaole take a walk. Sensing that Tong Xiaole is in a low mood, Yi Lan points out a rainbow and gives him a piece of milk candy, telling him to make a wish. Back at home, Yi Lan’s father expresses concern over her catching a cold and tells her to call him immediately if she ever needs protection. Later, noticing Tong Xiaole has nothing to eat, Yi Lan knocks on his door with a delicious meal of braised chicken and food she prepared specifically for him.
