Resumen del episodio 1
Twenty years ago, the Four Murderers terrorized the capital with their cruel methods and profound martial arts, committing heinous crimes against honest officials and ordinary citizens alike. It was Lord Zhuge Zhengwo of the Shenhou Mansion who ultimately subdued them with his formidable "stunning spear" technique and imprisoned them in the supposedly impregnable Tianshan Dungeon. Sixteen years later, the Four Murderers managed to break free from their confinement, driven by a desire for revenge.
An Shigeng, who had been observing the capital for these sixteen years, orchestrated their escape and prepared for a confrontation with the Four Famous Constables, who had been trained by Zhuge Zhengwo. The Four Murderers were eager to settle scores with the Famous Constables and their mentor. A fierce battle erupted between the Four Famous Constables and the Four Murderers. During the intense fight, Leng Xie, one of the Famous Constables, faced Yan Zhao, a prominent member of the murderers.
Leng Xie was subjected to freezing ice, but instead of being defeated, he used the extreme cold to successfully cultivate his "Sirius Shifting Hand" technique, which he previously couldn't master due to his inherently hot blood. As the Four Famous Constables were in the process of apprehending the Four Murderers at daybreak, officials from the Six Doors, led by Commander Han and accompanied by Yu Chuntong, arrived on the scene.
They immediately moved to take custody of the captured criminals, including Tu Wan. The Six Doors asserted their jurisdiction over the capital, presenting an imperial token as proof of their authority. Yu Chuntong's arrogant demeanor further fueled the Famous Constables' resentment. Zhuiming and Tie Shou, among others, openly expressed their frustration, accusing the Six Doors of consistently arriving late to claim credit and abusing the imperial token. They defiantly refused to hand over the prisoners.
However, at that moment, urgent news arrived: four high-ranking government ministers and their entire households had been brutally massacred during the night. Lord Zhuge Zhengwo had ordered the Four Famous Constables to investigate the crime scenes immediately.
Recognizing this as a deliberate "lure the tiger away from the mountain" tactic orchestrated by an unknown mastermind—the Four Murderers having been used to distract the Shenhou Mansion and Six Doors while their puppet master attacked the officials—the Famous Constables had no choice but to abandon the captured murderers and split up to investigate. At one of the murder sites, the Famous Constables carefully examined the scene.
They noted that the victims had multiple non-fatal injuries and leg fractures consistent with falls after death. The fatal wounds were to the neck, yet curiously, there were no external marks. This suggested an extremely efficient killer who could dispatch many victims in the shortest time, using a peculiar method—perhaps with just two fingers or a light object—requiring minimal force and leaving no obvious traces for a superficial inspection. Adding to the mystery, the bodies of the victims were missing.
While some citizens whispered about demonic activity, Leng Xie dismissed such superstitions, firmly believing that human hands were responsible for the atrocities. Ji Yaohua, a female constable from the Shenhou Mansion, returned to report their findings to Lord Zhuge. Meanwhile, Chu Yingxue, a spirited young woman, tried desperately to avoid being selected as a royal concubine. Despite her attempts to escape, she was apprehended and brought back to her family home.
Her father, fearing the consequences of defying an imperial decree, pleaded with her on his knees, explaining that refusal would lead to the execution of their entire family. Chu Yingxue, however, was resolute, threatening suicide rather than marrying the Emperor, whom she considered old enough to be her grandfather. Her stepmother suggested a drastic measure. Unable to sway her, her father reluctantly had a sedative mixed into a cup of tea, which Chu Yingxue drank, causing her to fall unconscious.
She was then delivered to the imperial officials for transport to the palace. Chu Yingxue woke up inside a carriage, surrounded by other young women who shared her unwilling fate as concubine candidates. While another girl attempted to comfort a crying girl, Chu Yingxue grimly outlined the bleak realities of palace life: the dangers of jealousy if favored by the Emperor, or a lifetime of loneliness if not, always separated from family.
Soon after, another showgirl, He Xiaoyu, who had attempted to escape, was recaptured by the escorting officials. He Xiaoyu tearfully confided in Chu Yingxue that she was in love with a Mr. Zhang and had pledged her life to him, unable to abandon him, especially as he had fallen ill due to their separation. Chu Yingxue revealed her own predicament, having been drugged by her stepmother and forced into the carriage.
Recognizing their shared desire for freedom, Chu Yingxue quickly began formulating an escape plan. That evening, while lodged at an inn, Chu Yingxue generously offered to pay for all the food and wine for the escorting officials and her fellow showgirls. She and the other girls then entertained the guards with song and dance. Chu Yingxue personally served the commander, expressing her sorrow at her impending royal fate and flattering his imposing presence, successfully coaxing him into drinking more.
Unbeknownst to the guards, the drinks were laced with a powerful sedative. Once all the officials had fallen unconscious, Chu Yingxue quickly rallied the other showgirls, and they successfully made their escape from the inn. Back at the Six Doors prison, female constable Ji Yaohua and her constables arrived to investigate. A mysterious red smoke filled the prison cells. Once the smoke cleared, the guards were found dead, and the Four Murderers had vanished.
It was later revealed that Yu Chuntong, a constable from the Six Doors, had, in fact, aided the Four Murderers in their escape and brought them to An Shigeng. An Shigeng promptly presented the Four Murderers with poisoned tea, effectively ensuring their continued obedience, as they would require regular antidotes from him to survive.
An Shigeng also revealed to his subordinate, the Nine-tailed Fox, that she had more important tasks to fulfill after successfully executing his previous orders, such as the murder of the four ministers.
Resumen del episodio 2
The capital was in turmoil following the brutal murders of several high-ranking officials. Members of the Shenhou Mansion investigated the crime scenes, noting the lack of external wounds on the victims and piecing together that the attacks occurred simultaneously with the Four Famous Constables' confrontations against the Four Murderers. The Four Murderers—Yan Zhao, Tu Wan, Tang Chou, and Zhao Hao—were notorious criminals whom the Shenhou Mansion's chief had apprehended two decades prior, imprisoning them in the Tianshan dungeon.
The consensus was that someone of extraordinary ability must have released them to create a diversion, allowing the true mastermind to commit the murders. The Shenhou Mansion agents, including female detective Ji Yaohua, were frustrated by the lack of clues and the sophisticated methods of the culprit. As the Shenhou Mansion continued its investigation, its agents, led by Ji Yaohua, arrived at the Six Doors headquarters, intending to interrogate the Four Murderers.
However, they were met with resistance from Six Doors constables and their commander, Han Long. Han Long arrogantly refused their entry, forcing Ji Yaohua to present an imperial token, a direct order from the Emperor to grant Shenhou Mansion full authority in investigating the assassinations. Han Long, though disgruntled, had no choice but to comply. Despite the Shenhou Mansion's efforts, the Four Murderers were gone.
That night, a mysterious red smoke filled their cells in the Six Doors dungeon, causing the guards to perish. Ji Yaohua discovered the empty cells, realizing that the Four Murderers had escaped. It was later revealed that Yu Chun Tong, a constable from Six Doors, had orchestrated their escape. He brought the Four Murderers to the true mastermind, a prince named An Shigeng, who had a grand plan to seize the Ming Dynasty.
An Shigeng tested their loyalty by offering a dagger for them to fight to the death, but the siblings chose to die together. Impressed by their camaraderie, An Shigeng spared them but then revealed that their tea was laced with a "Corpse Soul Pill," ensuring their obedience as only he possessed the antidote.
He then tasked Yu Chun Tong with a new mission: to find a "Wolf Clan Prince" who was believed to still be alive and residing in the capital. Back at Shenhou Mansion, the Four Famous Constables discussed the escalating chaos in the capital and the elusive mastermind. Just as they were about to pursue new leads in the Shangshu murder case, Eunuch Zhang arrived with an urgent imperial decree.
To their dismay, the Emperor ordered them to abandon their current investigation and immediately track down a group of showgirls who had escaped from Huzhou, fearing severe punishment if they failed. Among the escaped showgirls was Chu Yingxue, who did not wish to become a royal concubine. Her father had tricked her into drinking drugged tea, causing her to faint so he could hand her over to imperial officers. She later escaped with another girl, He Xiaoyu.
Fleeing through the night, Chu Yingxue eventually sought refuge at her cousin's house, a poor scholar. While there, she mysteriously discovered she could hear his thoughts, realizing his initial kindness was a facade. He was planning to betray her to the authorities for a fifty-tael reward to escape his poverty and shame. Heartbroken by his betrayal, Chu Yingxue fled his house. Despondent, Chu Yingxue wandered to a cliff, contemplating suicide.
She soon decided against it, vowing to live, but was startled by the sudden appearance of Leng Xue, one of the Four Famous Constables. Startled, she accidentally fell into a deep pit. Leng Xue held onto her, interrogating her about her identity. After confirming she was the runaway showgirl Chu Yingxue, he reluctantly pulled her out, reminding her that he was merely fulfilling his duty. She tried to appeal to his humanity, even resorting to insults, but he remained unyielding.
Later, as they continued their journey, Chu Yingxue pretended to have lost a jade pendant—which she falsely claimed was an imperial token—in another animal trap. Leng Xue, believing her, jumped into the pit to retrieve it. Seizing the opportunity, Chu Yingxue attempted to activate the trap to ensnare him, but Leng Xue's three companions—Zhui Ming, Wu Qing, and Tie Shou—arrived in time to subdue her. Chu Yingxue was then bound and forced to follow Leng Xue's horse toward the capital.
Her captors, seeing her suffering, persuaded Leng Xue to purchase a pig cart to transport her more humanely. Upon reaching the capital, they lodged at an inn. Chu Yingxue, still defiant, threw a tantrum and threatened to hang herself in her room. The other constables, moved by her desperation, rushed in and saved her. They debated her fate, with Zhui Ming, Wu Qing, and Tie Shou arguing for compassion and initially suggesting sending her to a brothel.
Chu Yingxue refused to become a courtesan, and after further discussion, Leng Xue, initially steadfast in his duty, eventually relented. The Four Famous Constables decided to arrange for her to live safely in the Shenhou Mansion as a maid, keeping her identity a secret and allowing her to avoid execution. Recognizing her plight, he allowed her to shed her past identity. In that moment, Chu Yingxue, remembering her mother's words, chose a new name for herself: Chu Limo. Leng Xue sternly warned her to remain discreet and live under her new name.
Resumen del episodio 3
Having refused to enter the palace as a concubine, Chu Yingxue traveled with the Four Famous Constables towards Shenhou Mansion. Along the way, she feigned exhaustion and tried to trick Lengxue by questioning their direction and accusing him of personal revenge, leading to her being called a "cold-blooded animal." Zhui Ming and Tie Shou, recalling her earlier cunning in trapping Lengxue, insisted she continue on foot.
Later, Wúqíng offered her food, which she found distasteful, and she was then placed in a cloth bag for transport, which she loudly complained about, referring to the innkeeper and the Four Famous Constables as worse than pigs. During their journey, they passed by carts carrying other show girls, destined either for guard duty at Zhaoling tomb or for execution due to illicit affairs.
The sight moved Wúqíng and Tie Shou, who felt deeply for these unfortunate women, especially when they considered Chu Yingxue's own dire fate. Lengxue, however, staunchly maintained that their duty was to uphold the law, and her personal outcome was irrelevant. Overhearing these discussions, Chu Yingxue became increasingly desperate, vowing to escape. Zhui Ming jokingly suggested sending her to the Chunhua Building, a brothel, which terrified her further.
Eventually, the Four Famous Constables decided their best course of action was to hide her in Shenhou Mansion as a maid, provided she adopted a new identity. Lengxue instructed Chu Yingxue to forget her old name and choose one that would allow her to survive. A flashback showed her mother teaching her a verse, "Mo Shang grass is lush, will old friends return or not?" From this, she chose the name Chu Limo.
To smuggle her into Shenhou Mansion, they placed her inside the cloth bag. At the entrance, guards stopped them, demanding inspection due to recent unrest in the capital. Zhui Ming cleverly claimed the bag contained "Gui Jianchou," a notorious thief who practiced "yin-yang art," becoming male by day and female by night. Chu Limo, from inside the bag, played along with a feminine voice, convincing the guards to let them pass.
Zhui Ming later jokingly informed Chu Limo that the bag was typically used as a "corpse bag" for transporting bodies. Once inside, the Four Famous Constables discussed the challenge of settling Chu Limo as a maid under Liu Chunping, the formidable maid manager. Tie Shou proposed a "beauty trick," leveraging Liu Chunping's known affections for Wúqíng and Lengxue. Wúqíng was chosen for the task.
Initially, Liu Chunping was dismissive of Zhui Ming's request, calling him a playboy and questioning the girl's background. However, when Wúqíng intervened, addressing her respectfully as "Sister Chunping" and explaining that Chu Limo was an orphaned servant's daughter from his hometown, Liu Chunping was visibly flattered and quickly agreed to take Chu Limo in.
Later, Zhui Ming teased Wúqíng about his encounter with Liu Chunping, but Wúqíng denied anything intimate occurred, and Zhui Ming remarked that Wúqíng "has someone else in his heart." Meanwhile, the Four Famous Constables reported Chu Yingxue's supposed death by falling off a cliff, presenting her Xiupai as proof to Zhuge Zhengwo, who took responsibility for the incident.
Zhuge then revealed that while they were away, a major incident had occurred: all prisoners in the capital's jails, including the high-security sky jail, had vanished overnight without a trace. Despite vigilant watch by jailers and investigations by Six Doors, no clues were found, leading Commander Han Long to attribute it to divine punishment. Tie Shou dismissed the sorcery theory, citing historical texts about advanced illusions.
He deduced that someone with such capabilities and the power to command martial arts masters must harbor rebellious ambitions. Zhuge Zhengwo suspected An Shigeng, whose white hair was a stark reminder of his profound grief over his beloved Diewu. Diewu, who worked as a courtesan, had died, prompting An Shigeng to withdraw from public life in self-imposed confinement. Zhuge decided to seek a meeting with An Shigeng.
Alone in her new quarters at Shenhou Mansion, Chu Limo yearned for her mother, lamenting her current state as a maid with no escape. In a flashback, Lengxue visited Yaohua, inquiring about her health. Yaohua expressed a feeling of growing distance between them, which Lengxue attributed to their maturity.
She reminded him of an injury he sustained three years prior and, fearing she might not recover to practice swordsmanship with him again, conveyed her deepest wish for his safety, reaffirming her unwavering affection for him. Lengxue reassured her and gave her a wolf tooth pendant amulet for protection. Yaohua felt the amulet was returning to its rightful owner, but Lengxue insisted she keep it. Yaohua expressed happiness that they were "back to the way they were."
Later, a servant delivered an invitation to An Shigeng from Zhuge Zhengwo of Shenhou Mansion for a banquet the next day. An Shigeng, noting the sixteen years that had passed, anticipated meeting Zhuge Zhengwo again, while mournfully reflecting on his lost love, Diewu, through a melancholic song.
Resumen del episodio 4
Prior to this, Chu Limo was brought into Shenhou Mansion by the Four Famous Trappers, hidden inside a cloth bag and passed off as a cunning criminal to deceive the guards. After a rigorous selection process orchestrated by supervisor Chunping, Chu Limo was formally accepted as a maid. During the selection, Chunping confiscated Chu Limo's treasured jade pendant, a gift from her mother, but Zhui Ming intervened on Chu Limo's behalf, though Chunping held firm.
Chunping later assigned Chu Limo and Ye Zi to work in Wu Qing's room. Zhui Ming then led Chu Limo and the other newly selected maids on a tour of Shenhou Mansion, including the private residences of the famous trappers. Meanwhile, the capital was gripped by fear as a series of mysterious murders continued. The Nine-tailed fox infiltrated the Grand Tutor's mansion and killed him. The next day, Six Doors arrived first at the crime scene.
The Four Famous Trappers followed, and after some deliberation, Han Tong Ling agreed to let them participate in the investigation. They examined the Grand Tutor's body, noting a bite mark on his neck that resembled an animal's attack and mysteriously vanished almost instantly. When some speculated that Tu Wan, one of the Four Murderers, was responsible, Leng Xue dismissed the idea, stating that Tu Wan was already dead and the killer was someone else.
In his mansion, An Shigeng, still consumed by grief for his deceased love Diewu, conversed with a subordinate. The subordinate confirmed that Tu Wan, one of the Four Murderers, had died at the hands of Tie Shou, not from the "Corpse Soul Pill" An Shigeng had given him. An Shigeng dismissed Tu Wan's death as a consequence of his arrogance, reflecting on how much had changed over twenty years and how formidable the new generation of famous trappers were.
The remaining three murderers, mourning Tu Wan, realized An Shigeng wouldn't provide them with the antidote for the Corpse Soul Pill. Deciding they had nothing left to lose, they vowed to set a trap for the famous trappers and Zhuge to seek revenge. An Shigeng's sorrow stemmed from Diewu's tragic end. He often reminisced about her, remembering her dream of marrying him. Diewu, a talented dancer, had captivated many, but she admired An Shigeng's artistry above all.
They shared a deep connection, and she once danced solely for him, articulating her philosophy of striving to be "number one" in everything, citing her recovery from a severe leg injury as proof of her determination. However, the Emperor, captivated by Diewu's beauty, commanded her to perform in the palace. An Shigeng was distraught, fearing the Emperor's intentions, but Diewu, believing the Emperor would not act improperly, complied.
Soon after, Zhang Gonggong arrived at An Shigeng's residence to deliver the devastating news: Diewu had committed suicide by jumping into a well rather than become the Emperor's concubine. He returned her cloth shoes, a painful reminder of her loyalty. Overcome with grief, An Shigeng's hair turned white overnight, and he became obsessed with revenge against the Emperor.
He later tried to replace Diewu with a woman named Ruyan who resembled her, but Ruyan's lack of talent only fueled his frustration. Some time prior, An Shigeng met with Zhuge at Mingyue Tower. An Shigeng highlighted the sixteen years since he last visited Mingyue Tower and his deliberate separation from the royal family due to his humble origins compared to Zhuge and the Emperor.
Zhuge brought up the recent murders by the Four Murderers, hinting at An Shigeng's possible involvement and questioning his apparent detachment from court affairs. When Zhuge asked about a killer who leaves no traces, An Shigeng feigned ignorance. Zhuge then subtly reminded An Shigeng of Diewu's death, noting it was her death anniversary. An Shigeng, enraged, openly blamed the Emperor for Diewu's demise.
Zhuge's sister, Princess Huajiao, arrived, urging An Shigeng to let go of his hatred, but An Shigeng, unwilling to discuss Diewu, abruptly departed. Back at Shenhou Mansion, a report came in of more murders: the Crown Prince's Imperial Tutor Lin Yin and Junior Mentor Wen Fangxi, along with their entire families, were annihilated, their bodies also vanished. Zhuge gathered the famous trappers, instructing them to analyze a poem.
Wu Qing quickly sensed its connection to the deceased officials, though he couldn't fully decipher it yet. Zhuge then deciphered the poem's hidden meanings, revealing a list of future victims. He deduced that the famous trappers' immediate mission was to prevent further killings, not just capture the Four Murderers, who were merely pawns of a powerful mastermind. He dispatched his subordinates to protect the remaining officials identified in the poem, Cao Tianxing and He Tongdao.
Despite their efforts, He Tongdao also succumbed to the mysterious attacker, showing similar vanishing bite marks on his neck. Later, Chu Limo and Ye Zi, disguised as men with fake beards, ventured out of Shenhou Mansion to explore the capital. Unbeknownst to them, they were being tracked by the Nine-tailed fox. While they were shopping for fabric, the Nine-tailed fox secretly stole Chu Limo's waist token, which bore the name "Shenhou Mansion" and Chu Limo's assumed male identity. The Nine-tailed fox continued to follow them.
Resumen del episodio 5
The capital is once again plagued by four more murders. The Famous Trappers arrive at the crime scenes for investigation, discovering peculiar and inhuman injuries on the victims. Meanwhile, Chu Limo, accompanied by the Nine-tailed Fox (who is disguised as her fellow maid, Ye'er), decides to take a break from Shenhou Mansion. Chu Limo initially expresses hesitation about leaving, but the disguised Nine-tailed Fox, in Ye'er's form, insists they go, reassuring Chu Limo that their supervisor Chunping is preoccupied.
For safety, Chu Limo dons a male disguise with a fake beard. The disguised Nine-tailed Fox, also in male attire, boasts about borrowing a waist token for her own disguise and fully embracing a male persona for the day. As they stroll through the city, "Ye'er" confides in Chu Limo, revealing she had lost faith in humanity before coming to Shenhou Mansion, but their friendship has since restored her belief. They affirm their bond and buy a windmill.
Later, as they browse a market stall, "Ye'er" playfully teases Chu Limo about a red bellyband. Chu Limo is mortified when she attempts to try on rouge, drawing a curious remark from the shopkeeper about a "gentleman" admiring makeup. Embarrassed, they leave and decide to visit a cloth shop. Stopping at an inn for some herbal tea, a "different" Nine-tailed Fox, in a separate disguise, approaches the waiter for directions to Linglong Embroidery Workshop.
Distracting the waiter, this Nine-tailed Fox seizes the opportunity to discreetly pour a prepared drug into Chu Limo and the disguised "Ye'er"'s cool herbal tea. Later, after they finish buying cloth, this Nine-tailed Fox follows them and steals Chu Limo's waist token, which bears her fake name and the Shenhou Mansion inscription. In the Shenhou Mansion, the real Ye'er has been imprisoned by the Nine-tailed Fox, who has successfully infiltrated the mansion disguised as Ye'er.
This infiltration was part of An Shigeng's plan, and he gave her the Qianxun Lantern, which glows when near the person he seeks. The Nine-tailed Fox carries the Qianxun Lantern through the mansion. When Zhui Ming passes by, the lantern does not react. The following day, as she approaches Leng Xue, the lantern suddenly glows brightly, confirming Leng Xue is the person An Shigeng seeks, the "Wolf Prince."
Simultaneously, the Famous Trappers and Six Doors clash at the scene of the Grand Master's murder. Six Doors constables attempt to block the Famous Trappers from investigating, but Wujing calmly asserts that both departments serve the Emperor and share the responsibility of protecting the capital. He reminds Commander Han of Six Doors' previous failure to contain the four villains, a situation that Shenhou Mansion ultimately resolved, saving Six Doors further embarrassment.
Despite Chun Tong, Commander Han's subordinate, vehemently objecting and accusing Wujing of trickery, Commander Han, prioritizing the larger objective of solving the ongoing murders, agrees to a joint investigation. He warns the Famous Trappers not to assume Six Doors is subservient. At the crime scene, Commander Han describes the victims' wounds as severe neck bites causing extensive blood loss.
He reveals that Six Doors used a special "stabilizing powder" to prevent the wounds from vanishing, which also preserved a strong animal scent. Leng Xue confirms the scent is not from bats and observes it was deliberately masked with Western Region spices. Zhui Ming expresses suspicion about Six Doors' involvement in covering the scent. The team considers if a single killer is behind the string of murders.
They note the bite marks and broken neck bones suggest a large animal attack, possibly a ruse to mislead them. They rule out Tu Wan, who controlled blood bats, as he is already dead. Later, Zhuge discusses the Fox Demon Sect, a group that trains young girls from around ten years old to become emotionless assassins, known as "Nine-tailed foxes," by severing their emotional ties. Zhui Ming, prompted by Zhuge's insights, deduces the Nine-tailed Fox's involvement in the capital's murders.
The Nine-tailed Fox, still within Shenhou Mansion, reports her findings to An Shigeng in a secret meeting. She reveals that she has identified the individual who makes the Qianxun Lantern glow. An Shigeng demands the name, but the Nine-tailed Fox insists on receiving the antidote first. An Shigeng subtly reminds her not to jeopardize his grander schemes, forcing her to disclose that Leng Xue is the one.
Upon hearing Leng Xue's name, An Shigeng presents the Nine-tailed Fox with a container and instructs her to obtain Leng Xue's blood and return to her duties in Shenhou Mansion. An Shigeng is consumed by a deep-seated vendetta. A flashback reveals his past with his beloved Die Wu, a dancer. They shared a passionate and tender relationship, reciting a poem about love and sacrifice.
Die Wu cherished the poem, and they exchanged vows of eternal devotion: she would dance only for him, and he would love only her. An Shigeng presented her with a "life and death contract" and a jade pendant as a symbol of his unwavering commitment. Their happiness was shattered when the Emperor, captivated by Die Wu's fame, summoned her to perform. An Shigeng was filled with dread, fearing the Emperor's intentions.
Die Wu tried to reassure him, promising to return quickly after her single performance. However, Eunuch Zhang soon returned with tragic news: Die Wu had refused the Emperor's offer to make her a concubine and, in an act of loyalty to An Shigeng, committed suicide by jumping into a well, leaving only her shoes behind. Devastated, An Shigeng's hair turned white overnight. In his profound grief, he repeatedly recites their shared poem.
He then vows grimly that he will make whoever caused Die Wu's death pay the ultimate price. He reveals his ultimate ambition: to activate the "Magic Feather Key" with the Wolf Prince's blood, open the "Fantasy Feather Grotto" on the upcoming full moon, and acquire the "Demon King's Relics" and "Ghost Book" to achieve peerless martial arts and dominate the world, thereby delivering justice for his mother and Die Wu.
An Shigeng now keeps a woman named Ruyan, who resembles Die Wu, and attempts to force her to embody Die Wu's persona. He harshly criticizes Ruyan for her inability to learn Die Wu's dance and recite the poem, despite her earnest efforts, refusing to accept that she can never truly become Die Wu. Chu Limo begins her new life as a maid in Shenhou Mansion, having passed Chunping's assessment alongside other women.
Under Chunping's strict supervision, Chu Limo and the disguised "Ye'er" (Nine-tailed Fox) are assigned to clean various areas, including Wujing's room. During her duties, Chu Limo experiences a mishap, falling while cleaning, and is caught by Wujing. Chunping reprimands Chu Limo for being in Wujing's arms, but Wujing intervenes to protect her. Chunping continues to assign Chu Limo various demanding tasks, making her maid life challenging.
Resumen del episodio 6
Ling Yiyi, who was infatuated with Tie Shou, encountered him and Zhui Ming as they were leaving. Seizing the opportunity, Ling Yiyi presented Tie Shou with a small booklet and asked him to sign it. Unbeknownst to Tie Shou, the booklet contained a commitment from Ling Yiyi to care for him, and he signed it without reading the content. Overjoyed, Ling Yiyi celebrated.
Zhui Ming, taking the booklet from her, deliberately read its contents aloud, making Tie Shou realize he had been tricked. Zhui Ming chuckled and walked away, while Ling Yiyi insisted that his signature meant he was willing to spend his life with her. Chu Limo faced a difficult life at Shenhou Mansion, constantly enduring torment from Chunping and other maids.
She confided in "Ye'er" (whom she believed to be her friend) about her current happiness, contrasting it with her earlier life living with an unkind aunt and uncle who continually scolded her because they coveted her deceased parents' two houses. Having run away from home, she arrived in the capital and worked for six months before managing to secure a position as a maid at Shenhou Mansion, having heard of its benevolent treatment of servants.
One day, after Chunping forced her to chop wood, Chu Limo, unwilling to continue such a life, attempted to escape the Shenhou Mansion by climbing over its wall. However, Leng Xue intercepted her outside. Chu Limo pleaded with him, expressing her reluctance to remain. Leng Xue reminded her that she had originally been destined to be a palace concubine but had escaped with the help of the Four Great Constables.
If the Emperor discovered she was still alive, it would bring severe repercussions upon them and all the residents of Shenhou Mansion. Despite Leng Xue's warning, Chu Limo again attempted to flee, with Leng Xue in pursuit. She ran into the street and falsely accused Leng Xue of harassing her. However, the women in the street did not believe her and instead helped Leng Xue apprehend her. He then brought her back to Shenhou Mansion, forbidding Chunping from further abuse.
Later, Wu Qing spoke with Leng Xue, acknowledging his sometimes harsh temper but emphasizing his kind nature. Wu Qing admired Chu Limo's courage to defy her fate and asked Leng Xue to be gentler, lest they betray their original intention of saving her. Leng Xue agreed not to trouble Chu Limo but asked Wu Qing to tell her to avoid causing further problems. That night, a Nine-tailed fox attacked Wu Qing at Shenhou Mansion.
Wu Qing skillfully defended himself, but the Nine-tailed fox retreated to the rooftop and fled. Leng Xue, alerted by the commotion, joined Wu Qing in pursuit. After a fierce struggle, the Nine-tailed fox sustained a leg injury and managed to return to her husband, Zhang Sheng. Chu Limo, who had followed, secretly overheard Zhang Sheng scolding the Nine-tailed fox after noticing her injured leg and suspecting her continued involvement in killings.
The Nine-tailed fox, whose true name was Tu Shanxue, tearfully confided in her husband, explaining that her actions were solely driven by her desire to find a cure for his illness. Zhang Sheng expressed regret that her life had become one of constant upheaval because of him, urging her to leave and live a peaceful life away from grudges and attachments. He believed that if he were to pass away, seeing her live happily would bring him joy.
Tu Shanxue, however, refused to abandon him, vowing to stay by his side no matter what, reminding him that she had once taken a blow meant for him. Listening to their poignant conversation from outside, Chu Limo felt a growing sympathy for the Nine-tailed fox and decided not to reveal her secret to Leng Xue. Earlier, the Four Great Constables had been investigating the mysterious deaths in the capital.
Leng Xue reported finding animal tooth marks on the victims and detecting a deliberately masked animal scent at the scene. Zhuge deduced that the perpetrator was no ordinary criminal, unlike the crude methods of the Four Fiends (such as Tu Wan), and that the attacks were likely sneak assaults in unguarded situations.
He then explained a unique martial arts sect, the "Tushan Fox Immortal Sect," which trained female orphans from a young age, forcing them to sever emotional ties and embedding them with "fox tails" as weapons, earning them the moniker "Nine-tailed fox" assassins. These embedded tails, integrated with their flesh and blood, meant that if they were cut, the individual would die, hence the sect's strict rule against emotional attachment.
Zhui Ming concluded that the Nine-tailed fox was indeed connected to the capital's murder cases. Separately, the Nine-tailed fox reported to An Shigeng that she had identified the person who made the Qianxun Lamp glow. An Shigeng, eager for the name, initially withheld the "Resurrection Pill" from her, reminding her of their agreement. The Nine-tailed fox, desperate for her husband's life, revealed that the lamp reacted to Leng Xue.
An Shigeng then disclosed that the Resurrection Pill required the "blood of a wolf prince," which was Leng Xue's blood. He gave her a container to collect his blood and warned her that Shenhou Mansion had already discovered the fox-related nature of the murders, making her mission more dangerous.
To aid her, he provided a "tasteless sacred water" to conceal her scent, instructing her to obtain Leng Xue's living blood, preferably during the full moon when Leng Xue's "wolf toxin" would make him weakest. He also gave her a "life-extending pill" for her husband, which would only last seven days, emphasizing she must complete the task within this time or her "whole world would be ruined."
One evening, Chu Limo, while attempting to retrieve her lost jade pendant, was caught by Chunping. Taking advantage of the situation, Chunping blackmailed Chu Limo into sneaking into Leng Xue's room to steal a personal item, claiming she wanted it to alleviate her loneliness. Reluctantly, Chu Limo, disguised as a young man, entered Leng Xue's room. Leng Xue, who was already waiting for someone for a massage, commanded her to perform it, expressing discomfort and pain.
Chu Limo, annoyed by his demands, deliberately gave him an unusually forceful massage. Surprisingly, Leng Xue found this therapeutic, feeling his blocked meridians open. He inquired what she used for the massage. Soon after, Leng Xue confronted Chu Limo, accusing her of taking something. When other maids, including Chunping, gathered outside, they maliciously accused Chu Limo of seducing Leng Xue.
Leng Xue quickly retrieved his handkerchief from Chu Limo and dismissed the others, but Wu Qing approached Leng Xue, questioning the commotion. The next morning, Chu Limo woke to find the Nine-tailed fox (still disguised as Ye'er) by her bed. Recognizing her, Chu Limo realized the Nine-tailed fox's leg injury was real. Sympathizing with her, Chu Limo prepared some wound medicine.
To cover for the Nine-tailed fox's injury and help her heal, Chu Limo feigned a leg injury, limping dramatically in front of Leng Xue. Wu Qing, completely unaware of the deception, promptly took Chu Limo to a pharmacy to have her leg treated. The doctor, examining Chu Limo's seemingly injured leg with no visible wounds, expressed curiosity about this peculiar ailment.
Resumen del episodio 7
An Shigen has been relentlessly searching for werewolves with wolf blood. The Nine-tailed Fox, using the Qianxun Lamp gifted by An Shigen, identifies Leng Xue as one such werewolf. An Shigen instructs her to closely monitor Leng Xue, noting that he is most vulnerable during a full moon when his wolf nature is activated, a prime opportunity for her to harm him and extract wolf blood. Meanwhile, Leng Xue confronts An Shigen about the annihilation of his clan.
An Shigen points to Leng Xue's adoptive father as the perpetrator, but when Leng Xue questions his adoptive father, the latter vehemently denies the accusation. Ling Yiyi continued her determined pursuit of Tie Shou. She presented him with a document, which Zhui Ming had deceptively gotten Tie Shou to sign, proclaiming Ling Yiyi's commitment to care for Tie Shou for life. Confused and embarrassed, Tie Shou denied having any such agreement.
Ling Yiyi explained that Tie Shou had once saved her from a bully in her hometown, and after three months of arduous travel, she was now penniless and resolved to fulfill the "contract" by looking after him. Despite his initial resistance, Tie Shou eventually agreed to escort her back to Qiuyun Temple, where she was staying. Later, Tie Shou crafted a giant kite, which he and Ling Yiyi playfully flew together.
As night fell, Tie Shou gathered fireflies for an overjoyed Ling Yiyi. Seeing her, Tie Shou was reminded of his own sister, who Ling Yiyi strongly resembled, and advised her to return to her hometown for a better life. Meanwhile, Chunping’s relentless bullying of Chu Limo intensified.
She assigned Chu Limo increasingly demanding tasks, such as washing a huge pile of clothes and floorcloths within a ridiculously short time, or sweeping the vast inner hall and chopping a large stack of wood into tiny pieces with even shorter incense sticks as deadlines. When Chu Limo protested the unfairness, Chunping and other maids mocked her, accusing her of seducing Leng Xue and often denying her food if the tasks weren't completed to their impossible standards.
Chu Limo's friend, Ye'er, attempted to assist her, but Chunping would intervene, taking Ye'er away to prevent her from helping. Chu Limo, exhausted by the abuse, tried to escape Shenhou Mansion by climbing over a wall. Leng Xue intercepted her, reminding her of her true identity as Chu Yingxue, who was meant to enter the palace.
He cautioned that her escape from the palace, facilitated by the Four Constables, put them at severe risk of imperial wrath if her survival were discovered. Disregarding his warning, Chu Limo fled into the street, crying out that Leng Xue was harassing her. However, the bystanders did not believe her, and Leng Xue eventually apprehended her and brought her back to the mansion. After being denied food, Chu Limo received some savory pancakes from a compassionate Wuqing.
She vented her frustration about Leng Xue's coldness, but Wuqing defended him, explaining that Leng Xue, though seemingly aloof, was a man of deep loyalty. Chu Limo then expressed her sadness over her mother's jade pendant, the only tangible link to her past. In a candid conversation, Ye'er revealed details about her own family, explaining her mother's aversion to men and "love" due to past heartbreaks, and how she raised many girls under strict rules.
Chu Limo, in turn, confided about her childhood love for her cousin, who was rejected by her father and later betrayed her, though Chu Limo no longer blamed him, feeling their emotional debt was settled. Ye'er then revealed that she, too, harbored a deep love for a scholar, gravely injured by Ye'er's mother, for whom she was doing everything, longing to forsake her past and live an ordinary life with him.
Shortly after these conversations, it was discovered that Chunping had secretly imprisoned Ye'er; Chu Limo later found Ye'er's clothes and heard her cries from a hidden room. Later, after a night of relentless teasing about Ling Yiyi, Zhui Ming shared a drink with Wuqing, expressing his frustration with Leng Xue's emotional detachment, particularly concerning Ji Yaohua and Princess Ziluo. Wuqing explained that Leng Xue carried the heavy burden of his clan's annihilation, which left him no mind for romantic entanglements.
Wuqing also attempted to persuade Leng Xue to reconsider his harsh judgment of Chu Limo. He acknowledged Leng Xue's account of Chu Limo impersonating a masseuse and stealing his handkerchief but argued it was a misunderstanding, possibly indicating manipulation. Wuqing stated that Chu Limo could not be the Nine-tailed Fox responsible for the recent murders, as she was in Huzhou when the incidents began in the capital. He implored Leng Xue to clear Chu Limo's name.
Leng Xue, however, remained suspicious, citing a lingering "fox scent" around Chu Limo and her mysterious behavior. Despite Wuqing’s pleas, Leng Xue refused to intervene in Chu Limo's plight. However, when he later overheard maids spreading rumors of a "banning order" he supposedly issued against Chu Limo, Leng Xue confronted Chunping, explicitly forbidding her from using his name to persecute others.
Meanwhile, the Nine-tailed Fox (Jiuyuehu), whose leg was injured during her confrontation with Leng Xue and Wuqing, returned to her husband, Zhang Sheng. He discovered her wound and confronted her, accusing her of reverting to her dangerous activities despite her promise to stop. He expressed profound despair, feeling his existence was a burden, and proposed severing their ties. The Nine-tailed Fox, however, tearfully swore to remain by his side, asserting that all her actions were for his sake.
Chu Limo, who had been secretly listening from outside the room, felt a deep sense of empathy for the Nine-tailed Fox's plight. She wrestled with the dilemma of whether to reveal the truth of the Nine-tailed Fox's motives to the constables, fearing that doing so would lead to Zhang Sheng's death. Chu Limo questioned if all "demons" were inherently evil and resolved to find a way to help the Nine-tailed Fox.
Back in the Shenhou Mansion kitchen, Chu Limo accidentally caused a fire while struggling to chop firewood. Chunping, seizing the opportunity, immediately demanded Chu Limo's expulsion. However, Zhuge arrived and, recognizing that the fire was accidental, decided not to punish Chu Limo, much to Chunping's dismay. Though Zhuge had previously instructed Chunping to treat maids with respect, Chunping remained hostile, threatening Chu Limo with eviction by the end of the month.
Fearlessly, Chu Limo demanded the return of her precious jade pendant, which Chunping had forcibly confiscated. Chunping grudgingly handed it back. Later, as Chu Limo was outside playing with her recovered jade pendant, Zhuge noticed an unusual inscription on it, and Chu Limo innocently explained its origin, leading Zhuge to realize her background was far more extraordinary than he had imagined. Zhuge then coaxed Chu Limo to a great hall, where two small wolves suddenly appeared and advanced towards her.
Resumen del episodio 8
Zhuge Zhengwo discovered Chu Limo's jade pendant, which led him to believe she was a descendant of Mind-reading skill practitioners. He then brought her to a secret room, or a large hall, where she encountered wolves, including two wolf cubs. Chu Limo's innate abilities allowed her to interact with and tame the wolves, confirming Zhuge Zhengwo's suspicions about her talent.
He then revealed his identity as her mother's senior brother, affectionately called "Shibo" by Chu Limo, and showed her a portrait of her mother, who had left Chu Limo the jade pendant and only two phrases.
Zhuge Zhengwo's words reminded Chu Limo that she could indeed hear the inner thoughts of both animals and people, though her mother had always discouraged her from communicating with animals, leading Zhuge Zhengwo to believe his junior sister did not want Chu Limo to learn Mind-reading skill. Chu Limo, however, expressed a strong desire to master the Mind-reading skill, hoping to connect with her mother's spirit and discover her whereabouts.
Seeing her earnestness, Zhuge Zhengwo gifted her a Mind-reading skill manual. He later began actively teaching her, instructing her to converse continuously with various animals and cautioning her to read with her heart rather than merely focusing on outward appearances. Zhuge Zhengwo, now treating Chu Limo as family, assigned her to be solely responsible for Leng Xue's daily care, including his living arrangements and meals. This decision surprised everyone, and Leng Xue was particularly angered by it.
Chu Limo, who harbored no good feelings towards Leng Xue and was reluctant to serve him, nonetheless complied with Zhuge Zhengwo's command. This appointment occurred after Chu Limo resolved a prior conflict with Chunping, who had attempted to drive her away from the household. Leng Xue demonstrated a difficult attitude towards Chu Limo, demanding that she clean the entire room before she could rest for the night. One night, Ji Yaohua, unable to sleep, encountered Leng Xue in the courtyard.
Chu Limo, having just finished her cleaning duties, also came to the courtyard and urged Leng Xue to return to his room to sleep. Leng Xue, sternly, ordered Chu Limo to fetch a basin of hot water. Though displeased, Chu Limo complied. Ji Yaohua expressed concern over Chu Limo and Leng Xue residing in the same living quarters.
Leng Xue clarified to Ji Yaohua that they slept in separate rooms, but despite his apparent lack of affection for Chu Limo, Ji Yaohua remained deeply troubled by the situation. Meanwhile, Nine-tailed fox, observing Chu Limo's frequent proximity to Leng Xue, covertly asked her to obtain Leng Xue's blood. While fetching hot water for Leng Xue as instructed (as Leng Xue had asked her to wash), Chu Limo began fantasizing about how she might acquire his blood.
In her fantasy, she envisioned Leng Xue washing his feet, discovered an injury, and wiped away the blood with a cloth. She was startled out of this reverie by Ye'er, or by the approaching Nine-tailed fox. Nine-tailed fox then anxiously questioned Chu Limo about whether she had managed to get Leng Xue's blood, but Chu Limo understood the difficulty of obtaining blood from a skilled martial artist like Leng Xue.
The next morning, Chu Limo presented Leng Xue with a basin of hot water, but Leng Xue detected iron nails hidden within. He cunningly offered to wash Chu Limo's feet, knowing she would be injured by the nails. Chu Limo, aware of the danger, declined, prompting Leng Xue to explicitly point out the nails in the basin. Later that night, while Leng Xue lay sound asleep, Chu Limo approached his bed with a small gourd. She then pricked his hand, successfully collecting his blood, all without Leng Xue noticing, and smiled secretly, holding the gourd filled with his blood.
Resumen del episodio 9
Leng Xue experienced a haunting flashback of his parents' final moments, where they urged him to be strong as the prince of the wolf clan and to remember the blood feud. Later, as an adult, Leng Xue approached his senior uncle to discuss An Shigeng's startling accusation that Leng Xue's adoptive father was responsible for his family's massacre. His senior uncle expressed doubt about An Shigeng's motives.
Leng Xue then confronted his adoptive father, who revealed he had recovered the wolf clan's royal ring from a pawnbroker and had intentionally concealed the truth of Leng Xue's past to spare him sorrow, a wish his adoptive mother had also held.
When Leng Xue inquired about Jia Jun, whom An Shigeng claimed was ordered to carry out the massacre and then silenced, his adoptive father denied any involvement, stating Jia Jun was executed for treason, and questioned An Shigeng's intentions in framing him. Meanwhile, at Shenhou Mansion, Chu Limo endured harsh treatment from Chunping, who confined her to the firewood room and assigned her menial tasks, making derogatory remarks about her character.
Chu Limo accidentally started a fire in the kitchen, but Zhuge intervened. He prevented her dismissal and punishment, which sparked gossip among the other maids who questioned his leniency and Chu Limo's influence. Chu Limo later discovered that "Ye'er," whom she had befriended, was actually Nine-tailed Fox in disguise, seeking Leng Xue's blood to save her husband, Zhang Sheng.
Chu Limo attempted to persuade her to abandon her dangerous quest, but Nine-tailed Fox remained resolute, insisting Leng Xue's blood was the only cure and requesting Chu Limo's assistance. Zhuge then sought to develop Chu Limo's latent abilities. He led her into a room with wolfdogs, where her natural talent for communicating with animals and sensing their thoughts was tested and confirmed.
Following this, Zhuge revealed a portrait of Chu Limo's mother, Bian Yaoshi, identifying her as his junior sister and a renowned "goddess trapper" famous for her mind-reading skill. He explained that Bian Yaoshi had entrusted him with the "Mind-reading skill" manual. Recognizing her inherent gift and fueled by a fervent desire to find her long-lost mother, Chu Limo insisted on learning the full technique.
Zhuge, acknowledging her determination, gave her the manual, urging diligent practice and strict secrecy about their newfound connection. Under Zhuge's direct guidance, Chu Limo honed her mind-reading abilities in the capital, effortlessly discerning the thoughts of passersby. She used this skill to save a woman from being sold into a brothel. Around this time, Tie Shou offered a magical experience to Yiyi, flying a large kite with her and creating a dazzling display of fireflies.
He sang a sentimental folk song, noting Yiyi's resemblance to his deceased sister, and advised her to return to her hometown if he were no longer there, a suggestion Yiyi affectionately rejected, reaffirming their friendship. Separately, Wu Qing showed Chu Limo a sunbird, explaining its symbolic loyalty in love. Chu Limo found herself flustered by their close proximity, her heart racing. Zhuge formally assigned Chu Limo as Leng Xue's personal maid.
This decision was met with objections from Leng Xue, who valued his solitude and the male-only tradition of Fenglin Pavilion, and further fueled gossip among the other maids who envied Chu Limo's new position. Nine-tailed Fox subsequently reported to An Shigeng, detailing her updated plan, now leveraging Chu Limo's role as Leng Xue's personal maid to gain access and secure his blood.
Meanwhile, the Four Constables engaged in a fierce battle against the three villains, who had been orchestrating massacres and infant abductions to provoke them. During the battle, Tang Chou and Yan Zhao were severely wounded and died, observed by Tie Shou and Wu Qing. Zhui Ming pursued Zhao Hao, successfully rescuing several infants from a wooden house.
He then confronted and defeated Zhao Hao, who attempted a desperate suicide attack with explosives, intending to take Zhui Ming and the infants with him. Zhui Ming skillfully evaded the blast, and Zhao Hao was annihilated by his own explosives, saving the children. Later, Nine-tailed Fox held Ye'er captive, and when Chu Limo returned to Shenhou Mansion to demand Ye'er's release, Nine-tailed Fox stated that Leng Xue's blood was required to save Ye'er.
Leng Xue, having learned of the situation, arrived and confronted Nine-tailed Fox. In a desperate move, Nine-tailed Fox seized Chu Limo as a hostage. To protect Chu Limo, Leng Xue cut his own wrist and provided a sample of his blood. Nine-tailed Fox then delivered the collected blood to Zhang Sheng. An Shigeng abruptly appeared, seized the blood, and refused to give Nine-tailed Fox the antidote she sought.
In a desperate gambit to retrieve the blood, Nine-tailed Fox cunningly claimed it was not Leng Xue's. Believing her, An Shigeng threw the blood-filled container at Nine-tailed Fox. In a final, selfless act of devotion, Zhang Sheng intercepted the projectile, taking the full impact. He collapsed into Nine-tailed Fox's arms, spitting a mouthful of blood, and died.
Resumen del episodio 10
An Shigeng had previously deceived Nine-tailed fox, leading to Zhang Sheng being gravely wounded when he shielded Nine-tailed fox from a blood container thrown by An Shigeng. Nine-tailed fox was also severely injured by An Shigeng. Desperate to save Zhang Sheng, Nine-tailed fox later revealed to An Shigeng her new plan to obtain Leng Xue's blood. She explained she would use Chu Limo, a close friend who had been assigned as Leng Xue's personal maid, to get closer to him.
An Shigeng approved of this manipulative scheme, emphasizing that only through such betrayal could results be achieved. Nine-tailed fox, resolute in her commitment to her husband, agreed, asserting she had no friends and would do anything to save him. An Shigeng instructed her to act swiftly, promising to begin making the medicine once the blood was secured. Meanwhile, An Shigeng discussed with Chuntong the Four Murderers. After one of them died, the remaining three had gone into hiding.
An Shigeng confidently predicted that their strong brotherhood would lead them to seek revenge on Shenhou Mansion, anticipating an entertaining spectacle. Following this, Zhuge Zhengwo, leading a team of trappers from Shenhou Mansion, confronted An Shigeng at Prince An's Mansion. Zhuge attempted to incriminate An Shigeng for releasing the Four Murderers, but An Shigeng denied the accusation, stating that the Four Murderers had already died at the hands of the Four Great Constables. Unable to secure a confession, Zhuge left.
In a separate development, the Three Murderers had been terrorizing the populace, abducting infants to lure the Four Great Constables into a confrontation. Zhuge Zhengwo, knowing the infants' parents had been killed, vowed to eliminate the murderers. The Four Great Constables battled the Three Murderers. Chase Life found the abducted infants and defeated Zhao Hao, who then detonated explosives strapped to his body in a futile attempt to take Chase Life with him.
Meanwhile, Iron Hand and Heartless stood by as Tang Chou and Yan Zhao succumbed to their severe injuries. Following her grave injuries, Nine-tailed fox was brought to a secluded wooden hut by Leng Xue and Chu Limo, where her severely injured husband, Zhang Sheng, awaited. Despite their dire circumstances, Zhang Sheng had prepared longevity noodles for Nine-tailed fox's birthday.
The couple shared a heartfelt moment, expressing their profound love and happiness in simply being together, even in the face of impending death. Nine-tailed fox tenderly helped her weakened husband to bed. Back at Shenhou Mansion, Zhuge Zhengwo informed Leng Xue that An Shigeng's true motive in using Nine-tailed fox was to acquire Leng Xue's blood.
Leng Xue expressed a desire to investigate, but Zhuge cautioned him against taking any rash action that could further alert An Shigeng and potentially endanger the entire Shenhou Mansion. Zhuge Zhengwo then assigned Chu Limo as Leng Xue's personal maid. Chu Limo initially resisted, citing Leng Xue's difficult temperament, but Zhuge hinted at a deeper purpose for the assignment that she would eventually understand.
Chu Limo encountered Chunping, who, feigning friendliness, offered her snacks and requested she speak favorably of her to Leng Xue and keep her updated on his affairs. Chu Limo agreed, but in turn, asked Chunping to protect Ye'er from Xiaomei's bullying. When Chunping later attempted to replace Chu Limo as Leng Xue's maid, Leng Xue rebuffed her, reminding her of a past incident involving a stolen handkerchief.
Chunping, pretending to have forgotten, quickly departed, leaving Chu Limo alone with Leng Xue. Annoyed by the situation, Chu Limo resolved to fulfill her duty as Zhuge's appointee and devise a plan to obtain Leng Xue's blood for Nine-tailed fox. Leng Xue proceeded to impose a series of strict and eccentric rules for her, including forbidding her from entering his sleeping area, touching his belongings, or even relieving herself during his rest.
He then ordered her to clean his entire room. Later, Ji Yaohua brought Leng Xue a specially woven Ci Bamboo mat, hoping its coolness would aid his sleep during the warm weather. Leng Xue politely declined the gift. Ji Yaohua then inquired about Chu Limo residing in his wing. Leng Xue clarified that their rooms were separate, a setup orchestrated by Zhuge Zhengwo, and dismissed her concerns, suggesting she retire for the night.
Ji Yaohua, however, remained troubled by Chu Limo and Leng Xue's close living arrangements. Chu Limo, determined to acquire Leng Xue's blood, prepared a bath infused with flower petals and milk, attempting to ingratiate herself with him. When Leng Xue declined her offer to wash his feet, she noticed a small cut on him and seized the opportunity to wipe his blood, successfully collecting a small amount.
Soon after, Nine-tailed fox, visibly agitated, confronted Chu Limo, questioning if she had obtained the blood. Startled, Chu Limo claimed she had been awakened before she could secure it. Nine-tailed fox stressed the urgency, revealing that Zhang Sheng was on the verge of death. Chu Limo, promising a "great idea," resolved to try again. Her next attempt, another floral and milky bath, was thwarted when Leng Xue discovered nails hidden in the water, exposing her ploy.
In a separate conversation among some trappers, the topic of Zhuge Zhengwo's cherished handkerchief arose. They noted it bore an intricate colorful qilin, embroidered by Jiaoniang with golden thread from the Heavenly Realm, a symbol of good fortune. One of the trappers divulged a long-held secret: Jiaoniang was once a princess whom Zhuge had rescued from a lake. She fell deeply in love with him, but the Emperor deemed Zhuge an unsuitable match.
Despite Zhuge's subsequent rise to commander of Shenhou Mansion, the Emperor remained steadfast in his refusal to permit their marriage. In defiance, Jiaoniang vowed never to return to the palace without Zhuge by her side. After sharing this captivating tale, the trapper jokingly demanded a complimentary meal at Mingyue Tower for revealing such a significant secret. Zhuge Zhengwo continued Chu Limo's mind-reading training by taking her to a bustling street for practical application.
He explained that true mind-reading extended beyond mere eye contact, requiring one to "read with the heart," understanding that the "mind is the master of all methods and all ways, and the master of essence, qi, and spirit." He emphasized that cultivating inner calm and stillness was paramount.
Chu Limo demonstrated her growing ability, successfully discerning the thoughts of passersby: a woman contemplating her husband, a man reflecting on his recent financial gains, and an elderly woman planning a meal for her grandson. Her skills were then tested in more complex human situations. She observed a man attempting to sell a young woman into a brothel.
Reading his vile intentions, Chu Limo alerted Zhuge, who swiftly intervened, rescuing the distraught woman and providing her with travel money to return home. Next, Chu Limo witnessed a man trying to end a relationship with a woman who desperately clung to him. Initially misinterpreting the situation, Chu Limo soon understood the woman's desperate plight: she was forsaking her love for a wealthier man to ensure her family's survival, leaving the heartbroken man to vow never to trust women again.
Through these experiences, Chu Limo came to realize that everyone carried their own "last resort" or unavoidable circumstances. Zhuge Zhengwo commended Chu Limo's accelerated progress, acknowledging her as the daughter of Bian Hongyao, a renowned figure from a mind-reading family. He posited that her mother, sixteen years prior, had entrusted him with the mind-reading manual for a deeply cherished individual, likely her own child.
He believed that mastering this art could ultimately lead Chu Limo to reunite with her mother, citing their inherent "mother-daughter telepathy." He then made arrangements for Chu Limo to temporarily reside with his cousin while she embarked on her search. Shenhou Mansion then held a constable assessment, with many female constables participating. Zhuge Zhengwo unexpectedly appointed Chu Limo as the examiner, knowing her mind-reading abilities would expose cheating. Many constables, including Leng Xue, were puzzled by this decision.
During the assessment, a constable named Hai Xiang attempted to cheat due to desperate personal circumstances – failure meant she would be forced into an unwanted marriage. Chu Limo detected her cheating. Ji Yaohua tried to intervene to protect Hai Xiang, but Chu Limo admonished her for attempting to condone fraud. Zhuge Zhengwo, upon learning of Hai Xiang's cheating from Chu Limo, disqualified her.
Leng Xue and Ji Yaohua, sympathetic to Hai Xiang's plight, had secretly tried to help her pass, but Chu Limo's strict adherence to rules thwarted their efforts. Afterwards, two female constables, annoyed by Chu Limo's actions, harassed her, pushing her into a pond. Just as she was about to fall, Heartless appeared and caught her. Chu Limo fainted in his arms, and Heartless carried her to her quarters.
When Chu Limo awoke, Heartless had left, and Ye'er was by her bedside. Leng Xue also came to visit Chu Limo in her room. Later, Zhuge sent Chu Limo to deliver snacks to Leng Xue, who was at the Back Mountain Waterfall. Two jealous female trappers, annoyed by Chu Limo's proximity to Leng Xue, plotted to embarrass her. Upon arriving at the waterfall, Chu Limo inadvertently discovered Leng Xue bathing.
Leng Xue immediately accused her of brazenly peeking, but Chu Limo retorted that she had been tricked by the other trappers. Subsequently, the two trappers confronted Chu Limo, presenting her with a list of "Three Prohibitions" concerning Leng Xue: no direct eye contact, minimal verbal responses (limited to "um," "oh," and "I don't know"), and absolutely no inappropriate thoughts about him.
Chu Limo defiantly dismissed their rules, expressing her genuine aversion to Leng Xue's "stinky face," her lack of desire to converse with him, and her complete absence of romantic interest. Enraged, the trappers vowed to exact their revenge. Leng Xue continued to treat Chu Limo with harshness, suggesting he should "gouge out her eyes" for her supposed peeping. He ordered her to fetch him water.
When she brought cold water, he complained, yet when she offered to retrieve hot water, he insisted he preferred it cold. As Chu Limo attempted to leave, he sternly forbade her from stepping outside the room without his explicit permission, effectively confining her. Exasperated by his unreasonable behavior, Chu Limo retreated to her small room, declaring she would refuse to work as long as she was held captive.
Resumen del episodio 11
Chu Limo faced numerous trials, including being pushed into a pond, though Wu Qing promptly rescued her. Despite her illness, an unaware Leng Xue demanded she perform tasks. Annoyed with Leng Xue, Chu Limo expressed her frustration through preparing his food before dutifully cleaning his room, where she ultimately collapsed from exhaustion. Meanwhile, Zhuiming harbored deep affection for Princess Ziluo, constantly thinking of her. However, Princess Ziluo's heart was set solely on Leng Xue.
Even after being confined, Princess Ziluo immediately sought out Leng Xue, completely disregarding Zhuiming's overtures. The people of Xianhe Division, who disliked Princess Ziluo's persistent pursuit of Leng Xue and also resented Chu Limo, suggested to Princess Ziluo that Chu Limo hold an arrow board for her archery practice. Two female constables at Shenhou Mansion also capitalized on this opportunity, prompting Chu Limo to appear before Princess Ziluo with the arrow board.
The individuals involved secretly tampered with the board, almost turning Chu Limo into a living target. As Princess Ziluo aimed, Chu Limo moved around to dodge, angering the Princess, who ordered her to stand still. Chu Limo, afraid to move, stood firm as Princess Ziluo released an arrow. The arrow board suddenly fell from Chu Limo's hands, sending the arrow flying directly towards her. In the nick of time, Leng Xue arrived, catching the arrow and saving Chu Limo.
He sternly rebuked Princess Ziluo for her willfulness and reprimanded the two female constables for their dangerous actions. Princess Ziluo, infuriated, vented her anger on Zhuiming, who, despite being a scapegoat, continued to show her devoted care. Jiaoniang recognized Zhuiming's profound feelings for the Princess. Separately, Wen Wuchang, the evil-doing son of Wen Ruyu, leader of the Five Poison Feathers, was captured by constables and faced imminent execution.
Wen Ruyu, desperate to save his only son, sought help from An Shigeng at Prince An's Mansion. An Shigeng dispatched Yu Chuntong, a Six Doors constable who had participated in Wen Wuchang's capture, to rescue him on the way to the execution ground. Yu Chuntong, secretly colluding with An Shigeng, successfully freed Wen Wuchang. Wen Wuchang, resentful of Yu Chuntong's involvement in his initial capture, was hostile towards him.
After Wen Wuchang's rescue, An Shigeng demanded that Wen Ruyu and Wen Wuchang take Soul-Chasing Pills, making them dependent on him for antidotes. Wen Ruyu offered a large sum of money, but An Shigeng, already powerful and wealthy beyond measure, considered money worthless. Under An Shigeng's coercion, Wen Ruyu and Wen Wuchang reluctantly consumed the pills. Later, as night fell, Leng Xue's wolf nature erupted.
He attacked Ji Yaohua, choking her and lifting her into the air before throwing her aside. He then engaged in a fierce duel with the Three Great Constables. In the ensuing chaos, Leng Xue nearly choked Wu Qing, but Chu Limo pushed Wu Qing away, only to be grabbed and choked herself. Zhuge, arriving on the scene, advised Chu Limo to use her Mind-reading skill to quell Leng Xue's feral instincts.
Though immobilized and choked, Chu Limo, as Leng Xue was losing control, loudly urged him to gaze into her eyes. Following her instruction, Leng Xue gradually calmed down, and his wolf nature receded. In another development, Tie Shou, fearing for Yi Yi's safety, wished for her to live a peaceful life away from him. He recounted a story about his lost sister, hoping to persuade Yi Yi to leave.
Tie Shou provided Yi Yi with money for her journey home, urging her not to return and explaining that he had already lost his dearest family and did not want her to suffer similar consequences by being associated with him.
Resumen del episodio 12
Yu Chuntong, acting on behalf of An Shigeng, secretly infiltrated Shenhou Mansion. He sprinkled blood powder outside Leng Xue's room, which triggered Leng Xue's wolf nature/wolf poison. In this uncontrolled state, Leng Xue violently attacked Ji Yaohua, choking her. Yu Chuntong observed from behind a wooden pillar in the corridor.
Wu Qing, Zhui Ming, and Tie Shou rushed to the scene but were unable to subdue Leng Xue; his incredible strength injured all three, and he even nearly harmed Wu Qing. At this critical moment, Chu Limo pushed Wu Qing aside, and Leng Xue grabbed her instead, choking her. Having lost all rationality, Leng Xue posed a grave threat to Chu Limo.
Zhuge Zheng Wo (also referred to as Zhuge Wen Diao) urged Chu Limo to remain calm and utilize her Mind-reading skill. As Chu Limo performed the Mind-reading skill, she saw deep hatred within Leng Xue's mind and witnessed his unbearable childhood memory of his clan's massacre. She successfully read these memories and persuaded him to release his hatred. Upon this, Leng Xue immediately released Chu Limo, collapsing to the ground. Chu Limo breathed a sigh of relief.
Leng Xue was then moved to his room to rest. Chu Limo later visited him there, but Leng Xue, though awake, feigned sleep until she departed, opening his eyes only after she left. Subsequently, Zhuge Zheng Wo discussed Leng Xue's wolf poison condition with Chu Limo and revealed Leng Xue's background to her. Zhui Ming discovered injured individuals at Shenhou Mansion, realizing someone had deliberately used blood scent to provoke Leng Xue's wolf nature.
Chu Limo then understood that Yu Chuntong was highly suspicious, but she hesitated to voice her concerns due to her lack of confidence in her Mind-reading skill's accuracy. Later, the Princess learned of Leng Xue's wolf poison and, not wishing Chu Limo to remain involved with him, plotted to bring her into the palace as a maid. To protect Chu Limo from this fate, Leng Xue pretended to order her confinement in a woodshed, hoping she would escape.
However, she was apprehended by Haitang and Hudie. These two women intended to punish Chu Limo, specifically by sewing her mouth shut, but none dared take the responsibility. Chu Limo cleverly used her skill to reveal their hidden thoughts, instigating a conflict between them. Seizing the opportunity created by their argument, Chu Limo managed to escape the woodshed.
On a dark and rainy night, Chu Limo inadvertently entered Wu Qing's room, finding him heavily intoxicated and repeatedly calling out Ruyan's name. Out of curiosity, Chu Limo used her Mind-reading skill to delve into his thoughts. She discovered that Wu Qing and a woman named Ruyan had been deeply in love. However, Ruyan's family compelled her to marry another man.
Wu Qing watched Ruyan's wedding procession, only for Ruyan to be discovered dead inside her sedan chair upon its arrival. She had committed suicide by cutting her wrist, leaving a pool of blood on the sedan chair's floor. Wu Qing, witnessing the tragic scene, opened the sedan chair to see the deceased Ruyan and cried out her name in profound despair, having been heartbroken and grieving ever since.
Resumen del episodio 13
In the capital, several young girls are brutally murdered overnight, their throats pierced by a thin object. Zhuge convenes the famous trappers—Leng Xue, Zhui Ming, Tie Shou, and Wu Qing—at Shenhou Mansion to investigate. Ji Yaohua briefs them on the cases, revealing that the victims were all young girls. The famous trappers suspect Wen Ruyu, a poison expert, of being responsible and begin an investigation to apprehend him.
Earlier, Zhuge had recommended Chu Limo to become a constable at Xianhe Company, managed by Ji Yaohua. Though Ji Yaohua was initially displeased, she reluctantly accepted Chu Limo due to Zhuge's recommendation, eventually feigning friendliness. Meanwhile, Yu Chuntong visits Wen Ruyu, requesting him to increase the potency of a Wuxiang medicine ointment.
Yu Chuntong then provides this enhanced medicine to Catch-Head Han, who frequently suffers from headaches, persuading him to use it to relieve his pain and making him dependent on the drug. Leng Xue's foster father, Prince Zhu, is attacked by a wolf tribe woman while hunting in the mountains. Leng Xue visits his foster father to check on his injuries, finding him safe and unharmed.
Leng Xue departs, pondering the reasons behind the attack and whether there are any wolf tribe survivors, as well as if his foster father is connected to the wolf tribe's extermination. Tie Shou is troubled by Ling Yiyi, who refuses to return home and insists on staying with him for life. He attempts to drive her away, even claiming he is a "Tiansha Guxing" (a jinx who would bring harm to her), but Yiyi remains resolute.
Desperate, Tie Shou seeks help from Zhui Ming. Zhui Ming takes Tie Shou to a brothel and arranges for several women to join him, hoping to make Ling Yiyi jealous and leave. Ling Yiyi follows them to the brothel, but to Tie Shou's surprise, she doesn't seem to mind. Nonetheless, Tie Shou, firm in his resolve to make her leave, hardens his heart and drinks with the brothel girls.
During their separate investigations into the murders, a commoner's daughter is again found murdered. Zhui Ming inspects the crime scene and witnesses the killer escaping. He gives chase, but the killer, possessing remarkable earth-burrowing skills and an ability to create illusions, proves to be incredibly fast, even outrunning Zhui Ming, who considers himself the fastest runner. Simultaneously, Tie Shou investigates another victim's home. The family leads him to the backyard, where they discover their daughter's soul ascending.
Tie Shou attempts to grasp the soul, but a mysterious white mist suddenly appears and carries the soul away. Upon returning to Shenhou Mansion, Tie Shou recounts his findings to Zhui Ming, and they both acknowledge the extraordinary abilities of the killer, including their speed, earth-burrowing, and illusions. Given the killer's formidable powers, Ji Yaohua gathers all female constables, deciding to use them as bait to lure the murderer out.
Haitang and Hudie specifically suggest using Chu Limo, who lacks martial arts, as the decoy. Chu Limo, despite the high risk, readily agrees to assist Ji Yaohua in drawing out the killer. That night, as Chu Limo acts as bait, a man infiltrates her room. Chu Limo, in a state of panic, signals her female companions hidden outside. Although her companions hear the distress signal, they remain motionless, intentionally refraining from intervening to rescue Chu Limo.
Separately, Wu Qing becomes deeply saddened and gets drunk over a woman named Ruyan. Chu Limo uses her mind-reading abilities to uncover details about Wu Qing and Ruyan's past. When Wu Qing awakens and discovers Chu Limo delving into his affairs, he becomes angry and dismisses her. Seeing Chu Limo being reprimanded, Zhui Ming approaches her to explain the situation and details Wu Qing and Ruyan's history.
After sobering up, Wu Qing apologizes to Chu Limo and encourages her to seek his help if she ever faces trouble. Chu Limo, no longer upset, grows to like Wu Qing even more.
Resumen del episodio 14
Ji Yaohua arranged for Chu Limo to lure Yuan Buxie, the murderer of capital girls. However, Ji Yaohua was then transferred, leaving two female constables, Haitang and Butterfly, on guard. When Chu Limo lured Yuan Buxie, her dagger proved useless, and she pulled an alarm. Haitang and Butterfly, positioned outside, deliberately ignored the alarm. Yuan Buxie attempted to assault Chu Limo and then almost did the same to Haitang and Butterfly after they finally entered.
Leng Xue arrived in time to drive Yuan Buxie away and took Chu Limo to safety. Ji Yaohua later learned of her subordinates' deliberate inaction and ordered them to reflect. She also attempted to explain to Leng Xue, but overheard him scolding her for failing to protect her subordinates, despite Chu Limo's attempts to defend her. This made Ji Yaohua deeply sad. Unrepentant, Haitang and Butterfly blamed Chu Limo for framing Ji Yaohua and sought to confront her.
News of the incident reached Zhuge, who, displeased with Ji Yaohua's arrangement of an unarmed Chu Limo to lure a killer, summoned her for a reprimand. Zhuge sternly reminded Ji Yaohua, leader of Xianhe Company, that her actions constituted severe dereliction of duty and cautioned her against repeating such errors. Ji Yaohua remorsefully admitted her mistake. Separately, Tie Shou and Zhui Ming were investigating the disappearances of girls.
Ling Yiyi led them to a mountain where bodies of murdered girls were found. Ling Yiyi recounted witnessing a group of girls being taken away by unidentified individuals, though she could not describe them due to fear. As Zhui Ming planned their return to Shenhou Mansion, Ling Yiyi proposed becoming a witness at Shenhou Mansion, an offer Zhui Ming suspected was a pretext to be with Tie Shou.
To thwart her, Zhui Ming arranged for her to report her account to a regular constable instead. Ling Yiyi later discovered two more captured girls who had committed suicide and whose bodies were discarded, which further perplexed Shenhou Mansion regarding the killer's motives. It was revealed that An Shigeng was capturing these girls to use their blood to create a hallucinogenic incense.
He then instructed Yu Chuntong to infiltrate the palace and steal the Jade Seal, an artifact capable of commanding vast armies, granting its possessor immense military power. Yu Chuntong used the hallucinogenic incense in the palace, causing eunuchs and guards to hallucinate, allowing him to easily obtain the Jade Seal. Yu Chuntong respectfully informed An Shigeng that he was now the Grand Marshal, an exchange overheard by Wen Ruyu, who realized the Jade Seal's potential to establish her dream kingdom.
Following the theft of the Jade Seal, Zhuge Zhengwo immediately dispatched Chu Limo and the famous trappers to investigate in the palace. Though fearful her identity might be exposed, Chu Limo cautiously accompanied them. The famous trappers found no direct clues on the bodies of the murdered eunuchs, but detected a peculiar hallucinogenic incense on them. Zhui Ming, accidentally inhaling some of the incense, immediately experienced vivid illusions of many beautiful women. Meanwhile, the wolf girl Nu Nu arrived in the capital, homeless and eating leftovers in a derelict temple, her thoughts returning to a massacre of her wolf tribe years ago.
Resumen del episodio 15
Nu Nu, a wolf clan woman, arrived penniless in the capital. Forced to use her strength to get food and treatment for her leg injury, she acquired food and medical care from a bun seller and a pharmacy. The famous trappers investigated the stolen jade seal case. At the palace, Zhui Ming found a bottle of strange fragrance near a tree. This fragrance, made from the blood of 49 young women, caused hallucinations of beautiful women.
Zhui Ming succumbed to the fragrance until a colleague subdued him. They discovered the victims of the jade seal theft had all inhaled the same fragrance before being killed. The famous trappers deduce the fragrance could only be made by the Wen family, and suspect Yu Chuntong is colluding with Wen Ruyu. They speculate about their motive for stealing the jade seal.
An Shigeng, grieving the loss of his beloved Diewu, whom he remembered as a talented singer and dancer, became obsessed with Ru Yan, who resembled her. An Shigeng sent people to propose marriage to Ru Yan, but her parents refused. He persisted until Ru Yan, to protect her family, reluctantly broke off her relationship with Wu Qing and married An Shigeng. Despite her resemblance to Diewu, An Shigeng was always aware that Ru Yan was not Diewu, and remained troubled.
Nu Nu, in a street altercation, was rescued by Leng Xue. She showed him a jade pendant she found after the wolf clan's massacre, implicating the perpetrator. She also admits she assassinated Zhu Wangye, whom she identifies as the wolf clan's killer. Leng Xue presented the jade pendant to Zhuge, who cautioned him against jumping to conclusions, reminding him that Zhu Wangye had saved him. Nu Nu attempted to kill Leng Xue's foster father, but Leng Xue stopped her.
She accused him of protecting his foster father and abandoning his clan's revenge. Leng Xue tried to reason with her, urging her not to act rashly, but she accused him of betraying his people. Meanwhile, Chu Li Mo discovered Yu Chuntong was the one who caused Leng Xue's wolf poison to flare up. An Shigeng obtained the jade seal, bringing him closer to avenging a great wrong.
Tie Shou, while tracking Wen Ruyu, was delayed by Yi Yi and lost Wen Ruyu. Yi Yi, upset at being disliked by Tie Shou, took her frustration out on a tree. Wen Ruyu, seeing her potential, decided to take her as a disciple to prepare for future events. Yi Yi, wishing to not disappoint Tie Shou, gladly accepted.
Resumen del episodio 16
Nu Nu arrives in the capital, determined to avenge the wolf tribe massacre, believing Leng Xue's adoptive father, Prince Zhu, is the culprit. Disregarding Leng Xue's words, she secretly leaves Shenhou Mansion and infiltrates Prince Zhu's Mansion to assassinate him. However, Leng Xue intervenes to protect his adoptive father. Nu Nu is defeated and, confronting Leng Xue, accuses him of not wanting revenge for the wolf tribe. Losing trust in him, she resolves to seek revenge alone.
Later, Yu Chuntong, upon seeing Nu Nu's unusual attire in the capital, which sets her apart from other city residents and includes wolf tribe clothing, suspects her of involvement in a local murder case and attempts to apprehend her for interrogation at Six Doors. Leng Xue appears, asserting that Nu Nu is his adopted sister. When Yu Chuntong refuses to release her, Leng Xue engages him in a fight, creating an opportunity for Nu Nu to escape.
However, Nu Nu falls into An Shigeng's hands. An Shigeng leverages Nu Nu's distrust of Leng Xue, inciting her to believe Leng Xue won't seek revenge because Prince Zhu is his adoptive father. An Shigeng promises to help Nu Nu eliminate Prince Zhu, and Nu Nu agrees to cooperate with him. Leng Xue finds Nu Nu again, but she no longer trusts his words and continues to obey An Shigeng, awaiting her chance for revenge.
An Shigeng provides Nu Nu with money, which she uses to repay several common folk. Later, An Shigeng assigns Nu Nu a group of subordinates to escort Ruyan out of the capital. During their journey, Nu Nu and her team take shelter in a civilian house. While her subordinates are feeding horses and preparing food, several of them suddenly collapse from poison.
Nu Nu realizes a master poisoner is at work, and even the four remaining subordinates by her side soon faint. Before Nu Nu can react, the laughter of an unknown man is heard from outside. Meanwhile, Yu Chuntong, who has taken over the affairs of Six Doors due to Han Long suffering from headaches caused by Yu Chuntong's medicine, leads his men to Shenhou Mansion to arrest Leng Xue.
Yu Chuntong intends to interrogate Leng Xue at Six Doors for obstructing his previous attempt to capture Nu Nu. However, Zhuge angrily demands Yu Chuntong provide proof of Leng Xue's extraordinary relationship with Nu Nu. Unable to produce evidence, Yu Chuntong is forced to depart. Wen Ruyu expresses her desire to leave An Shigeng and return to the Five Poisons Plume Sect.
An Shigeng, suspecting her of harboring a grand conspiracy and ulterior motives, offers her tea as a farewell gesture. Wen Ruyu feigns poor eyesight, causing the teacup to drop and break, making it impossible to drink from. She pretends to be regretful as she bids farewell. Despite An Shigeng having already forced her to ingest a poison, he also sprinkles colorless and odorless tracking water on her, subsequently dispatching Yu Chuntong to follow and investigate her movements.
Wen Ruyu eventually escapes Prince An's Mansion and flees to Longxi. Tieshou, one of the famous trappers, pursues Yi Yi but fails to locate Wen Ruyu, only finding her prescription at a pharmacy. He expresses self-reproach for this and hands the prescription over to Zhuge for further investigation. Zhuge convenes the famous trappers and instructs them to track Wen Ruyu, believing her capture is key to uncovering the truth behind the stolen Imperial Seal.
He further decides to send Chu Limo to accompany the famous trappers. Leng Xue advises Chu Limo to remain at Shenhou Mansion, but Chu Limo, steadfast in her resolve, insists on joining the investigation. Zhuge reveals to Chu Limo the reason for her mother Bian Hongyao's disappearance years ago, tasking her to investigate her mother's whereabouts in Longxi. He also warns her about Leng Xue's wolf poison, which further strengthens Chu Limo's determination to go.
Resumen del episodio 17
Zhuge Zhengwo suspected Wen Ruyu possessed the imperial seal and might be heading to Longxi to deploy troops, so he dispatched the famous trappers and Chu Limo to Longxi to track him. Zhuge Zhengwo also informed Chu Limo about her mother, Bian Hongyao, who had previously gone to Longxi to rescue her attacked lover, expressing hope that Chu Limo might find her mother there, and entrusted her with Bian Hongyao's gauze cicada dress.
Leng Xue was reluctant for Chu Limo to face such danger and tried to persuade her against going, but Chu Limo remained determined. On the day of departure, Chu Limo, having overslept because her window was covered with black cloth, rushed to catch up at the very last moment. Princess Ziluo arrived outside Shenhou Mansion, demanding to join the expedition to Longxi. She presented an emperor's token/golden plaque to command the group.
Leng Xue initially refused but, unable to defy the imperial decree, was forced to comply, which drew envy from Zhui Ming. Princess Ziluo then seized the opportunity to share a horse with Leng Xue. As Chu Limo could not ride a horse, Wu Qing invited her to ride with him.
During the journey, Chu Limo fell asleep on Wu Qing's back, and Leng Xue, observing this, felt a pang of jealousy towards Wu Qing, realizing he had developed different feelings for Chu Limo and that Wu Qing could get along with her in a way he could not. Wen Ruyu, after successfully evading Yu Chuntong, intended to use Ru Yan, Princess Consort An, to threaten An Shigeng. Since Ru Yan was protected by experts, Wen Ruyu poisoned her.
He then demanded an unspecified item from Nu Nu, who was unaware of what he sought. Wen Ruyu subsequently dispatched Ling Yiyi to confront Nu Nu. Nu Nu, skilled in combat, defeated Ling Yiyi, who then feigned unconsciousness. Wen Ruyu, without assisting Ling Yiyi, departed with his subordinates. Shortly after they left, Ling Yiyi opened her eyes and rose. Upon arrival, the famous trappers discovered that many people in Prince An's Mansion had been poisoned.
They found Ru Yan imprisoned within a purple cage. Wu Qing immediately recognized her as his former beloved, with whom he had once shared a deep mutual love. Distraught, Wu Qing desperately tried to open the purple cage to rescue Ru Yan, but the cage proved exceptionally sturdy, impenetrable, and resistant to all attempts, including internal energy, which was repelled.
Wu Qing could only remain by the cage, caring for Ru Yan, who remained emotionless, refusing to eat the food he offered or to speak to him. Ling Yiyi revealed that Ru Yan was afflicted with a strange poison. Having feigned fainting and been abandoned by Wen Ruyu, Ling Yiyi confessed she did not know the antidote for Wen Ruyu's "Thousand Wonders and Hundred Scents" poison but could disclose the various poisons used in its composition.
Hearing this, Wu Qing resolved to seek Wen Ruyu for the antidote. To save Ru Yan, Leng Xue and the others decided to go to the mountains to gather several herbs known to counteract the poison. Princess Ziluo persistently clung to Leng Xue, obstructing his efforts to collect herbs. Leng Xue eventually left her at the foot of the mountain, assigning Zhui Ming the task of looking after the difficult princess.
Meanwhile, Chu Limo and Ji Yaohua were in the kitchen boiling medicine. Ji Yaohua reminisced to Chu Limo about her past relationship with Leng Xue, describing them as an ideal couple before Chu Limo joined Shenhou Mansion, and recalled their time solving cases and traveling together. She then acknowledged a change in her relationship with Leng Xue since Chu Limo's arrival, sensing that Chu Limo was likely gaining Leng Xue's affection.
Resumen del episodio 18
The famous trappers converged on Iron Bi Mountain, where Wen Ruyu had strategically set a trap within the Five Poison Feathers stronghold. Earlier, Ji Yaohua, while gathering herbs on the mountain, experienced a nosebleed, which Chu Limo kindly noticed and advised her to rest, suggesting she not overwork.
Ji Yaohua and Chu Limo had a rare private conversation during which Ji Yaohua confided her deep feelings for Leng Xue, lamenting how five years of cultivating her affections seemed to have been altered by Chu Limo's arrival. Ji Yaohua believed Leng Xue held Chu Limo in high regard, otherwise he wouldn't be so upset with her.
Chu Limo, however, felt Ji Yaohua misunderstood her relationship with Leng Xue and secretly resolved not to do anything disloyal that would undermine Ji Yaohua's profound feelings for him. Leng Xue, Chu Limo, and Ji Yaohua later encountered Wen Ruyu. Wen Ruyu attacked them, injuring Ji Yaohua and striking Leng Xue. Leng Xue protected Chu Limo, taking the powerful blow himself.
As a result of Wen Ruyu's formidable palm strike, Leng Xue and Chu Limo were sent flying into the air and fell down a cliff. Leng Xue became poisoned and unconscious due to the fall, and in the intensely cold environment, Chu Limo dressed him in a plain gauze cicada robe. Ji Yaohua, who came from a prestigious family, was captured by Wen Ruyu.
Concurrently, Princess Ziluo, an imperial noble, was traveling by carriage with Zhui Ming into Iron Bi Mountain. Yuan Buxie, a flower thief, released numerous green snakes onto the road, surrounding them. Zhui Ming pursued Yuan Buxie, leaving Princess Ziluo behind. Yuan Buxie, however, returned and abducted Princess Ziluo. Princess Ziluo, confronted by Yuan Buxie's malicious smile and ill intentions, grew frightened and attempted to intimidate him with an imperial token, but he was unfazed.
Wu Qing suddenly appeared to rescue Princess Ziluo but was poisoned and injured in both eyes by Yuan Buxie, rendering him unable to see. Zhui Ming, prioritizing the injured Wu Qing, had to save him first, watching as Yuan Buxie successfully abducted Princess Ziluo and took her to a cave on Iron Bi Mountain.
Wen Ruyu, having captured Ji Yaohua, recognized her prestigious family background and planned for his son, Wen Wuchang, to marry her, thereby elevating the Wen family's status. Furthermore, Wen Ruyu decided to marry Princess Ziluo himself, aiming to become an imperial son-in-law. Yuan Buxie was greatly displeased by Wen Ruyu's plans, as he had personally captured Princess Ziluo with intentions of taking advantage of her, and Wen Ruyu's marriage arrangements shattered Yuan Buxie's ambitions.
Yuan Buxie viewed Wen Ruyu as nepotistic, favoring his own relatives, which led to his increasing discontent. Meanwhile, Wu Qing, blinded by poison, was determined to find an antidote for Ru Yin, whose life An Shige could only temporarily extend without truly saving her. Wu Qing insisted on going to Iron Bi Cliff to obtain the antidote from Wen Ruyu.
However, Zhui Ming, wary of the dangers and already dealing with Tie Shou's poisoning and Leng Xue's fall, intervened and forcefully prevented the blind Wu Qing from risking himself, keeping him at Tianning Inn. Separately, Ling Yiyi brought the poisoned and mute Tie Shou to the Five Poison Feathers stronghold on Iron Bi Mountain. She feigned allegiance to Wen Ruyu, lying that Tie Shou wished to join the Five Poison Feathers, in hopes that Wen Ruyu would cure him.
Wen Ruyu, skeptical of Ling Yiyi's loyalty, tested her by demanding she sever one of her arms within a specified time to serve as a medicinal ingredient for the Corpse Soul Pill antidote, for which he had found the formula. Ling Yiyi was shocked and unwilling to sacrifice her arm, but Wen Ruyu insisted on her obedience.
Resumen del episodio 19
Ji Yaohua and Princess Ziluo were captured by Wen Ruyu, though Princess Ziluo had originally been apprehended by Yuan Buxie. Wen Ruyu intended to marry Princess Ziluo, a plan that fueled Yuan Buxie's resentment, as he could not accept Wen Ruyu claiming Princess Ziluo as his own. Following her capture, Ji Yaohua became despondent when Leng Xue fell off a cliff, wishing he would wait for her in the afterlife. Leng Xue and Chu Limo, however, survived the fall.
Severely poisoned and having been struck by Wen Ruyu, Leng Xue found himself in an extremely cold environment. Chu Limo insisted that Leng Xue wear her Cicada Silk Garment, threatening to leave him if he refused. Unable to stop her in his weakened state, Leng Xue could only hold Chu Limo to resist the cold. Chu Limo then supported Leng Xue, leading him to a wooden cabin in the mountains, which was the residence of Bing'er.
Bing'er, a reclusive divine doctor and Wen Ruyu's niece, was paralyzed and unable to walk. Chu Limo gradually learned Bing'er's tragic past: Wen Ruyu had heartlessly broken her legs for personal gain, and specifically severed her tendons and imprisoned her beneath Iron Bi Cliff to prevent her, a member of a poison-making family, from creating an antidote for "Thousand Fragrances and Hundred Flavors." Bing'er had, however, already developed an antidote for "King of Hell's Palm" poison.
She successfully healed Leng Xue, reviving him, and also removed damp poison from Chu Limo. Bing'er informed Leng Xue that Chu Limo was the main hero, as her Cicada Silk Garment had saved his life. Leng Xue, recovering and realizing his feelings, stopped hiding his emotions and explicitly told Chu Limo that he cared for her. Meanwhile, Princess Ziluo was imprisoned in a room.
Yuan Buxie, angered by Wen Ruyu and his son's greed for wealth and women, came to the room, intending to sexually assault Princess Ziluo and become her consort. However, Wen Wuchang interrupted him. Yuan Buxie, without hesitation, unexpectedly stabbed and killed Wen Wuchang. Princess Ziluo, witnessing Wen Wuchang's death, was terrified and trembled uncontrollably. Yuan Buxie then decided to destroy the body to conceal the murder. Zhui Ming infiltrated Iron Bi Mountain in search of Princess Ziluo.
He found her in her room, and she, overjoyed, nonetheless scolded him for his tardiness. After calming Princess Ziluo, Zhui Ming set out to find Ji Yaohua and Tie Shou. Separately, when Wen Ruyu attempted to seize Ling Yiyi's arm, she fought back with her newly learned poison palm technique but proved to be no match for him.
Wen Ruyu revealed to Ling Yiyi that her "Five Poisons Manual" was merely a copy, requiring her to consume scorpion venom daily to survive, otherwise she would bleed from her seven orifices and die, concluding that her arm was destined to be his. Wen Ruyu then arranged a wedding for Wen Wuchang and Ji Yaohua. However, Wen Wuchang, already murdered by Yuan Buxie, did not appear.
Unaware of his son's death, Wen Ruyu assumed Wen Wuchang was delayed by important matters. Yuan Buxie seized the opportunity to propose marrying Ji Yaohua in Wen Wuchang's place, but Wen Ruyu unceremoniously rejected his offer. Though Yuan Buxie appeared respectful on the surface, he secretly harbored intense hatred for Wen Ruyu. At the auspicious hour, with Wen Wuchang still absent, Wen Ruyu intended to marry both Princess Ziluo and Ji Yaohua himself.
However, Tie Shou had already rescued Ji Yaohua and Princess Ziluo, and they intercepted pursuers in a trap previously set by Zhui Ming. Zhui Ming also rescued Ling Yiyi, narrowly escaping an ambush laid by Wen Ruyu. Leng Xue arrived just in time to confront Wen Ruyu, who then released several eagles to attack him. Chu Limo, utilizing her Mind-reading skill, successfully turned the eagles against Wen Ruyu's subordinates.
In the ensuing chaos, Yuan Buxie seized the opportunity to injure Wen Ruyu. Wen Ruyu, wounded and subsequently poisoned by the eagles, lay dying on the ground. Ling Yiyi refused to treat him. A mysterious masked man watched Leng Xue interrogate Wen Ruyu from a distance.
Resumen del episodio 20
In a critical situation, Chu Limo used her Mind-reading skill to communicate with birds, turning them against the Five Poisons Sect. To save himself, Yuan Buxie injured Wen Ruyu, using him as a shield against the birds, and revealed that he had killed Wen Wuchang before escaping. Wen Ruyu, seeking an antidote for his claw poison, asked Yiyi for help, but she refused. Zhui Ming then took the Five Poisons Manual from Wen Ruyu.
Before Wen Ruyu could reveal who took the Imperial Seal to save his life, An Shigeng killed him with his Bone-Locking Dark Palm. During this time, Wú Hén carried Chu Limo away. Leng Xue, anxious over Chu Limo's disappearance, transformed into a werewolf, uncontrollably harming people due to his wolf toxin. Aware of Leng Xue's dangerous state, Wú Hén decided to bring Chu Limo to him to prevent further harm. Leng Xue frantically ran towards Chu Limo.
Fearing his uncontrolled wolf toxin, Chu Limo attempted to use her Mind-reading skill, but it proved ineffective. Leng Xue grabbed Chu Limo, and as her tears fell into his hand, he realized she was the person he loved most in his life, which immediately caused his wolf toxin to disappear. Seeing her tear-streaked face, Leng Xue felt immense pain. At that moment, Wú Hén ambushed Leng Xue, causing him to spit blood.
Chu Limo embraced Leng Xue, begging Wú Hén not to kill him, and Leng Xue saw them embracing. Meanwhile, a Princess embraced Leng Xue upon seeing him, causing Chu Limo to feel deeply upset. Leng Xue left the Princess, taking Chu Limo's hand to rescue Wen Bing'er. Wen Bing'er ultimately decided to remain in the valley to focus on developing an antidote, choosing not to seek her second uncle.
Leng Xue and Chu Limo then returned to the inn to save others. Chu Limo later fainted due to unresolved damp-heat poison, and Leng Xue, very anxious, carried her back to rest. Ji Yaohua realized that her long-standing feelings for Leng Xue had come to an end. Despite advice from Haitang and Hudie to give up on Leng Xue, he was the only one she had ever loved, and she found herself unable to let go.
Separately, Yiyi had developed an addiction to her Yanluo Palm poison. She did not want to become an evil poison user but was unable to control her addiction. Yiyi tried to hide this from Tieshou, but he eventually discovered it. Tieshou felt even more guilty, knowing that Yiyi's condition was for his sake. Nunu insisted on guarding Ruyin, forbidding anyone from approaching.
Wuqing also insisted on guarding Ruyin, and Nunu eventually agreed to let him enter and exit the room alone. While delivering medicine to Ruyin, An Shigeng discovered that Wuqing was the man Ruyin had deeply loved for many years. The Princess later attempted to occupy Chu Limo's room to get closer to Leng Xue, but Leng Xue had Chu Limo move into his own room instead, which greatly displeased the Princess, Haitang, and others.
The Princess verbally threatened Chu Limo, making her understand that she was not at all compatible with Leng Xue, while Haitang and Hudie tricked Chu Limo out of Leng Xue's room and pressured her to reveal what had happened inside. With his wolf toxin gone, Leng Xue and Chu Limo eventually went on to live ordinary lives.
Resumen del episodio 21
Leng Xue and Chu Limo were sharing a room and speaking ambiguously, which greatly angered Princess Ziluo, Haitang, and Hudie. Princess Ziluo returned to her room in a furious rage. Zhui Ming tried to comfort her by bringing her many of her favorite foods, which touched her deeply, but she remained angry that Leng Xue did not treat her with such kindness.
Princess Ziluo promised Zhui Ming that she would adopt his future children as godchildren, granting them the honor and status of royalty. Believing Chu Limo had seduced Leng Xue, Haitang and Hudie decided to teach her a lesson. They tricked Chu Limo into leaving her residence at night. Downstairs, the three encountered Wu Hen, who dazed Haitang and Hudie. Wu Hen then acupointed Chu Limo and carried her to a ruined temple, intending to violate her.
Fortunately, Ji Yaohua arrived in time, saving Chu Limo and killing Wu Hen. Chu Limo, overcome by fright, fainted. Seeing Chu Limo, Ji Yaohua was tempted to kill her, believing it would pave the way for her to be with Leng Xue, her unrequited love. However, as a constable of Shenhou Mansion, she realized she had a duty to uphold justice and protect the weak.
She understood that if she committed murder, she would no longer be qualified to serve as a constable. Ultimately, Ji Yaohua refrained from harming Chu Limo. When Chu Limo regained consciousness, she expressed gratitude for being saved. Ji Yaohua then made Chu Limo promise never to fall in love with Leng Xue. Chu Limo accepted the condition and returned to her dwelling.
Upon learning that Chu Limo had ventured out alone and was nearly violated by Wu Hen, Leng Xue became furious, yelling at her and expressing his anger that she almost lost her chastity. Chu Limo, angered by his outburst, argued back. Leng Xue suddenly embraced and kissed Chu Limo, who did not push him away. After the kiss, they gazed deeply into each other's eyes.
Leng Xue sternly warned Chu Limo to simply follow his instructions and declared that he would no longer allow anyone to harm her. He demanded that Chu Limo wear his clothes and disguise herself as a man from then on. When Chu Limo appeared wearing Leng Xue's clothes, both Ji Yaohua and Princess Ziluo were enraged. Princess Ziluo even attempted to forcibly remove Chu Limo's garments.
Leng Xue, in front of everyone, declared that he would not pursue past grievances, but anyone who dared to harm Chu Limo again would have him to answer to. Ignoring Princess Ziluo, Leng Xue took Chu Limo away, instructing her to use her Mind-reading skill to wake Ru Yan and have her drink an antidote. Ru Yan was suffering from a mysterious poison, refusing to eat or drink.
Leng Xue distracted Nu Nu, allowing Chu Limo to enter Ru Yan's room. Using her Mind-reading skill, Chu Limo entered an illusion where she found Ru Yan controlled by an old man. The old man coldly prevented Chu Limo from helping Ru Yan within the illusion, making it impossible for her to communicate with Ru Yan. Chu Limo escaped the illusion and returned to reality, realizing she would need to wait for another opportunity, possibly by using a "dream-entering method."
Nu Nu appeared and, not appreciating their efforts to help Ru Yan, demanded that Leng Xue and Chu Limo leave. As per Zhuge Zhengwo's instructions, the Four Great Constables were preparing to transport Ru Yan to Longxi, prompting An Shigeng to instruct Nu Nu to follow them on their journey. Separately, Ji Yaohua, still heartbroken by her unrequited love for Leng Xue, went to the Peach Blossom Temple to pray for a romantic match.
There, An Shigeng, disguised as an ordinary young master, approached and chatted with her. Later, at an inn, Ji Yaohua was drinking "worry-relieving wine" to drown her sorrows. An Shigeng arrived at the inn and immediately recognized the wine as a remedy for lovesickness. Noticing Ji Yaohua's troubled expression due to her bitter unrequited love for Leng Xue, An Shigeng sat down with her and advised her not to continue her one-sided devotion to her beloved.
Resumen del episodio 22
Ji Yaohua sat drinking in an inn when An Shigeng arrived and joined her. Ji Yaohua had previously encountered An Shigeng in a temple, but had refused to reveal her name when he inquired, claiming they were merely passing acquaintances. Chu Limo, using her Mind-reading skill, attempted to rescue Ru Yan from an illusion. Leng Xue assisted by acupuncturing Nu Nu and taking Chu Limo to Ru Yan's room.
Chu Limo entered the illusion again, and with Leng Xue's internal energy, she managed to defeat an old man who tried to stop her and speak with Ru Yan. Chu Limo knew Ru Yan's background, having previously read Wu Qing's thoughts: Ru Yan had died in a sedan chair due to a forced marriage, after which An Shigeng rescued her following her suicide, causing her to "resurrect."
Ru Yan had been controlled by An Shigeng's mind control skill, which could manipulate thoughts, leaving her trapped in a purple cage like a statue. When Chu Limo tried to free Ru Yan from this control, An Shigeng discovered them and used an "evil god" to control Ru Yan once more. Ru Yan, fearing Chu Limo would be burned by the evil god, urged her to leave.
However, Chu Limo insisted on staying, understanding that Wu Qing's suffering was far greater. Wu Qing then increased his power, enabling Chu Limo to finally defeat the evil god and completely break An Shigeng's mind control skill. Ru Yan awakened, cleared of the control. She then opened the purple cage, revealing an imperial seal. Nu Nu immediately ran to report this discovery to An Shigeng.
Ru Yan, knowing she was deeply poisoned and did not have much time, told Chu Limo the reason she married An Shigeng and entrusted Wu Qing to Chu Limo's care after her death. An Shigeng had been using Nu Nu for his plans of rebellion, having made her consume a Corpse Soul Pill which necessitated her regularly obtaining an antidote from him.
Nu Nu, upon realizing An Shigeng had deceived her and no longer wishing to be exploited, decided to leave him. Later, while walking in the mountains, she suffered a poison attack. An Shigeng, aware that the imperial seal had fallen into the hands of the Four Great Constables, decided to return to the capital ahead of them to prepare an ambush for their arrival. At night, Ling Yiyi planned to continue using toxins to treat the poison in her body.
Tie Shou appeared and took her for a walk in the courtyard. Tie Shou told Ling Yiyi that their relationship was just like Wu Qing and Ru Yan's. However, this did not cheer Ling Yiyi; instead, it saddened her. Knowing she was afflicted with potent poison, Ling Yiyi feared being called a "poisonous woman" who might impact Tie Shou and the Four Great Constables, and thus felt unworthy of him.
She decided to leave him and secretly wrote a farewell letter. Tie Shou, unaware of her thoughts, returned to his room and went to sleep. Ling Yiyi then placed the letter beside him. Upon waking, Tie Shou discovered and read the letter, realizing Ling Yiyi had left without saying goodbye. Anxious, he immediately got out of bed and went to search for her. He found Ling Yiyi on the street, where she had witnessed a young couple affectionately embracing.
He chased after her and stopped her. Tie Shou declared that he did not care about others' opinions and only wished to be with her and face everything together. Ling Yiyi, whose mood was complex, finally agreed to stay, allowing Tie Shou to embrace her. The day finally came for Wu Qing to have the bandages removed from his injured eyes. Ru Yan watched with anticipation as the bandages were taken off.
Wu Qing then opened his eyes and looked towards Ru Yan. The Four Great Constables were now in possession of the imperial seal. Tie Shou and the others then set out to scout for the shortest and safest route back to the capital. A princess, in a fit of anger, kicked over a fortune teller's signboard. The fortune teller asserted the accuracy of his divinations, prompting the princess to ask him to foretell her marriage prospects.
The fortune teller advised the princess to depart, stating that if her intended suitor truly cared, he would pursue her, and she should go as far as possible. The princess, pleased with this suggestion, happily left.
Resumen del episodio 23
Nu Nu leaves An Shigeng, unwilling to be complicit in his rebellion. However, having consumed An Shigeng's 'corpse soul pill,' she suffers from its effects and faints. An Shigeng rescues her. Realizing he possesses the antidote and can aid her revenge, she pledges her loyalty to him once more. Princess Ziluo, in a moment of unhappiness, either kicks over a fortune teller's sign or approaches him directly. He notices her opulent clothing.
When he initially hesitates to tell her fortune, she offers a jade pendant from her person; the fortune teller, recognizing its value, agrees to tell her fortune. He advises her to "walk as far as she can" to test her love interest's concern or incites her to leave. Princess Ziluo decides to leave secretly. Zhui Ming is the first to discover her disappearance and searches for her.
She walks for a long time, struggling and falling into a pit, and becomes hungry. She leaves her hair ornaments as markers, fearing Leng Xue won't know her whereabouts. Eventually, Zhui Ming finds her, which disappoints her. With a sprained ankle, she refuses to be carried back to the capital by Zhui Ming, demanding a carriage. Zhui Ming can only find a passing donkey cart, which she dislikes.
She exchanges valuable jewelry or ornaments for food at a stall as she has no money. Ling Yiyi attempts to leave Tie Shou, seeking to travel far away. Tie Shou finds her on the street and sincerely embraces her, despite her stated desire not to be with him anymore. Meanwhile, the Four Great Constables had previously scouted a route through Daxingyan.
Wu Qing's eyesight is restored, bringing him great joy at seeing Ru Yan, whom he has many things to say to. Ru Yan, sensing her approaching death, asks Chu Limo to care for Wu Qing after she's gone, acknowledging his loyalty and righteousness. Wu Qing decides to leave the Divine Constabulary to spend his remaining days with Ru Yan, reminding Leng Xue and Chu Limo to cherish their loved ones.
However, as they walk in the mountains or prepare to depart, they are ambushed by Nu Nu and An Shigeng's men, who intend to seize the Imperial Seal. In the ensuing chaos, Ru Yan pushes Chu Limo away, taking two arrows for her, and dies. Before dying, she reiterates her plea to Chu Limo to remember her words and care for Wu Qing.
An Shigeng then uses his formidable skills to take Ru Yan's body from Wu Qing, who, grief-stricken, chases after him but is knocked off a cliff. Chu Limo, who was initially holding the Imperial Seal, becomes a target for An Shigeng's men. After Ru Yan's sacrifice, the Imperial Seal falls into Leng Xue's hands, and Chu Limo falls into Nu Nu's hands. Leng Xue and Nu Nu negotiate, with Leng Xue exchanging the Imperial Seal for Chu Limo.
Despite this exchange or during a tense moment, Chu Limo manages to push Nu Nu, but accidentally loses her footing and falls off the cliff. Leng Xue rushes to the cliff edge, grief-stricken, watching her fall. Chu Limo miraculously survives the fall and is found below the cliff by three colorfully dressed individuals who identify her as being from the Central Plains. Leng Xue later brings the Imperial Seal back to the Divine Constabulary.
He expresses a desire to find the three missing individuals: Chu Limo, Wu Qing, and Ji Yaohua (who went missing after being knocked into a river by Yu Chuntong). However, Zhuge Zhengwo advises waiting until the Imperial Seal has been returned to the Emperor and An Shigeng has been exposed.
Resumen del episodio 24
An Shigeng attempted to use Ru Yan to smuggle the jade seal, but the famous trappers foiled his plan. Ru Yan lost her life, making An Shigeng suffer a double loss. He then visited the room where Ru Yan's body was kept, reminiscing about Diewu, who looked extremely similar to Ru Yan. An Shigeng seemed infatuated, murmuring to himself beside Ru Yan's body. Meanwhile, Moerchi and Muxue of the Qingge Tribe rescued Chu Limo near a cliff.
Because Chu Limo was wearing men's clothing, the Qingge Tribe mistakenly believed she was male. The Qingge Tribe was very interested in Chu Limo, who came from the Central Plains, a world unknown to them. She briefly described the customs and practices of the Central Plains to them. She was unharmed due to wearing a silken garment. Ji Yaohua woke up in a strange room, having been brought back to An Wang's residence by Yu Chuntong.
Several maids came to serve her, bringing basins and towels. Ji Yaohua removed her clothes and entered a wooden tub to bathe. An Shigeng, using the alias Geng Jun, had written a letter to Ji Yaohua, claiming he saved her and telling her to recover in the residence. Ji Yaohua, having met An Shigeng several times, trusted him after reading the letter and stayed to recover.
An Shigeng planned to heal her injuries and recruit her to his cause for his own benefit. The failure of the jade seal transport left An Shigeng puzzled as he didn't know who had broken his mind control technique, only that Bian Hongyao was the only one in the world who knew mind-reading. Muxue wanted to learn to write Central Plains characters from Chu Limo, who taught her how to write her name.
Muxue looked at the brushstrokes on the white paper with delight. Later, Chu Limo was changing clothes in the room when Muxue walked in and discovered she was a woman. Chu Limo confessed she was disguised as a man. Muxue couldn't understand why Chu Limo had deceived them, but after Chu Limo explained her reasons, Muxue forgave her and they became close friends.
Wu Qing woke up in a forest with no memory of who he was or where he was. He found a water jar and, being thirsty, drank from it and rested. A small boy approached, curious about the jade flute Wu Qing held. Wu Qing refused to trade the flute for a fruit, but the boy gave him the fruit anyway. Wu Qing ate the fruit, and the boy curiously examined the flute.
Leng Xue sat by the bed, thinking about Chu Limo, who had fallen off a cliff and whose fate was unknown. Zhuge temporarily assigned Ye'er to care for Leng Xue, who was distraught over Chu Limo's possible death. Ye'er understood his feelings. Leng Xue asked Ye'er to leave so he could be alone, and Ye'er left, also missing Chu Limo. The Qingge Tribe held a ceremony to appoint the prince.
The tribal elder had three sons, and Moerchi was his second son. The tribal elder announced Moerchi as the prince. In his excitement, Moerchi offered Muxue to Chu Limo in marriage. Zhuge Zhengwo planned to return the jade seal and expose An Shigeng's crimes, but before he could see the emperor, they caught the culprit, Wen Ruyu, whom they thought was dead.
Wen Ruyu had been sprinkled with bone-dissolving powder, which would cause him to dissolve upon contact with water or alcohol. Zhuge Zhengwo believed larger events would follow. Leng Xue remained in his room, depressed over Chu Limo's fate. Zhui Ming and Tie Shou were worried about the missing Wu Qing and Chu Limo, leaving the Divine Authority looking desolate.
Resumen del episodio 25
Leng Xue is deeply affected by Chu Limo's apparent fall off a cliff, isolating himself in his room, missing her, and remaining silent and distant towards others. The Shenhou Mansion is exceptionally bleak during the Mid-Autumn Festival, as everyone is distressed by the unknown fates of Wu Qing, Ji Yaohua, and Chu Limo. Zhui Ming and other constables burn paper money in the courtyard, praying for the three missing individuals.
Despite it being the full moon, Leng Xue's wolf venom does not flare up. That night, Leng Xue encounters An Shigeng, who attempts to kill him. Nu Nu suddenly appears, interposing herself to block An Shigeng's fatal palm strike and save Leng Xue. Mortally wounded, Nu Nu urges Leng Xue not to forget the Wolf Tribe's hatred and to avenge his people before she dies.
Leng Xue, distraught, wants to take her back to Shenhou Mansion for treatment, but Nu Nu knows her time is short and dies in his presence. Meanwhile, Chu Limo finds herself in the Qingge Tribe. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, a homesick Chu Limo sits on the grass, gazing at the moon, missing Leng Xue and her friends from Shenhou Mansion. Moerchi joins her, and Chu Limo recounts the family reunion traditions of Central Plains festivals.
Moerchi, upon becoming Crown Prince, joyously announces his intention to marry his sister Muxue to Chu Limo. Muxue, knowing Chu Limo is a woman, objects. Initially, Moerchi believes Muxue's objection stems from her own fondness for Chu Limo and asks for her support. With no other option, Muxue reveals Chu Limo's true female identity. Moerchi is surprised by this revelation. Despite learning the truth, Moerchi doesn't blame Chu Limo; instead, he becomes good friends with her and shows great care.
Her image lingers in his mind, leading Muxue to conclude he has fallen in love with Chu Limo. Moerchi even confesses his love for Chu Limo to Muxue. Chu Limo decides to leave the Qingge Tribe. However, Moerchi, who is to hold his enthronement ceremony in ten days, is reluctant for her to leave. Muxue also helps persuade Chu Limo to stay until the ceremony, to which Chu Limo eventually agrees.
During a walk (or intended visit to the granary) with Chu Limo, Moerchi and Chu Limo encounter three masked assassins. One assassin throws a scimitar, cutting the cloth binding Chu Limo's hair and revealing her female features. Moerchi reveals he already knew she was a woman and expresses his special affection, intending to find an opportunity to announce her female identity to the entire Qingge Tribe.
In a separate incident, Ling Yiyi is seen practicing her skills with venomous insects in her room. Ye'er, upon entering, mistakenly believes Ling Yiyi has been bitten and proceeds to kill the crawling insects, much to Ling Yiyi's dismay. Ye'er later returns to serve Leng Xue, who is still despondent over Chu Limo. Ye'er recounts her experience of witnessing Ling Yiyi being "bitten" by the insects.
Leng Xue, preoccupied with his own concerns, instructs Ye'er not to meddle in others' affairs. Ji Yaohua later returns safely to Shenhou Mansion. One day, as Leng Xue and Ji Yaohua are about to leave for an errand, Princess Ziluo attempts to prevent Leng Xue from departing. Leng Xue takes advantage of the moment when Zhui Ming tries to reason with Princess Ziluo and quietly slips away. Enraged, Princess Ziluo orders Zhui Ming to pursue Leng Xue.
Resumen del episodio 26
Ji Yaohua returned to Shenhou Mansion. Leng Xue decided to find Wu Qing and Chu Limo, and Ji Yaohua insisted on accompanying him. Leng Xue agreed and was very grateful for her understanding that feelings cannot be forced, as she only wanted to help him find their friends. Princess Ziluo forbade Leng Xue from finding Chu Limo.
Zhui Ming, seeing Princess Ziluo's deep affection for Leng Xue and unable to bear her actions, scolded her, telling her not to use her princess authority to force Leng Xue. Zhui Ming later cursed Princess Ziluo at the Shenhou Mansion entrance.
Tie Shou advised him to apologize soon, but Zhui Ming resolutely refused, swearing he would not do so even if ordered by the emperor, and would commit suicide within three days if he initiated reconciliation or goodwill towards the princess. In the Qingge Tribe, Xiao Ding was found by human traffickers. Wu Qing tried to rescue him but was also captured. Wu Qing, who had amnesia, was then brought to the Qingge Tribe market to be sold as a slave.
Chu Limo, accompanied by Muxue, discovered Wu Qing being auctioned by an old man. Chu Limo was surprised and questioned Wu Qing, but he did not recognize her at all due to his amnesia. Chu Limo brought Wu Qing back to her residence to care for him.
However, Moerchi disapproved of Chu Limo bringing an outsider to live in the tribe and worried that the amnesiac Wu Qing might harm Chu Limo, so Muxue took Wu Qing to stay temporarily at her place. After eating and changing into clean clothes, Wu Qing appeared graceful and handsome, which pleasantly surprised Muxue, who praised his distinguished appearance. Chu Limo told Muxue stories about Wu Qing, further increasing Muxue's admiration for him. Moerchi gave Chu Limo a curved saber.
During the Qingge Tribe's Buyilan Festival, Moerchi prepared a tribal outfit for Chu Limo and confessed his feelings for her, even offering to change Qingge Tribe rules for her. Chu Limo stated she had someone she loved and rejected his kindness, expressing her desire to return to the Central Plains to see Leng Xue. Moerchi became displeased and told her not to mention Leng Xue's name again.
Despite her rejection, Moerchi still placed a golden saber in Chu Limo's hand, believing she would eventually fall in love with him. Later, Moerchi enthusiastically tried to take Chu Limo to admire Weituo flowers, but she suspiciously declined, using the excuse of wanting to hear Muxue tell stories. Moerchi then patiently sat at the table and listened to Muxue's stories. Meanwhile, Leng Xue and Ji Yaohua were searching for Chu Limo in the mountains.
Yu Chuntong, accompanied by a subordinate, tracked them. An Shigeng had dispatched Yu Chuntong to seize an opportunity to obtain Leng Xue's blood and to capture Leng Xue alive. Knowing his martial arts were inferior to Leng Xue's and that he could not confront him directly, Yu Chuntong cleverly enticed Leng Xue into a duel. Leng Xue defeated Yu Chuntong, who then proudly took his leave.
However, during the fight, Yu Chuntong had used a wooden block full of fine needles to stab Leng Xue, severely poisoning him and causing him great pain. Ji Yaohua, initially unaware of Leng Xue's severe injury and poisoning, helped him to a cave to temporarily stay. Leng Xue's condition was critical, severely poisoned beyond medical help. Ji Yaohua found a doctor, who, after examining Leng Xue's symptoms, advised her to seek help from Lady Dao, an extraordinary physician skilled in breaking various strange poisons.
Resumen del episodio 27
Leng Xue fell into Yu Chuntong's trap, struck by a hidden weapon and poisoned. A doctor determined that Leng Xue would not survive more than a month, and the only hope was to seek out the reclusive divine doctor, Dao Furen, in Luanhua Valley. Ji Yaohua bravely took Leng Xue to a cave and then ventured to Luanhua Valley to find Dao Furen, known for her ability to cure the most potent poisons.
Dao Furen, residing in a wooden house in Luanhua Valley, harbored a deep hatred for all men, stemming from a betrayal by her beloved years ago. Initially, she refused to treat Leng Xue, even proposing that Ji Yaohua cut her face with seven or eight knives as a condition. Ji Yaohua was prepared to disfigure herself, but Dao Furen stopped her, not wanting her to sacrifice herself for a man.
Dao Furen shared her own story and the origin of her scars, but Ji Yaohua offered no sympathy, instead delivering a blunt rebuke that spurred Dao Furen to finally agree to help. Ji Yaohua then carried the severely poisoned and dying Leng Xue to Dao Furen's wooden house in Luanhua Valley. As Dao Furen worked to expel the poison from his body, the unconscious Leng Xue called out Chu Limo's name.
Realizing Leng Xue's heart belonged to another, Dao Furen's long-held hatred resurfaced, and she sought to kill Leng Xue with a palm strike. Ji Yaohua, consumed by a similar profound affection, bravely intervened, stopping Dao Furen and declaring that her devotion was willingly given, without seeking a perfect ending, only wishing to remain by Leng Xue's side. Dao Furen, still resentful, angrily left Ji Yaohua, but Leng Xue's condition improved under Ji Yaohua's care, and he soon regained consciousness.
Meanwhile, Wu Qing suffered from amnesia, unable to recall his identity or background. Chu Limo attempted to jog his memory by showing him portraits of Shenhou Mansion and the Four Great Constables and recounting details of his past, but to no avail. One evening, as Chu Limo and Wu Qing listened to Muxue tell a story about a general (specifically, a general with amnesia, or the Ever-Victorious General), Moerchi arrived, intending to take Chu Limo out to appreciate flowers.
Chu Limo politely declined, using Muxue's storytelling as an excuse. Moerchi stayed to listen, but soon fell asleep, much to Wu Qing's surprise. Upon being woken by Muxue, Moerchi feigned enjoyment and asked for another story. Later, Chu Limo and Muxue sought the advice of a divine doctor regarding Wu Qing's amnesia. The divine doctor suggested hitting Wu Qing's head with a small wooden hammer, believing it might restore his memory. Muxue began slowly tapping Wu Qing's head.
Moerchi approached, curious, and upon learning the reason, hatched a plan to take the hammer and "teach Wu Qing a lesson." Despite Chu Limo's worries that he might harm Wu Qing, Moerchi ignored her warnings and took the hammer. His first strike was light, but on the second, he secretly exerted great force, hitting Wu Qing's head hard. Wu Qing nearly fainted from the blow. Chu Limo immediately rushed to support him. During a brief period of unconsciousness, Wu Qing unexpectedly recalled some past events.
Resumen del episodio 28
The Emperor's severe illness led the Empress Dowager to appoint King Xiang as regent. King Xiang, who shared a long-standing friendship with An Shigeng, immediately sought out his nephew, An Shigeng, whom he hadn't seen in years. An Shigeng visited King Xiang in the palace, reminiscing about old times. King Xiang, now regent, hoped An Shigeng would assist him in governing the nation and even suggested An Shigeng change his surname to Zhu.
An Shigeng feigned reluctance but subtly hinted at collusion between Prince Zhu and Zhuge Zhengwo, while secretly planning to seize sole power over the entire palace. Zhuge Zhengwo worried that the Divine Constabulary would become a target due to King Xiang and An Shigeng's close relationship. Meanwhile, a severely injured Qingge tribesman appeared before Chu Limo, collapsing to the ground.
Moerchi rushed out to check on his tribesman, who, before dying, warned Moerchi to beware of ill-intentioned people, as someone was plotting against him. Moerchi immediately suspected his elder brother and third brother. Chu Limo cautioned Moerchi not to suspect family members without evidence, and Moerchi, displeased, demanded that Chu Limo keep the incident secret.
Later, an attempt was made on Moerchi's life when Golden Armored Divine Worms were secretly applied to the auspicious robes he was to wear for his enthronement. Remembering the previous assassination attempt, Moerchi again believed his elder brother or third brother were responsible. Zhui Ming was at odds with Princess Ziluo, the woman he deeply loved despite their outward conflict, but Jiaoniang urged him to reconcile with her.
Tie Shou tried to cheer up a dispirited Zhui Ming by inviting him to go shopping. During their outing, Ling Yiyi deliberately fed Tie Shou candied haws in front of Zhui Ming, causing Zhui Ming to become annoyed and leave. On Ling Yiyi's birthday, Tie Shou intended to buy her a gift, but Zhui Ming firmly stopped him, citing his own conflict with Princess Ziluo and not wanting Tie Shou to repeat his mistakes.
Ling Yiyi was initially upset about not receiving a gift but laughed after Tie Shou explained Zhui Ming's reasoning. Later, Tie Shou took Ling Yiyi to dinner and bought her a gift, which she happily showed off to Zhui Ming.
Zhui Ming, angered by Ling Yiyi's mockery that the Princess didn't cherish him but she would cherish Tie Shou, warned Tie Shou not to regret it, prompting Ling Yiyi to continue criticizing Zhui Ming and the Princess, driving him to near frenzy. Tie Shou also took time to teach Ling Yiyi how to identify thieves.
On one occasion, while they were catching thieves on the street, Ling Yiyi used a poisonous attack that resulted in the death of one of the thieves. Tie Shou was greatly displeased, believing she had not reformed and was still a ruthless woman, comparing her actions to the deceased Wen Ruyu's cruel personality. Ling Yiyi felt wronged and tried to defend herself, but Tie Shou was too disappointed to listen.
Leng Xue struggled with his body, unable to grip his sword due to toxins. Ji Yaohua came to comfort him, but Leng Xue, frustrated by his loss of power, yelled at her. Ji Yaohua remained steadfast, embracing him, though Leng Xue ignored her comfort, consumed by resentment over his inability to recover. Madam Dao informed Leng Xue that his full recovery might take several months. Separately, Wu Qing showed signs of memory recovery.
Chu Limo updated him on recent events, but Wu Qing could not recall Ruyan or matters concerning An Shigeng. The effort of trying to remember caused him severe head pain, leading him to faint.
Resumen del episodio 29
King Xiang has assumed the role of regent and seeks An Shigeng's counsel on court affairs, intending for him to acknowledge his lineage and assist in managing the state. An Shigeng, King Xiang's nephew, who has not met his uncle in years, outwardly displays respect but secretly schemes to replace King Xiang and seize power, aiming to make the Forbidden City his own.
He informs King Xiang that Zhuge Zhengwo and Prince Zhu are in close contact, seemingly involved in internal and external collusion, while inwardly plotting a rebellion. Zhui Ming attempts to reconcile with Princess Ziluo. To test her jealousy, he dances with two palace maids in a palace. Princess Ziluo does not react with jealousy but leaves with a dark expression.
Jiaoniang mediates, first speaking highly of Princess Ziluo to Zhui Ming, urging him not to quarrel, and then persuading Princess Ziluo to show goodwill towards Zhui Ming and cherish him as a good friend, emphasizing Zhui Ming's deep affection. Princess Ziluo intends to reconcile, but Zhui Ming again deliberately provokes her by getting close to other women, which angers Princess Ziluo, making her call him a playboy and refuse to speak to him.
She scolds him fiercely, feeling inexplicably angry, though she later realizes her anger was unfounded. These attempts at reconciliation often end in arguments. Due to their conflicts, Jiaoniang forbids Zhui Ming from returning to Mingyue Tower, but he disobeys, going there to drink with Tieshou. Princess Ziluo, whose heart still belongs only to Leng Xue, rejects Du Gongzi's marriage proposal and later intentionally brings Du Gongzi to Mingyue Tower to provoke Zhui Ming.
Leng Xue, disregarding his own health, is anxious to find Chu Limo, who remains missing, and wishes to leave the valley to continue his search. Ji Yaohua persuades him to stay and recover, reminding him that he needs his strength to find Chu Limo. Leng Xue has been taking four-color fish blood for many days, but his injuries haven't improved, and he cannot even hold a sword, causing him great anxiety.
Lady Dao attributes this to his wolf poison and red scale fish poison counteracting each other and decides to increase the dosage of the four-color fish blood and the duration of his internal energy cultivation. Despite Leng Xue feeling he cannot recover and wanting to leave, Ji Yaohua urges him to believe that Chu Limo is still alive and to persevere. To consolidate his kingship, Moerchi sets a fire, burning his eldest, third, and fourth brothers to death.
Their father, the king, also dies from excessive grief. Chu Limo suspects Moerchi and uses mind-reading to confirm he orchestrated these events, finding him celebrating the deaths of his brothers. Moerchi does not deny his actions and, intending to make Chu Limo his queen, locks her up and forcibly detains her. Muxue, who has observed Moerchi's actions and overheard his conversation with Chu Limo, quietly rescues Chu Limo after Moerchi leaves.
Together, Muxue and Chu Limo then rescue the trapped Wu Qing. Muxue, riding a horse with Wu Qing and Chu Limo, attempts to escape the tribe. However, Moerchi quickly leads his subordinates in pursuit and surrounds them. Moerchi is furious at Muxue for helping Chu Limo and Wu Qing escape, while Muxue publicly accuses Moerchi of murdering his brothers and father to seize power.
Resumen del episodio 30
Muxue betrayed Moerchi and led Chu Limo and Wu Qing to escape the Qingge Tribe. Moerchi and his men intercepted them, with Moerchi intending to kill Muxue and Wu Qing and take Chu Limo back. Muxue angrily accused Moerchi of harming his kin for power. Enraged, Moerchi ordered his men to attack. In an emergency, Chu Limo used her Mind-reading skill to control the horses, causing Moerchi and his men to fall.
Muxue, Chu Limo, and Wu Qing seized the opportunity to escape Moerchi's encirclement, planning to return to Shenhou Mansion. Meanwhile, Leng Xue was in Luanhua Valley, poisoned and receiving treatment from Lady Dao. Feeling incurable, Leng Xue did not want to burden Ji Yaohua and ordered her to leave, but Ji Yaohua refused, insisting on staying by his side.
Lady Dao was about to use her internal energy to heal Leng Xue when Yu Chuntong led his men into Luanhua Valley to capture Leng Xue and obtain his blood. Ji Yaohua appeared and, along with Lady Dao, easily drove away Yu Chuntong and his men, with Lady Dao injuring Yu Chuntong. Yu Chuntong returned to Prince An's Mansion to report to An Shigeng. An Shigeng was very disappointed that Yu Chuntong failed to obtain Leng Xue's blood.
Yu Chuntong fearfully explained that had Lady Dao and Ji Yaohua not been present in Luanhua Valley, he would have easily acquired Leng Xue's blood. Wu Qing still had not recovered his memory. Muxue believed this was a human self-preservation instinct to avoid confronting past pain. To help him, Chu Limo dressed as Ruyan did when she was getting married in a sedan chair and pretended to cut her wrist, reenacting the past event.
Wu Qing rushed to the sedan chair and suddenly recalled the painful memory of Ruyan's suicide in the sedan chair, thus remembering Ruyan and recovering his memory. However, remembering Ruyan was not what Wu Qing had hoped for, as it meant facing the fact of her death and the torment of his past.
Chu Limo comforted him, assuring him that Ruyan would always live in his heart as long as he remembered her, and that he still had many caring friends. Wu Qing then cheered up and prepared to return to Shenhou Mansion with Chu Limo and her companions. Muxue, Wu Qing, and Chu Limo returned to Shenhou Mansion.
Zhuge Zhengwo allowed Muxue, new to the Central Plains, to reside there, and Muxue expressed her gratitude to Wu Qing for providing her a place to stay. Chu Limo and Wu Qing did not encounter Leng Xue and Ji Yaohua upon their return. Leng Xue had been absent from Shenhou Mansion for many days, and Chu Limo was very worried about him.
Disregarding Zhuge Zhengwo's opposition, Chu Limo insisted on leaving the capital to search for Leng Xue, specifically near Hujun Mountain. Zhuge Zhengwo was uneasy about Chu Limo, who had no martial arts, traveling alone, warning her of the extremely high risks of encountering bandits and being captured, and expressing concern about explaining the situation to Chu Limo's mother, Jiaoniang, if danger befell her.
Despite Zhuge Zhengwo's numerous worries, Chu Limo persisted, stating she could not be at ease about Leng Xue, and Zhuge Zhengwo reluctantly made an exception, allowing her to leave. Before her hasty departure, Chu Limo instructed Wu Qing to take good care of Muxue. After Chu Limo's departure, Muxue felt particularly unaccustomed and lost, living alone without relatives in Shenhou Mansion. As night fell, Muxue remained troubled, unable to sleep as she missed her tribe.
Wu Qing suggested taking her to tour the capital sometime, which Muxue joyfully accepted. Wu Qing reminded Muxue to return to her room to sleep, and Muxue, feeling better, bid him farewell. Shortly after Wu Qing left, Muxue discovered Ling Yiyi practicing poison skill under the moonlight. Muxue was frightened by Ling Yiyi, whose acute hearing quickly detected Muxue.
Resumen del episodio 31
Wu Qing escorts Muxue around Shenhou Mansion. Muxue is amazed by the architecture, which is vastly different from that of the Qingge Tribe, making her realize that the Central Plains and Qingge Tribe are two distinct worlds. Muxue, unable to sleep one night, coincidentally discovers Ling Yiyi practicing poison arts by eating a venomous scorpion, which frightens her. Ling Yiyi initially forbids Muxue from remembering what she saw or mentioning it to anyone.
Muxue, thinking Ling Yiyi is a cruel woman, is later confused when Ling Yiyi pretends to be friendly towards her. Muxue then tells Wu Qing about Ling Yiyi's activities. Wu Qing, in turn, informs Tie Shou, who reveals he already knew about Ling Yiyi's condition. Tie Shou explains that Ling Yiyi had been poisoned while protecting him and was forced to practice poison arts, and he intended to help her overcome the addiction.
Upon learning the truth, Muxue realizes her misunderstanding, expresses deep respect for Ling Yiyi's sacrifice for love, and the two become good friends. Meanwhile, Leng Xue is missing, and his whereabouts are unknown. Chu Limo packs her belongings and bids farewell to Zhuge, who disapproves of her leaving Shenhou Mansion. However, Chu Limo's resolve is firm; she is determined to leave and find Leng Xue. Wu Qing takes Muxue to the capital for sightseeing.
While there, Muxue is tricked by two strangers who attempt to sell her to a brothel. Wu Qing intervenes just in time, defeating the men and rescuing Muxue. This incident makes Muxue, who is initially simple-hearted, realize the cunning nature of some Central Plains people and the stark difference from her Qingge Tribe. She complains that not all Central Plains people are good, almost revealing Ling Yiyi's secret in her frustration.
Wu Qing advises Muxue not to generalize, noting that Moerchi from the Qingge Tribe can be even worse than some Central Plains individuals. Chu Limo eventually finds Ji Yaohua. From Ji Yaohua, who is buying medicine, Chu Limo learns that Leng Xue is critically ill due to poisoning. Ji Yaohua then leads Chu Limo back to Luanhua Valley. There, they find Leng Xue, disheveled with a beard and in low spirits.
Chu Limo, overjoyed, embraces him, but Leng Xue suddenly pushes her away as his poison flares up. Lady Dao, upon seeing Ji Yaohua return with Chu Limo, expresses her displeasure. Leng Xue is suffering from two types of poison that have combined, making them even more potent. Lady Dao demands that Leng Xue promise to marry Ji Yaohua once he recovers, as a condition for her treating him.
Chu Limo and Ji Yaohua anxiously plead with Lady Dao to heal Leng Xue. Separately, An Shigeng has discovered that Chu Limo, whose original name is Chu Yingxue and who is also the daughter of Bian Hongyao, is an escaped "show girl" who had joined Shenhou Mansion as a maid with the help of the famous trappers to avoid palace service. An Shigeng presents Chu Limo's portrait to Zhuge when Zhuge visits King Xiang.
Zhuge recognizes the woman in the portrait as Chu Limo but is initially unaware that she is the escaped "show girl" Chu Yingxue. Under An Shigeng's pressure, Zhuge confirms that Chu Limo is no longer at Shenhou Mansion. King Xiang orders An Shigeng to lead agents from the Six Doors, accompanied by Yu Chuntong, to Shenhou Mansion to arrest Chu Limo.
Although they do not find her, An Shigeng proudly declares the suspension of Zhuge and all personnel at Shenhou Mansion for investigation, demanding that Zhuge hand over Chu Yingxue. Zhuge and all the constables are suspended. Jiaoniang, learning from Zhuge that An Shigeng is leveraging King Xiang's backing to investigate Shenhou Mansion, advises An Shigeng not to antagonize Zhuge.
Resumen del episodio 32
Chu Limo, a show girl who had privately escaped from the palace, was hidden in Shenhou Mansion by the famous trappers. An Shigeng came to Shenhou Mansion to capture Chu Limo, but she had already left to find Leng Xue. Failing to find Chu Limo, An Shigeng seized the opportunity to seal up Shenhou Mansion and suspend all the trappers from their duties. Han Long became hopelessly addicted to a fragrant ointment.
An Shigeng brought a box of the ointment to Six Doors, and Han Long, in the throes of his addiction, begged An Shigeng for it. An Shigeng gave it to him, and Han Long eagerly consumed it in front of An Shigeng. An Shigeng's purpose in coming to Six Doors was to announce that Yu Chuntong would be taking over Han Long's position.
Han Long was dispirited because of his addiction, and An Shigeng took the opportunity to transfer his position to Yu Chuntong, who was Han Long's deputy. After being promoted, Yu Chuntong went to Han Long's room to mock him. Han Long, realizing Yu Chuntong had long been plotting for the position of head trapper, was eventually kicked out of Six Doors.
An Shigeng arranged for Han Long to enter the palace, allowing Xiang Wang to witness his drug use and remove him from his leadership of Six Doors. Jiaoniang, learning that Shenhou Mansion had been sealed, became worried and tried to persuade An Shigeng not to treat Zhuge so harshly, as they were siblings. An Shigeng, displeased that Jiaoniang was pleading for Zhuge, tricked her into drinking a cup of wine containing a drug that caused severe stomach pain.
Jiaoniang sought help from Zhuge, who discovered An Shigeng had poisoned the wine. Zhuge believed An Shigeng only intended to give Jiaoniang a warning and, not acknowledging the ties between himself and Jiaoniang, told her not to interfere in his affairs. Muxue developed feelings for Wu Qing, admiring his character.
She gave him a sachet she carried, a gesture of affection among women of the Qingge Tribe, expressing her willingness to protect him and take care of him in place of Ruyan and Limo. Wu Qing, unable to forget Ruyan, refused Muxue's gift, stating he had no time for matters of the heart. Chu Limo used her Mind-reading skill to suppress the wolf poison in Leng Xue's body, which was interfering with the healing of his other wounds.
Ji Yaohua felt dejected, realizing Leng Xue and Chu Limo would continue to love each other. Dao Furen, always indignant on Ji Yaohua's behalf, urged Ji Yaohua to eliminate Chu Limo, believing that if she did, Wu Qing might transfer his affection. Ji Yaohua was torn, knowing that if she killed Chu Limo, she would incur Leng Xue's hatred, as Chu Limo was the woman he deeply loved.
Dao Furen told Ji Yaohua that when Leng Xue recovered, she would witness him with Limo, which would be worse than death, so Dao Furen wanted to persuade Ji Yaohua to end Limo. With Chu Limo's Mind-reading skill calming him down, Dao Furen allowed the four-colored fish blood to flow through Leng Xue's meridians, thoroughly curing the two toxins in his body.
An Shigeng sought to exploit the fact that Shenhou Mansion was harboring the show girl Chu Yingxue to remove Shenhou Mansion, Zhuge Zhengwo. An Shigeng repeatedly exposed the corruption of officials within the court, and Xiang Wang grew more and more trusting and appreciative of him. Yu Chuntong, now in power, took the opportunity to retaliate against Han Long, venting all the resentment he had previously endured.
Resumen del episodio 33
Leng Xue experienced hallucinations, entering a fiery illusion where Chu Limo rescued him. With Chu Limo's assistance, Leng Xue miraculously recovered his health by detoxifying his body. Chu Limo also remained by Leng Xue's side throughout his recovery. Ji Yaohua, however, was not happy about Leng Xue's recovery; instead, she was worried, knowing that his return to health meant he would continue his relationship with Chu Limo.
Ji Yaohua had always believed Leng Xue's poison was incurable and had even prepared to die with him, so Chu Limo's arrival, which completely cleared Leng Xue's poison, saddened her. Blade Lady sympathized deeply with Ji Yaohua's unwavering devotion to Leng Xue and reminded her that she would feel even worse when Leng Xue fully woke and was with Chu Limo, suggesting she kill Chu Limo before Leng Xue regained consciousness.
However, Ji Yaohua chose to leave a letter and depart, allowing Leng Xue and Chu Limo to be together, a decision Blade Lady greatly admired, believing it was proof of true love. Meanwhile, Wu Qing continuously practiced his martial arts without any slack, determined to prevent An Shigeng from causing further trouble and evil. Muxue, admiring Wu Qing's devotion to Ruyan and his loyalty to Chu Limo, believed he was a trustworthy person to whom she could commit her life.
She offered him a sachet, a traditional love token from Qingge women to their beloved, to express her feelings, but Wu Qing, still bound by an unforgettable past love, refused to accept it. A large amount of fake currency, specifically fake copper coins, began to circulate in the capital, potentially making up half of the city's currency. Wu Qing and Zhui Ming accidentally discovered a merchant surnamed Liang, who ran a silver exchange, trading with another individual.
They noticed dropped copper coins were fake, which aroused their suspicion. As they pursued the two, both the merchant Liang and his associate were ambushed and assassinated with daggers. Wu Qing and his companions destroyed the fake copper coins that Liang was preparing to trade, but Zhui Ming later found many more fake copper coins still circulating in the market. He collected these and brought them to Zhuge Zhengwo for research.
However, the Shenhou Mansion had been sealed, making it inconvenient for Zhuge Zhengwo to deploy Wu Qing and his companions to thoroughly investigate the source of the fake currency. In connection with the fake currency incident, Ji Yaohua's father committed suicide by hanging. Ji Yaohua returned to the capital, planning to order a coffin for herself, only to learn of her father's death and the widespread issue of fake copper coins.
She arrived home heartbroken, gazing at her father's body in the coffin. The Ji family housekeeper informed her that constables had concluded her father committed suicide out of guilt, believing he was responsible for manufacturing the fake currency that harmed the nation. Devastated, Ji Yaohua refused to believe her father would commit such a crime. As a servant closed the coffin lid, Ji Yaohua became emotionally overwhelmed and fainted at her father's memorial service.
An Shigeng then arrived to visit the unconscious Ji Yaohua. Upon waking, Ji Yaohua looked at An Shigeng with confusion. An Shigeng advised her not to grieve further for her father's death. Suspicious, Ji Yaohua questioned his true identity. An Shigeng calmly revealed he was the notorious An Shigeng, the greatest villain. Ji Yaohua was shocked and hostile upon learning his true identity.
An Shigeng, employing a cunning strategy to draw her closer, claimed that he and Ji Yaohua were both "fallen ones" who had lost family and stated his desire to befriend her. Ji Yaohua appeared troubled by An Shigeng's manipulative words. Meanwhile, with the Shenhou Mansion sealed by An Shigeng, Jiaoniang attempted to meet the Emperor in the palace, but he refused to see her. Disheartened, Jiaoniang left the palace and went to Zhuge's residence.
Zhuge, concerned that Jiaoniang had risked going to the palace alone, warned her against undertaking such dangerous actions again. He explained that since An Shigeng was responsible for sealing the Shenhou Mansion, Jiaoniang pleading for the mansion would surely incur An Shigeng's displeasure. Zhuge did not want Jiaoniang to openly oppose An Shigeng, as An Shigeng was ruthless and merciless, and provoking him could very likely lead to her death.
Resumen del episodio 34
A large amount of fake currency appears in the capital, leading to the sealing of the Money Mint Bureau by Six Doors. Tie Shou is ordered to investigate the fake copper coins, taking Ling Yiyi to the Money Mint Bureau to gather clues. Despite the danger, Ling Yiyi secretly sneaks in, but is accidentally discovered and unexpectedly kills someone with her poison palm. Tie Shou arrives and takes her away, scolding her for her risky actions.
He realizes her poison palm has grown more powerful, confirming she defied his advice to abandon poison and continued her practice, which deeply disappoints and angers him. Feeling the growing distance between them, Ling Yiyi decides she can no longer remain by Tie Shou's side, resolves to leave him, and asks him not to search for her.
Meanwhile, Yu Chuntong comes to the Money Mint Bureau to arrest Wang Shijie, attempting to frame him for manufacturing the fake currency and forcing a confession, even presenting a basket of fake coins as evidence. Wang Shijie, an upright man, refuses to admit guilt. Wu Qing and Tie Shou investigate Wang Shijie's residence and learn that Yu Chuntong has indeed framed him and subjected him to torture to reveal the mastermind.
With the Shenhou Mansion sealed and Six Doors now under An Shigeng's control, An Shigeng also pressures Wang Shijie to confess, leading Zhuge Zhengwo to realize that An Shigeng's true objective is to eliminate the popular Prince Zhu. After leaving Tie Shou, Ling Yiyi immediately encounters Yuan Buxie, who forcibly takes her away.
Yuan Buxie, having re-established the Five Poisons Sect after Wen Ruyu's death, intends to capture Ling Yiyi and train her into a 'Poison Demon Immortal' for his own use. He imprisons her in a secret chamber, filling it with hundreds of snakes, ants, and various poisonous insects. His plan is for these poisons to bite her for forty-nine days to complete her transformation. Trapped and terrified, Ling Yiyi witnesses a golden silkworm appear.
This golden silkworm poisons and kills all the other insects. The golden silkworm then crawls towards her, and despite her pleas for it to stay away, it flies onto her body and enters her body, causing her entire body to rapidly turn golden before she collapses. In other events, Leng Xue and Chu Limo return to the capital, intending to visit the Ji Mansion to see if Ji Yaohua has returned, but Zhui Ming intercepts them.
Zhui Ming briefs them on the capital's situation and relays Zhuge Zhengwo's request for them to leave. However, both Leng Xue and Chu Limo feel compelled to stay and help. Zhui Ming then arranges a secluded temporary residence for them, instructing them to secretly investigate the currency mold case. Later that night, Leng Xue and Chu Limo sit in their courtyard, enjoying the scenery and a rare moment of peace.
Leng Xue joyfully declares his love for Chu Limo, who loudly reciprocates. They express their mutual affection, sitting back-to-back, cherishing their hard-won love. Separately, Ji Yaohua visits Zhuge Zhengwo, who mentions the recent passing of her father. Ji Yaohua expresses her reluctance to revisit the sad past, and Zhuge Zhengwo advises her to rest well at her mansion. As she departs, female constables greet her with surprise and delight.
Aware of her father's death and Leng Xue's apparent indifference towards her, they inquire about the progress of her relationship with Leng Xue. Ji Yaohua, displeased, instructs them to stop discussing Leng Xue. The female constables then watch her walk towards her room with sympathetic expressions, whispering among themselves about their profound sympathy for her plight. Lastly, Jiao Niang and Prince Zhu are both worried about Zhuge Zhengwo.
They separately attempt to clear his name, but Jiao Niang faces rejection at the palace, and Prince Xiang refuses to reopen the case regarding the harboring of palace maids. Zhuge Zhengwo reassures Jiao Niang not to worry, explaining that he is employing a strategy of stillness to await the opportune moment for action.
Resumen del episodio 35
Ji Yaohua returned to Shenhou Mansion, where Zhuge mentioned her father's passing. Unwilling to revisit sad memories, Ji Yaohua was advised by Zhuge to rest at Shenhou Mansion for a few days. However, Ji Yaohua secretly sought to uncover information about Leng Xue and Chu Limo, first from Zhuge, who revealed nothing, and then from Wu Qing. Although Wu Qing did not explicitly disclose details, Ji Yaohua understood he knew the truth and began her own discreet investigation.
Meanwhile, Leng Xue left a mark to meet Wu Qing and Zhui Ming, who were being closely monitored by Six Doors. Wu Qing, incensed by Six Doors' surveillance, wanted to confront them, but Zhui Ming prevented a clash to avoid implicating Zhuge or giving Six Doors a reason to hold him accountable. Leng Xue risked meeting Wu Qing and Zhui Ming, seeking their help to arrange a meeting with Zhuge Zhengwo.
Leng Xue believed that they could not escape An Shigeng's surveillance no matter where they fled, and therefore, overthrowing An Shigeng was the most pressing matter. With their assistance, Leng Xue brought Chu Limo to meet Zhuge in a cave. Zhuge did not admonish Chu Limo for changing her name and infiltrating Shenhou Mansion as a female servant. Chu Limo expressed her fear that her identity as a potential imperial concubine, if exposed, would implicate Zhuge.
Following these events, Zhuge was suspended from his post, and Shenhou Mansion was sealed. Leng Xue was convinced that An Shigeng was directly linked to Shenhou Mansion's sealing, as An Shigeng had consistently opposed them. Leng Xue urged Zhuge to actively engage in a battle of wits and courage against An Shigeng. Zhuge, for his part, repeatedly instructed Leng Xue to protect Chu Limo and to not disclose her whereabouts to anyone, believing that her non-appearance would ensure temporary peace.
A critical incident then occurred: the Mint Bureau's vault caught fire. This vault stored the essential money molds, crucial for the nation's currency. If destroyed, new coins could not be minted. Wang Shijie, an official, rushed into the blaze to retrieve the molds and tragically perished, burned to death in the inferno, while his subordinates anxiously called out from outside. Six Doors received news and promptly dispatched investigators to the Mint Bureau.
Their inspection revealed that the money molds salvaged from the fire were fake, indicating that the original molds in the Mint Bureau had been swapped. Yu Chuntong led his subordinates to investigate the cause of the fire. When an official from the Mint Bureau made an inappropriate remark, Yu Chuntong declared he would report the incident directly to the Emperor. Zhuge discussed the Mint Bureau fire with Wu Qing and others, acknowledging that Six Doors was officially investigating.
Zhuge believed that creating fake currency was not An Shigeng's true objective, and that Wang Shijie's death and the burned vault were their sole clues. Anticipating that An Shigeng might lay a trap to ensure Shenhou Mansion's permanent downfall, Zhuge instructed Wu Qing and Zhui Ming to proceed with extreme caution in their secret investigation, and to be wary of Yu Chuntong. Amidst a series of incidents in the capital, King Xiang considered reinstating Zhuge to investigate everything.
An Shigeng, however, actively obstructed this, inciting King Xiang to prevent him from changing his mind. Prince Zhu visited King Xiang, proposing that the money mold case, due to the widespread circulation of fake currency in the capital harming many citizens, concerned the very foundation of the nation. He argued that restoring Zhuge's position was essential for quickly resolving the case. However, An Shigeng's interference made it impossible for Prince Zhu to convince King Xiang to reinstate Zhuge.
Seizing the opportunity, An Shigeng suggested appointing a new leader for Shenhou Mansion. Prince Zhu then proposed Ji Yaohua, who ranked highest among those after the famous trappers. King Xiang agreed and promptly appointed Ji Yaohua as the interim leader of Shenhou Mansion.
Resumen del episodio 36
The Shenhou Mansion was reopened after King Xiang agreed, based on An Shigeng's suggestion, that a high-ranking individual other than Zhuge Zhengwo and the Four Great Constables should lead it. Prince Zhu and King Xiang both consented, leading to Ji Yaohua being appointed to temporarily manage all of the Shenhou Mansion's affairs as its leader. The mansion was thus restored to its duty of maintaining order in the capital.
Zhuge Zhengwo, unaware that Ji Yaohua was An Shigeng's ally, entrusted her with the key to the Shenhou Mansion's vital database of criminals. However, Ji Yaohua immediately handed this key over to An Shigeng. Influenced by An Shigeng, Ji Yaohua harbored a deep hatred for Leng Xue and vowed to make him suffer to exact her revenge. Upon taking charge, Ji Yaohua's behavior changed drastically, leading to suspicion among the Constables.
She refused to allow the Four Great Constables – including Wu Qing, Tie Shou, and Zhui Ming – to investigate the important Qian Mo case. Instead, she appointed her trusted associates, Haitang and Butterfly, to key positions in the investigation, baffling everyone. The Constables grew dissatisfied, suspecting Ji Yaohua of trying to claim credit for the case if Haitang and Butterfly were successful.
Wu Qing and Zhui Ming found her completely changed and distrusted her new style of leadership, though Zhuge Zhengwo insisted they trust her and follow her arrangements. Deciding Ji Yaohua was highly suspicious, and barred from the Qian Mo case, the Four Great Constables resolved to investigate her instead. Tie Shou independently snuck into a secret room within the Shenhou Mansion, seeking confidential information. Ji Yaohua confronted him, questioning his intentions.
Tie Shou claimed he was looking for old cases, but Ji Yaohua, displeased, warned him against unauthorized entry in the future. Despite their continuous efforts, the Constables only found Ji Yaohua suspicious without concrete evidence, prompting them to continue their covert investigation. Meanwhile, Yu Chuntong easily uncovered a den where counterfeit currency was being manufactured. He apprehended the individuals involved, who confessed that they were acting under Prince Zhu's command.
Yu Chuntong also seized transit permits bearing Prince Zhu's seal or surname, along with the newly forged counterfeit coins. He presented this evidence to King Xiang. Initially, King Xiang disbelieved Prince Zhu's involvement. An Shigeng, feigning apprehension, was reluctant to disclose the leader's identity. King Xiang, however, insisted that even a prince committing a crime should be arrested without fail.
An Shigeng then pointed out that Prince Zhu's attempts to reinstate Zhuge Zhengwo after the Qian Mo case occurred actually served as proof of his culpability, which ultimately convinced King Xiang of Prince Zhu's role as the mastermind. King Xiang was reportedly very shocked upon seeing the document. Acting on orders, An Shigeng, accompanied by Yu Chuntong, proceeded to Prince Zhu's mansion to arrest him and demand an explanation.
An Shigeng showed Prince Zhu the transit permit bearing his surname/seal as evidence of his involvement in the counterfeit currency scheme. Prince Zhu, standing in his courtyard, looked at An Shigeng with suspicion and denied all charges. When he requested his seal for comparison, he discovered it had mysteriously gone missing. Subsequently, a subordinate, Commander Lin, was brought before Prince Zhu and identified him as the leader of the counterfeit operation.
Commander Lin was then shot dead on the spot by a masked man who had climbed onto the rooftop. Yu Chuntong immediately seized upon this, accusing Prince Zhu of killing a witness to silence him, which left Prince Zhu unable to defend himself, and he surmised that An Shigeng had orchestrated the counterfeit case to frame him.
Resumen del episodio 37
An Shigeng orchestrated a cunning plot to frame Prince Zhu for counterfeiting. Yu Chuntong successfully uncovered a counterfeiting organization and obtained Prince Zhu's stamped pass permit, which had been used to facilitate the sale of fake currency nationwide. Yu Chuntong then presented this "evidence" to King Xiang.
Unaware of the full deception and manipulated by An Shigeng, King Xiang issued an imperial edict for Prince Zhu's arrest, though he expressed bewilderment as to why Prince Zhu, who lacked nothing, would engage in activities that disrupted the national currency system. An Shigeng and Yu Chuntong, accompanied by Six Doors personnel, arrived at Prince Zhu's mansion to carry out the arrest. Prince Zhu, who had just discovered his seal was missing, denied the charges.
An Shigeng produced a bribed "witness" to testify against Prince Zhu. However, a masked man on the roof shot and killed this witness. Yu Chuntong and An Shigeng immediately seized upon this, using the murder as further grounds for accusation, claiming Prince Zhu had silenced the witness. Subsequently, Prince Zhu's mansion was sealed. Wu Qing informed Leng Xue of the unfolding situation in the capital. Leng Xue, unable to ignore the plight of his adoptive father, risked meeting Prince Zhu.
Fearing he would not get another chance to speak the truth, Prince Zhu gave Leng Xue a half-jade pendant he had kept and revealed what he knew, hoping Leng Xue could uncover the truth and clear his name. Prince Zhu explained that after rescuing Leng Xue, he had returned to the scene of the wolf clan's demise and found only his half-jade pendant, broken in two.
He had never understood why his pendant was left at the crime scene and had been investigating for years without success. Leng Xue later discussed with Zhuge how to clear Prince Zhu's name, believing his adoptive father was not responsible for the wolf clan's demise because he had adopted Leng Xue. Meanwhile, Yuan Buxie opened a secret chamber to check on Ling Yiyi, intending to force her to become a "poison demoness" for his own use.
Ling Yiyi, who had just awakened, gained absorbing abilities. Upon contact, Ling Yiyi absorbed Yuan Buxie's power, draining his martial arts. Surprised and intrigued by her new divine skill, Yuan Buxie intended to strip Ling Yiyi's clothes. At this critical moment, a Little Golden Silkworm appeared, entered Yuan Buxie's mouth, causing him to scream, fall to the ground, and die, thus saving Ling Yiyi.
The Little Golden Silkworm then flew around Ling Yiyi, who initially feared it would attack her, but it merely circled in the air. In Shenhou Mansion, Ji Yaohua, now its leader, harbored hatred for the institution and deliberately fostered antagonism with the famous trappers. Zhui Ming, who had developed increasing hostility towards her, was summoned by Ji Yaohua. She questioned him about the whereabouts of Chu Limo and Leng Xue.
Chu Limo had previously concealed her identity within Shenhou Mansion to avoid becoming a royal concubine, and Zhui Ming, knowing her dangerous situation, refused to reveal her hiding place. Ji Yaohua, eager to find Chu Limo, hoped to have her charged by the court, which would then pave the way for her to pursue a relationship with Leng Xue.
Separately, Zhui Ming secretly investigated the bodies at the Currency Bureau and discovered they were not burned to death, also noting that Wang Shijie held a small piece of black silk cloth. An Shigeng, aware that someone was investigating the bodies, blamed Ji Yaohua for not controlling the famous trappers and for losing the trust of Shenhou Mansion. Ji Yaohua, full of hatred, vowed to gain their trust and uncover any clues Shenhou Mansion had found.
Resumen del episodio 38
Leng Xue and Chu Limo, who were privately engaged, were living in seclusion outside the capital. Ji Yaohua, claiming to act in Shenhou Mansion's best interest, repeatedly sought Leng Xue's whereabouts from Zhui Ming, hoping to gain his trust and extract information. Zhui Ming, unsure of Ji Yaohua's true allegiance and suspecting her urgent motives, refused to disclose Leng Xue's location, replying with "no comment."
He knew Ji Yaohua could no longer win Leng Xue's love and suspected she wanted to use Leng Xue to find Chu Limo, an escaped show girl pursued by the court, believing that if Chu Limo were apprehended and handed to Prince Xiang, Ji Yaohua might have a chance with Leng Xue. Despite Zhui Ming's refusal, Ji Yaohua eventually found Leng Xue and Chu Limo's secluded residence.
She again claimed to be acting for Shenhou Mansion, blaming Chu Limo for the Mansion having been sealed, and declared her intention to apprehend Chu Limo and hand her to Prince Xiang. Leng Xue staunchly defended Chu Limo, explaining that Shenhou Mansion had already been unsealed and investigations resumed, and he believed Zhuge, though suspended, would soon be reinstated. He blocked Ji Yaohua's attempt to seize Chu Limo, forcing Ji Yaohua to leave without conflict.
During this confrontation, Chu Limo secretly used her mind-reading ability on Ji Yaohua, discovering An Shigeng's influence and deep-seated hatred within her, confirming Chu Limo's premonition that Ji Yaohua's words were premeditated. Zhuge Zhengwo was aware that Ji Yaohua had visited Leng Xue and Chu Limo, and had previously admonished her for her actions in seeking Leng Xue, pointing out that if she were followed, Chu Limo's hiding place would be revealed.
Later, Zhuge Zhengwo discovered the smell of kerosene on a black silk cloth. Trusting Ji Yaohua, he assigned her to lead the investigation into the secret transport of kerosene into the capital, specifically instructing her not to let personal feelings interfere with the case. However, Ji Yaohua interpreted his trust as unfair favoritism towards Chu Limo.
Indeed, Ji Yaohua met with An Shigeng, who was waiting for her at his mansion and held her wrist, which she dared not pull away from. Ji Yaohua subsequently informed An Shigeng of Leng Xue and Chu Limo's whereabouts. This kerosene transport was part of an "earth-shattering conspiracy" orchestrated by An Shigeng, who often spoke to the preserved body of the deceased Ruyan, claiming she lived in his heart and informing her of his impending grand scheme.
Yu Chuntong had dispatched dozens of loyal dead soldiers to An Shigeng, commanding them to secretly transport the kerosene. Wu Qing and Leng Xue returned to the capital to investigate this kerosene case. They encountered a notorious bandit named Huang Yitian, whose official file had mysteriously disappeared after Ji Yaohua took charge. Huang Yitian was observed transporting a cart of kerosene into the city without being challenged by either the Six Doors or Ji Yaohua.
Wu Qing and Leng Xue covertly intercepted Huang Yitian, but he committed suicide by poison before they could question him. Subsequently, Zhui Ming and Tie Shou discovered that the kerosene had been transported to Prince An's Mansion. Yu Chuntong, noticing a missing carriage and a coachman who had committed suicide, realized that Shenhou Mansion had uncovered their secret kerosene operation. Wu Qing suspected that Ji Yaohua had been compromised by An Shigeng.
Separately, An Shigeng was also involved in another scheme concerning Prince Zhu, who was embroiled in a counterfeit currency mold case with solid evidence. Despite this, the Emperor had not yet issued an edict for Prince Zhu's punishment. An Shigeng pressured Prince Xiang regarding the matter, but Prince Xiang was unable to obtain the imperial edict from the Emperor, forcing An Shigeng to devise alternative methods.
Resumen del episodio 39
An Shigeng dispatched a group of dead soldiers to secretly transport kerosene. Wu Qing and Leng Xue tracked the kerosene's whereabouts to a city gate. There, a notorious bandit, Huang Yitian, attempted to enter the city with a carriage containing kerosene, falsely claiming it was wine for King Xiang. The suspicious guards demanded to search the barrels, but Ji Yaohua intervened and ordered them to let Huang Yitian pass.
Her deliberate action of allowing An Shigeng's kerosene transporters to proceed, along with her subsequent visits to Leng Xue and Chu Limo, made Zhuge Zhengwo suspect her loyalty, leading him to order the Four Great Constables to monitor her every move. Huang Yitian continued towards Prince An's Mansion. Wu Qing and Leng Xue intercepted him on the road. The carriage was laden with kerosene, exposing Huang Yitian's crime, and he poisoned himself to death on the spot.
Leng Xue returned home to discover Chu Limo had been captured by An Shigeng. Leng Xue tracked An Shigeng, who had also kidnapped Ji Yaohua. An Shigeng forced Leng Xue to choose which of the two women to rescue. Leng Xue stated he would not save Ji Yaohua, citing her betrayal of Shenhou Mansion and expressing a hope for her to repent. However, Ji Yaohua remained unyielding.
Chu Limo pleaded with Leng Xue to save Ji Yaohua, mentioning a debt of gratitude she owed Ji Yaohua, and Ji Yaohua's grave illness and limited time. Despite this, Leng Xue firmly chose to rescue Chu Limo. This decision completely shattered Ji Yaohua's hope, allowing An Shigeng to take her back to his mansion.
Ji Yaohua decided to sever her ties with Leng Xue, and An Shigeng, feigning concern, continued to manipulate her, further fueling her hatred for Leng Xue and Shenhou Mansion. Zhuge Zhengwo attempted to inform King Xiang about An Shigeng's malicious schemes and his illegal kerosene transport, but King Xiang initially avoided him. Zhuge Zhengwo then presented an imperial gold token to gain an audience.
Though initially skeptical of Zhuge Zhengwo's accusations against An Shigeng, King Xiang was persuaded when Zhuge Zhengwo personally guaranteed he would accept severe punishment if his claims were false. King Xiang ultimately decided to dispatch Zhuge Zhengwo to search Prince An's Mansion and personally led imperial guards to accompany him. At Prince An's Mansion, Zhuge Zhengwo requested a search, but An Shigeng refused, leading to a dispute with King Xiang.
Enraged, An Shigeng summoned a legion of dead soldiers he had trained. These dead soldiers proved to be incredibly powerful and seemingly invulnerable, causing numerous casualties among the imperial guards. Seeing the dire situation, Zhuge Zhengwo personally intervened, striking acupoints on all the dead soldiers, causing them to fall and die. Perceiving the tide had turned, Yu Chuntong promptly defected to King Xiang, testifying against An Shigeng and revealing the hidden location of the kerosene.
In a fit of rage, An Shigeng used a poison needle to kill Yu Chuntong before making a swift escape from Prince An's Mansion. Before his death, Yu Chuntong had successfully revealed the location where An Shigeng had hidden the kerosene. After An Shigeng's escape, Shenhou Mansion's plan to thwart An Shigeng's scheme to illegally store kerosene was successful. King Xiang subsequently reinstated Zhuge Zhengwo as the head of Shenhou Mansion.
Separately, Ling Yiyi, feeling inferior due to her identity as a "poison girl," expressed her desire to leave Tie Shou. In response, Tie Shou urgently confessed his deep longing for her. Comforted by his words, Ling Yiyi then recounted her experience of being held captive by Yuan Buxie. Later, King Xiang summoned Leng Xue to the palace, where Princess Ziluo, who held a deep affection for Leng Xue, was present. King Xiang pressed Leng Xue to marry Princess Ziluo, but Leng Xue remained silent under the pressure, giving no clear answer.
Resumen del episodio 40
An Shigeng's crimes were exposed, and he subsequently fled. The Emperor pardoned Shenhou Mansion for harboring an escaped imperial beauty and, through King Xiang, issued two secret imperial decrees to Leng Xue. These decrees presented Leng Xue with an agonizing dilemma: either accept the living command to marry Princess Ziluo and become a royal consort, or face the death command, which stipulated the execution of his beloved, Chu Limo.
Both decrees aimed to separate Leng Xue from the woman he loved, leaving him at a loss for how to choose. Leng Xue, unwilling to marry Princess Ziluo yet equally unwilling to kill Chu Limo, returned to Shenhou Mansion from the palace. To avoid harming Chu Limo, he began to cold-shoulder her and treat her harshly, claiming he was tired of her "clinging" and wanting to push her away.
Unaware of the difficult choice Leng Xue faced, Chu Limo believed he no longer loved her and confided her sorrow to Wu Qing. Wu Qing, noticing Leng Xue's behavior, questioned him about his reasons, asking if he had a hidden hardship. However, Leng Xue lied, claiming he had grown weary of Chu Limo and no longer loved her.
Meanwhile, Wu Qing himself carried a heavy heart; despite having fallen in love with Chu Limo unknowingly during a period of amnesia, he could not forget Ruyan, remaining deeply attached to her. Mu Xue, observing Wu Qing, understood that beneath his composed exterior lay immense suffering. Separately, Ling Yiyi continued to absorb toxic insect venom, struggling with her addiction. Tie Shou discovered her inability to control her cravings and brought her to an ice cave.
Desperate not to disappoint Tie Shou and wanting to end her addiction, Ling Yiyi underwent a difficult internal struggle and attempted to self-mutilate by taking a brick to break her arm. Tie Shou, understanding her intent, threw the brick away. When Ling Yiyi tried to retrieve it, Zhuge Zhengwo appeared to guide her, explaining that she could utilize her "poison hand" for good, rather than evil, to fight evil, uphold justice, and help the weak.
Later, Leng Xue actively invited Princess Ziluo to choose a gift, and at Jiaoniang's birthday banquet, in front of everyone, he formally proposed to Zhuge Zhengwo to marry Princess Ziluo. He refused to explain his reasons, willing to be misunderstood as a man greedy for honor, wealth, and power, which caused the banquet to end on a sour note. Everyone present was unable to comprehend Leng Xue's actions.
Chu Limo was shocked and heartbroken, believing he was attracted to power, though she initially disbelieved he could be such a person and tried to question him, only for Leng Xue to adamantly confirm he was indeed drawn to power. Wu Qing glared at Leng Xue before departing.
Zhui Ming opposed the marriage, pointing out Leng Xue had no love for Princess Ziluo and thus she would not find happiness, and though he worried for the princess, he was powerless as Princess Ziluo herself was determined to marry Leng Xue. Tie Shou, angered by Leng Xue's perceived betrayal of Chu Limo, also believed Leng Xue was marrying Princess Ziluo out of greed for glory and riches, and championed Chu Limo's cause.
Despite everyone's disapproval and opposition, Leng Xue remained steadfast in his decision to marry Princess Ziluo. Overwhelmed by his difficult choice, Leng Xue found himself in pain and sought solace in alcohol. He eventually lied to Chu Limo again, claiming his marriage to Princess Ziluo was for revenge: by marrying the high-ranking princess, he would gain military power necessary to find and exact vengeance upon his enemies, the wolf tribe.
However, the truth was that Leng Xue was forced into this marriage out of sheer helplessness; he had no other option but to marry Princess Ziluo to save Chu Limo from the Emperor and King Xiang's threat.
Resumen del episodio 41
The famous trappers convene to discuss how to thwart An Shigeng's ambition to practice a peerless divine skill. An Shigeng's crimes are eventually exposed, leading him to flee. Meanwhile, Chu Limo becomes a major target, being a thorn in the side for both An Shigeng and Ji Yaohua. Ji Yaohua is dispatched to capture Chu Limo and attempts to do so.
An Shigeng and Ji Yaohua also harbor a deep hatred for Leng Xue, despite Leng Xue having spent a night with Ji Yaohua at one point. Leng Xue single-handedly ventures into the dungeon to rescue Chu Limo. Later, Leng Xue enters the palace to meet King Xiang, who issues a royal decree presenting Leng Xue with a harrowing choice: either marry Princess Ziluo (the "living command") or kill his beloved, Chu Limo (the "dying command").
Unwilling to marry Princess Ziluo and equally unwilling to harm Chu Limo, Leng Xue finds himself in a profound dilemma. Unaware of Leng Xue's predicament, Chu Limo is alienated by him upon his return to Shenhou Mansion from the palace. Leng Xue firmly declares in front of everyone his serious intention to marry Princess Ziluo. Chu Limo perceives that Leng Xue no longer loves her and confides in Wu Qing.
When Wu Qing confronts Leng Xue about his change of heart, Leng Xue falsely claims to be tired of Chu Limo. To further convince Chu Limo, Leng Xue deliberately embraces Princess Ziluo and kisses her in front of Chu Limo, explaining to Chu Limo that he is now attracted to power.
However, Chu Limo still cannot believe that two people in love could change their hearts overnight and earnestly seeks to understand Leng Xue's true, hidden difficulties for abandoning their love. She doesn't know the exact nature of his forced marriage to the princess but, feeling helpless, decides to leave, hoping her departure will alleviate Leng Xue's sadness and allow him to marry Princess Ziluo more freely.
During this time, Zhui Ming persistently advises Princess Ziluo, urging her to realize that her feelings for Leng Xue are not genuine love but rather vanity. He believes Leng Xue and Princess Ziluo are not suitable and that their relationship would not last, seeking to spare her future heartache. Princess Ziluo initially dismisses Zhui Ming's warnings, convinced that she and Leng Xue are a destined match and refusing to give up.
Yet, Leng Xue's deliberate public display of affection towards her, particularly the kiss, strikes her as very strange, causing her to doubt her own feelings for him. Zhui Ming, hearing her description, reaffirms his conclusion that her feelings for Leng Xue are indeed rooted in vanity. Eventually, Princess Ziluo learns the truth about Leng Xue's compelling reasons for the marriage.
She announces to Leng Xue that she will not marry him and publicly discloses his predicament, declaring that she has no desire to marry someone for ulterior motives. Realizing Leng Xue has no affection for her, Princess Ziluo understands that not marrying him is the right decision. Upon learning of Chu Limo's departure, Leng Xue immediately rushes out of Shenhou Mansion to find her.
He eventually catches up with Chu Limo and, in front of others, loudly proclaims his love for her, a declaration that convinces her to stay. The two reconcile. Throughout these events, Ling Yiyi's stubborn nature persists as she continues to absorb poisonous insects. Zhui Ming, who harbors feelings for Princess Ziluo, remains by her side, offering comfort, but Princess Ziluo remains oblivious to his affections and does not cherish his emotions.
Resumen del episodio 42
Princess Ziluo and Leng Xue's engagement was canceled, but this decision was not approved by the Emperor, and their marriage remained scheduled. Despite this, Leng Xue had already reconciled with Chu Limo, whom he deeply loved. Zhui Ming was deeply in love with Princess Ziluo, who initially ignored his affections. However, after canceling her engagement with Leng Xue, Princess Ziluo began to seriously consider her relationship with Zhui Ming.
She confided in Jiaoniang at Mingyue Tower, and Jiaoniang strongly encouraged her to reciprocate Zhui Ming's love. Meanwhile, Zhuge Zhengwo attempted to persuade King Xiang to retract the Emperor's command regarding the marriage, but King Xiang refused, citing the received betrothal gifts and the Emperor's unchangeable decision. Zhuge hoped that meritorious deeds by the famous trappers could still convince the Emperor.
Wu Qing tried to convince Zhui Ming to give up on Princess Ziluo and pursue Muxue instead, but Zhui Ming retorted that Wu Qing should move past his deceased love, Ruyan, and cherish Muxue. After Zhui Ming departed with the famous trappers, Princess Ziluo finally realized his true affection for her and understood that he was the one who consistently cared for and loved her.
Persuaded by Jiaoniang and her own realization, she disguised herself as a young eunuch and secretly escaped the palace to find Zhui Ming. An Shigeng had escaped the capital and established himself as a local tyrant in Chaoge Mountain. The Shenhou Mansion, led by Zhuge Zhengwo, discovered that An Shigeng might be planning to open the Huanyu Stone Cave to obtain a peerless martial arts manual. To stop him, Zhuge Zhengwo dispatched the famous trappers to Chaoge Mountain.
Muxue and Chu Limo accompanied them, forming a group of six. They traveled by horseback and eventually arrived at Fuxian Town. In Fuxian Town, the group encountered a series of cases where grooms were being killed by a suspected female ghost. They decided to remain and investigate. The "female ghost" was revealed to be Ji Yaohua, who had become the second-in-command of the White-Clad Saintess Sect, a cult founded by An Shigeng.
Ji Yaohua's personality had drastically changed after being betrayed by Leng Xue, and fueled by her hatred for lovers, she captured newlywed grooms to be used by An Shigeng for his martial arts training, returning only their bodies afterwards. Huilan and her beloved were among the victims; the female ghost ruined their wedding night and took her beloved.
Later, Wu Qing and Muxue visited Huilan to gather more information, but shortly after they left, Huilan herself was killed by Ji Yaohua. Fuxian Town was also An Shigeng's sphere of influence, and many white-clad masked women, members of his White-Clad Saintess Sect, were present. Leng Xue and Chu Limo encountered one such woman carrying a portrait of a "Saintess," which Chu Limo, with Leng Xue's assistance, managed to obtain.
Chu Limo suspected the person in the portrait might be her biological mother. While carrying this portrait, Chu Limo and Leng Xue arrived at an inn, where they witnessed a dispute between a scholar and the innkeeper. Using her mind-reading abilities, Chu Limo discovered that the innkeeper and a waiter were colluding to frame the scholar.
She intervened, exposing the waiter's slip-up, which led the indignant onlookers to confront the innkeeper, forcing the guilty innkeeper to cease his harassment of the scholar. Separately, Ling Yiyi and Tie Shou encountered two white-clad women, who were restrained by silk threads emanating from Ling Yiyi's hands. Leng Xue and Chu Limo also met a strange woman from the Western Regions named Xingyue. When Chu Limo attempted to read Xingyue's mind, she was discovered and nearly harmed.
Leng Xue fought Xingyue to protect Chu Limo, and during the altercation, a second painting fell from Xingyue. This painting depicted Bian Hongyao and bore an inscription with the name "Leng Huishan," identified as Leng Xue's father, which caused great confusion for both Leng Xue and Chu Limo.
Resumen del episodio 43
A pervasive fear gripped a small town as a "female ghost" began preying on grooms, ensuring no wedding could proceed without the groom meeting a grim end. This "female ghost" was Ji Yaohua, disguised, driven by her betrayal by Leng Xue and a deep hatred for all men, which fueled her escalating desire for revenge. She specifically targeted grooms on their wedding nights.
Wuqíng and Muxue, investigating the murders, encountered the killer at Huilan's house and heard her account of the case; shortly after they left, the killer returned and murdered Huilan. Wuqíng suspected Ji Yaohua was the culprit. Meanwhile, Chu Limo, the daughter of the missing Saint Maiden, Bian Hongyao, was sought by the Saint Moon Sect.
Its members, including Ah Qina and Xing Yue, believed Chu Limo was their rightful successor due to her mother's disappearance and attempted to bring her back to the Western Regions to be enthroned. However, Chu Limo persistently refused this destiny. During one such encounter with Saint Moon Sect members, Leng Xue arrived just in time to rescue Chu Limo from being taken. An Shigeng, having escaped the palace, established his own sect.
Ji Yaohua became his trusted right-hand woman, eventually taking on the identity of "Mingyou Fairy" at the Mingyou Mountain Villa, which was run by An Shigeng. People from Mingyou Mountain Villa also sought to eliminate Wuqíng, who, during his investigation, was injured in a confrontation with the groom killer. Muxue, constantly fearing for Wuqíng's safety and knowing he suffered greatly from love, repeatedly stopped him from reckless pursuits, once even slapping and scolding him to make him regain his senses.
To confirm Ji Yaohua's identity as the groom killer and lure her out, the famous trappers devised a plan for Leng Xue and Chu Limo to pretend to marry. On the night of their feigned wedding, Ah Qina and her group from the Saint Moon Sect arrived, attempting to stop Chu Limo and take her away. However, before they could act, Ji Yaohua appeared. During the event, Ji Yaohua confronted Leng Xue, fought him, then feigned defeat and fled.
The famous trappers, including Leng Xue, pursued her, unaware that this was a diversion orchestrated by Ji Yaohua. Shortly after they departed, Ji Yaohua, whose martial arts had significantly improved and temperament completely changed, personally abducted Chu Limo. Chu Limo was subsequently taken to a prison cell, where she was terrified by the sight of skeletal remains on a straw pile.
An Shigeng intended to use Chu Limo as bait to lure Leng Xue, and he explicitly instructed Ji Yaohua not to harm Chu Limo. However, Ji Yaohua harbored deep resentment towards Chu Limo and yearned to kill her herself, even as Chu Limo attempted to persuade her to abandon her path of vengeance. Chu Limo was saddened by Ji Yaohua's refusal to turn back, realizing that An Shigeng merely viewed Ji Yaohua as a pawn.
Meanwhile, Princess Ziluo embarked on a journey to Xianlin Town, searching for the famous trappers, whose whereabouts were unknown. After a passerby was unhelpful and flirtatious, she was cunningly deceived by a black-hearted middle-aged laundromat owner. The owner lured Princess Ziluo to her courtyard/laundromat, imprisoned her, and brutally forced her to wash clothes. Despite Princess Ziluo's protests, asserting her royal status, the malicious owner flew into a rage, assaulted her, and compelled her to comply before arrogantly leaving.
Resumen del episodio 44
An Shigeng ordered Leng Xue to go alone to Mingyou Mountain Villa. Simultaneously, Wu Qing and his companions split up to find the location of Mingyou Mountain Villa, aiming to assist Leng Xue and collectively eliminate An Shigeng. Upon Leng Xue's arrival at Mingyou Mountain Villa, where Chu Limo was being held captive by An Shigeng, An Shigeng instructed Ji Yaohua to host Leng Xue and keep him at the villa for half a month.
Ji Yaohua led Leng Xue, whose eyes were blindfolded, towards Chu Limo's cell. Despite being unable to see, Leng Xue secretly paid close attention to the sounds around him, committing them to memory. In the dim cell, Chu Limo and Leng Xue spoke through wooden bars. Ji Yaohua, consumed by jealousy and hatred for Leng Xue, threatened his life. She revealed a mechanism outside the cell that could instantly kill Chu Limo with a mere touch of her finger.
Leng Xue, warning Ji Yaohua against becoming An Shigeng's pawn and suffering the same fate as Nunu, hoped she would reconsider her path. However, Ji Yaohua's resentment only deepened, as she felt Leng Xue had no regard for her feelings and would not change. For Chu Limo's safety, Leng Xue willingly agreed to remain at Mingyou Mountain Villa, a sacrifice that intensified Ji Yaohua's jealousy.
Chu Limo repeatedly pleaded with Ji Yaohua to release Leng Xue, offering to stay imprisoned forever herself, which only further angered Ji Yaohua. Later, Ji Yaohua forced a pill upon Chu Limo in her cell. Fearing for Leng Xue's safety, Chu Limo consumed the pill and fell into a deep sleep. Leng Xue, distraught by Chu Limo's unconscious state, was desperate. Ji Yaohua observed his anguish but intentionally withheld aid.
To save Chu Limo, Leng Xue reluctantly agreed to Ji Yaohua's demands. Ji Yaohua then bitterly recounted an incident from days prior, when An Shigeng had abducted both Chu Limo and herself; Leng Xue had unhesitatingly chosen to rescue Chu Limo, abandoning Ji Yaohua. She emphasized that now, Leng Xue was willing to comply with her every command for Chu Limo's sake. Meanwhile, Leng Xue made attempts to rescue Chu Limo.
He tried to use his memorized sounds to locate her cell during a lull in the villa's defenses, but Ji Yaohua appeared and blocked his path, telling him his efforts were futile. Leng Xue remained resolute, convinced that he would eventually lead Chu Limo out of Mingyou Mountain Villa. During their search for Leng Xue, Wu Qing and his companions were targeted by An Shigeng.
Wu Qing engaged An Shigeng in a duel in a forest, but his martial arts proved inferior, and he was wounded. Muxue, worried about Wu Qing, appeared in time to save him, but she too was severely wounded by An Shigeng's hidden weapons. Wu Qing watched, heartbroken and distressed, as Muxue fell from her horse. He promised her they would leave the past behind and start a new life, but it was too late.
Muxue died in his arms, and Wu Qing, devastated that he had only just accepted her love before her life was taken, buried her. Separately, Zhui Ming was attacked by a white-clad woman who scattered white powder, confusing his mind, or was poisoned by An Shigeng. He did not return overnight. With Wu Qing dejected by Muxue's death and no news from Leng Xue or Chu Limo, Tie Shou became very anxious.
Tie Shou and Ling Yiyi set out to find Zhui Ming. They discovered him wandering erratically in the streets, having lost his memory and forgotten his friends and family. He acted like a three-year-old child, only wanting to return to the palace to find Zilu. Witnessing Zhui Ming's condition, Wu Qing, once again, impulsively resolved to seek revenge on An Shigeng.
He desired to personally kill An Shigeng, who had taken Muxue's life and driven Zhui Ming mad, to quell his hatred. However, Tie Shou, disappointed by Wu Qing's rashness, intervened, stopping him from pursuing An Shigeng and urging him to calm down and focus on curing Zhui Ming first.
Resumen del episodio 45
Chu Limo was forced by Ji Yaohua to take a Chenshui Pill, a sleeping pill designed to render the recipient permanently unconscious. The antidote was held by Ji Yaohua, who used this leverage to demand that Leng Xue spend a night with her, promising to provide the antidote and save Chu Limo only if he complied. When Leng Xue found Chu Limo unconscious, he was highly agitated and choked Ji Yaohua, demanding the antidote.
Ji Yaohua confirmed that she had given Chu Limo the Chenshui Pill, stating that Chu Limo would remain unconscious forever if Leng Xue killed her. Ji Yaohua blamed Chu Limo for everything, reiterating her demand for Leng Xue to exchange a night with her for the antidote. Leng Xue was shocked by Ji Yaohua’s transformation into someone "neither human nor ghost," and how she remained unmoved by his scolding.
To obtain the antidote, Leng Xue reluctantly agreed to Ji Yaohua's terms. As Ji Yaohua attempted to kiss Leng Xue, she experienced severe discomfort, discovering that she could not feel desire or emotion. This was due to a desire-prohibiting drug called Xuwuxin Xian, which An Shigeng had forced her to take, causing her extreme pain whenever she felt desire.
Ji Yaohua's hatred for Chu Limo and Leng Xue intensified, as she believed they were responsible for her losing the right to be loved. Leng Xue, however, felt pity for Ji Yaohua, realizing she was being manipulated and used by An Shigeng. Taking advantage of Ji Yaohua's compromised state, Leng Xue brought up the death of her father, who had hanged himself at home, leaving behind a piece of black cloth.
Leng Xue gave Ji Yaohua this black cloth, which Wu Qing had obtained from her father, and informed her about her father's death, suggesting An Shigeng was his killer and warning her not to trust him. Ji Yaohua, alerted by Leng Xue, learned An Shigeng's clothing preferences from a maid. She then secretly took the black cloth into An Shigeng’s room and confirmed it belonged to him.
She also discovered that a black piece of clothing previously worn by An Shigeng had mysteriously disappeared, leading her to suspect he had destroyed evidence. Before Ji Yaohua could relay this information to Leng Xue, Chu Limo was suddenly injured by a palm strike. Leng Xue discovered a palm print on Chu Limo and, filled with grief and rage, wrongly accused Ji Yaohua of the attack, refusing to believe her explanations.
Ji Yaohua, seeking the truth behind Chu Limo's injury, confronted An Shigeng, who admitted to striking Chu Limo, stating his intention was to use her injury to control Leng Xue. Meanwhile, while in her coma, Chu Limo experienced a hallucination where she encountered An Shigeng, who revealed his plan to open the Phantom Stone Cave to acquire peerless martial arts secrets.
Concurrently, Zhui Ming consumed a drug that caused him to lose his mind, rendering him foolish and forgetful of his friends. Ling Yiyi and Tie Shou brought him back from the street. Witnessing Zhui Ming's condition, Wu Qing was enraged, wishing he could personally kill An Shigeng. He fell into a deep despair, wanting to confront An Shigeng but being restrained by Tie Shou.
Wu Qing remained despondent in an inn until Tie Shou, disappointed by his inaction, scolded him and declared he would no longer interfere. This scolding spurred Wu Qing to recover his spirits, and he resolved to fight alongside Tie Shou. Separately, Princess Ziluo was captured and held captive by a wicked woman, who forced the delicate princess to perform arduous chores, including washing clothes until her hands became raw and scratched.
To vent her frustration, Princess Ziluo continually scolded Zhui Ming in her mind. The wicked woman then forced Princess Ziluo to make a fire and cook. Princess Ziluo accidentally poured all the oil into the pot and was severely beaten for it. Unable to bear the torture any longer, Princess Ziluo decided to fight back. Realizing the oil was slippery, she deliberately spilled it on the ground.
When the wicked woman returned to the kitchen, she slipped on the spilled oil and fell. Princess Ziluo seized the opportunity to run, and though the woman grabbed her leg, Princess Ziluo struggled free, escaped to the door, and closed the room door behind her, thereby escaping the woman's clutches.
Resumen del episodio 46
Chu Limo was severely injured and unconscious, with Leng Xue continuously transmitting internal energy to her to aid her recovery. An Shigeng, in the main hall, sensed someone transmitting internal energy to save Chu Limo. He sought to trap Chu Limo, intending to use her and Leng Xue to open the door to the Illusion Feather Stone Cave, having used mind control to keep Chu Limo from waking. His ultimate goal was to rebel and crown himself emperor.
However, An Shigeng decided against a direct confrontation of internal energy with Leng Xue, as it might jeopardize his plans, and thus let Chu Limo go. Upon waking, Chu Limo revealed An Shigeng's plans to Leng Xue. Separately, Zhui Ming, having left an inn alone, encountered Princess Ziluo in a forest, where she had escaped and was resting under a tree.
Zhui Ming was in a dazed, foolish state, muttering Princess Ziluo's name but failing to recognize her, believing the woman before him was not Princess Ziluo. Princess Ziluo, initially happy to see him, agreed to help him find "Princess Ziluo" and began to meticulously care for him. Yiyi later found the medicine to cure Zhui Ming's dementia. Princess Ziluo persuaded Zhui Ming to drink the medicinal herbs.
After drinking the medicine, Zhui Ming recovered his consciousness but, finding Princess Ziluo by his side and meticulously caring for him, feigned continued illness to prolong the experience. Princess Ziluo eventually saw through his pretense and was angered, unwilling to deal with him. Zhui Ming, deeply moved by her having left the palace for him, apologized and pleaded until she calmed down, and they reconciled with an embrace.
Meanwhile, while searching for Zhui Ming, Wu Qing and Tie Shou stumbled upon Mingyou Mountain Villa and launched an assault. An Shigeng's subordinates engaged the two famous trappers. An Shigeng attempted to ambush Wu Qing and Tie Shou, but Leng Xue arrived just in time. An Shigeng then tried to ambush Leng Xue, but Leng Xue's "Plain Gauze Cicada Robe" caused An Shigeng's own internal energy to rebound, severely injuring him.
With Leng Xue's appearance, the three famous trappers (Leng Xue, Tie Shou, Wu Qing) joined forces, severely injuring An Shigeng's subordinates. Despite his injury, An Shigeng personally attacked the three famous trappers but was further wounded. Ji Yaohua, under An Shigeng's orders, was forced to join the battle. Finding himself at a severe disadvantage, An Shigeng, in desperation, grabbed Ji Yaohua as a hostage.
Though Ji Yaohua had defected to An Shigeng, she was formerly a female constable of Shenhou Mansion. Concerned for her safety, the famous trappers allowed An Shigeng to escape with her. As he fled, An Shigeng challenged Leng Xue to find him at the Illusion Feather Stone Cave to exact revenge for his clan's destruction. Seriously injured, An Shigeng abandoned the villa and sought a new refuge.
On the road, to heal himself, he absorbed half of Ji Yaohua's internal energy, threatening her to comply. Ji Yaohua, seeking to gain An Shigeng's trust and find an opportunity to kill him to avenge her father, reluctantly submitted and endured the hardship. An Shigeng, with Ji Yaohua by his side and his subordinates respectfully following, continued his journey, plotting how to deal with the famous trappers.
To find An Shigeng, Zhui Ming acupunctured Princess Ziluo, rendering her unable to move for three days. Meanwhile, Leng Xue intended to take Chu Limo to find An Shigeng. Two female disciples of the Sacred Moon Cult, concerned for Chu Limo's safety, tried to prevent them from leaving. Leng Xue looked murderous, prepared to fight them, but Chu Limo, with quick thinking, commanded the disciples to stay put, identifying herself as the Sacred Moon Cult's leader.
Unable to disobey, the disciples allowed Leng Xue and Chu Limo to depart the villa. One disciple, A Qina, unable to compel Chu Limo to stay, then decided to prioritize other important matters.
Resumen del episodio 47
An Shigeng embarks on a journey to Chaoge Mountain, seeking to cultivate supreme martial arts and activate the Illusory Feather Stone Cave. The famous trappers prepare to pursue him. Concerned for Princess Ziluo's safety amidst the dangers of Chaoge Mountain, Zhui Ming temporarily incapacitates her with acupressure, lays her on the bed, and notifies the authorities to ensure her protection, hoping she will wait safely for his return.
At Tie Shou's persuasion, Ling Yiyi stays at the mountain villa to care for Princess Ziluo. Later, Ling Yiyi releases Princess Ziluo from the acupressure, but persuades her that she cannot catch up to the famous trappers alone and should instead wait for reinforcements. Chu Limo, determined to rescue her mother, Bian Hongyao, defies attempts by Aqina and others to stop her, ordering them, as a saintess, to protect her covertly.
An Shigeng sets an ambush on the path to Chaoge Mountain. To counter this, Wu Qing decides to draw An Shigeng's henchmen away alone, while Tie Shou and Zhui Ming split up to deal with An Shigeng's other forces. Leng Xue and Chu Limo, however, easily make their way to Chaoge Mountain. Zhui Ming later finds a mark left by Leng Xue.
An Shigeng had previously taken half of Ji Yaohua's internal energy, showing no pity and believing her life was his for the taking. Ji Yaohua, despite feigning obedience, secretly harbored a deep desire for revenge against An Shigeng for killing her father. On the way to Chaoge Mountain with An Shigeng, he continued to drain her internal energy. Ji Yaohua learned that the famous trappers had fallen into An Shigeng's trap and split up.
Concerned that An Shigeng would gain immense power by entering the Illusory Feather Stone Cave, which would jeopardize her revenge, she tried to stop Leng Xue from entering, but he didn't believe her and forced his way in. Leng Xue and Chu Limo enter the Illusory Feather Stone Cave, where Chu Limo finds her mother, Bian Hongyao, frozen in ice.
Sixteen years prior, Bian Hongyao had been lured to the cave by a letter asking her to save Leng Huishan (Leng Xue's father), a trap set by An Shigeng. An Shigeng, intending to use her blood to open the Illusory Feather Stone Cave but still lacking Leng Huishan's blood, froze Bian Hongyao for sixteen years. Leng Xue shatters the ice with his internal energy, rescuing Bian Hongyao.
An Shigeng then reveals the truth about the destruction of the wolf tribe to Leng Xue before capturing Leng Xue, Chu Limo, Bian Hongyao, and others. He plans to use their blood to open the cave door on the night of the full moon, and successfully obtains Leng Xue's and Chu Limo's blood. As Wu Qing, Tie Shou, and Zhui Ming prepare to go to the Illusory Feather Stone Cave, An Shigeng's henchmen appear, leading to a fight.
Ji Yaohua, waiting outside the cave entrance, reveals her repentance and her plan to join forces with the famous trappers to kill An Shigeng for revenge, convincing them of her sincerity after explaining the truth. Ji Yaohua then leads the three famous trappers into the Illusory Feather Stone Cave. Inside, a ball of true qi floats. The three famous trappers untie Leng Xue, and all four unite to fight An Shigeng.
Empowered by the true qi, An Shigeng holds an absolute advantage and manages to defeat the famous trappers. During the intense fight, Ji Yaohua discovers a supreme martial arts manual. She uses it to distract An Shigeng, then seizes the opportunity to stab him with a dagger. Enraged by her betrayal, An Shigeng strikes Ji Yaohua, sending her flying through the air, and then uses his internal energy to once again subdue the famous trappers.
An Shigeng then flees further into the cave, where the supreme martial arts manual is hidden, and seals the stone door. The famous trappers, lying injured on the ground, are powerless to prevent him from closing the door. An Shigeng, now inside, will undoubtedly learn the supreme martial arts and eventually break out.
Resumen del episodio 48 (Final)
An Shigeng took Leng Xue and Chu Limo's blood, and at the peak of the full moon, he took out a key to open the door to the illusory feather grotto. Inside the grotto were peerless martial arts secret manuals, a demon lord relic, and a demon domain wonder book, all of which An Shigeng intended to use to cultivate peerless divine or demonic martial arts. When the famous trappers arrived, An Shigeng had already entered.
Ji Yaohua quietly appeared and found a martial arts secret manual (or demon domain wonder book). She used An Shigeng's trust as an opportunity to ambush him, stabbing him. Enraged by the injury, An Shigeng struck her, then also struck all the famous trappers out of the illusory feather grotto, after which its door closed again. Leng Xue took the severely injured Ji Yaohua out of the grotto.
Ji Yaohua was dying and, seeing her father's revenge was impossible and regretting her mistakes, she let go of her hatred for Leng Xue, reminisced about good old times, and then, pretending to be thirsty, tricked Leng Xue into leaving the stone mountain to search for water. While Leng Xue was searching, Ji Yaohua quietly departed.
While An Shigeng cultivated his peerless divine/demonic martial arts inside the closed grotto, Chu Limo's mother, Bian Hongyao, used Leng Xue and Chu Limo's blood along with her full internal power to open the illusory feather grotto's door. The famous trappers, who were waiting outside, immediately rushed in to stop An Shigeng from completing his demonic cultivation.
However, An Shigeng had already mastered his peerless divine martial arts, his power greatly increased and making him invincible; the famous trappers combined were no match for him and almost died by his hand. Under her mother Bian Hongyao's guidance, who transmitted the highest level of Mind-reading skill to her, Chu Limo entered the grotto and used Mind-reading skill against An Shigeng. She entered An Shigeng's mind and transformed into his deceased lover Diewu.
As Diewu, Chu Limo confronted An Shigeng, blaming him for dragging her into a deep abyss of sin and vowing to hate him forever. This vexed An Shigeng and broke his psychological defense, causing him to fall into a frenzy, shouting loudly as he returned to reality. While An Shigeng was in this frenzied state, Leng Xue seized the opportunity to stab him with his sword.
Simultaneously, Wu Qing and the other famous trappers destroyed the divine dragon (also referred to as the black dragon) inside the grotto, which had been continuously supplying An Shigeng with power. With his power supply severed, An Shigeng was killed by Leng Xue. With An Shigeng, who had committed many evils, finally eliminated, peace returned to the world. The famous trappers returned to Shenhou Mansion to report to Zhuge Zhengwo.
Zhuge Zhengwo was surprised and happy, catching up with Chu Limo's mother, Bian Hongyao. Chu Limo's mother planned to take Chu Limo back to the Western Regions (or far away). However, Leng Xue, not wanting to repeat his father's mistakes, asked Chu Limo's mother to marry Chu Limo to him. Chu Limo, having fallen deeply in love with Leng Xue, also decided to stay in the capital for him. Chu Limo's mother, Bian Hongyao, agreed to their union.
Under the clear, star-filled moonlight in the quiet Shenhou Mansion, Chu Limo and Leng Xue stood together, flirting. They planned to name their future child "Lengmo." Chu Limo then noticed a shooting star appearing in the sky, believing it could fulfill wishes. She closed her eyes and silently made a wish, and Leng Xue immediately followed suit. After making their wishes, they gazed deeply into each other's eyes.
Leng Xue, unable to control his emotions, actively kissed Chu Limo, their union once again confirming the ancient saying: "All lovers eventually become family." Among the famous trappers, aside from Wu Qing who remained alone, the other three found their own love. Poor Wu Qing, however, experienced two consecutive tragic loves, his plight best described by another ancient saying: "What is love in the world, that it makes people live and die for each other?"
