Xia Qiao, pretending to be Li Huizhen, declares her intention to study in Copenhagen and not return, aiming to sever ties with Bai Haoyu. Bai Haoyu stops her, expresses how much he missed "Li Huizhen" while he was in the US, and embraces her, promising to protect her. Xia Qiao is momentarily moved. Distraught, Li Huizhen gives her phone card to Xia Qiao, asking her to continue impersonating Li Huizhen whenever Bai Haoyu calls.
Overcome with sadness, Li Huizhen drinks alcohol and deletes all Bai Haoyu's emails, recalling his childhood promise and a puzzle piece he gave her. Later, Bai Haoyu calls Xia Qiao, insisting on seeing her off at the airport for her supposed trip. Xia Qiao rushes home to pack and then to the airport, where Bai Haoyu is already waiting.
Bai Haoyu shares contacts for his European classmates for her to reach out to if she needs help and gifts her an umbrella, saying it will remind her of him. Xia Qiao is touched by his sincerity. The umbrella holds special meaning as both Bai Haoyu and Li Huizhen dislike rain – Bai Haoyu's mother passed away on a rainy day, and rain affects Li Huizhen's hair; Bai Haoyu had once promised to be Li Huizhen's "umbrella."
Back home, Li Huizhen pampers Xia Qiao, who then gives Li Huizhen the umbrella gift from Bai Haoyu. Soon after, Li Huizhen is overjoyed to receive an employment offer from the logistics department of 'Eternal' magazine. On her first day at 'Eternal', Li Huizhen meets Lin Yimu downstairs and discovers he is the owner of a motorcycle she previously encountered.
After a brief chat, she reports to the kind logistics department director, where she diligently takes on various odd jobs and quickly completes a project proposal. Impressed, the director assigns her to assist the editorial department. In the bustling and fashionable editorial office, Li Huizhen is immediately mistaken for a new intern by Zhu Ying and Lin Yimu, who assign her tasks. The real new intern eventually arrives, clarifying the misunderstanding.
The logistics director then informs Li Huizhen that she is officially transferred to the editorial department due to staffing needs. Li Huizhen is both surprised and excited by the transfer. As Li Huizhen settles into her new role, the chief editor announces the arrival of a new, highly accomplished and handsome associate editor from headquarters. Amidst the busy office, only Lin Yimu notices Li Huizhen trying to introduce herself. Just then, Bai Haoyu walks in as the new associate editor.
Upon seeing him, a shocked Li Huizhen quickly hides under a table, fearing he will recognize her. The editorial staff, including Zhu Ying (fashion editor), Lin Hao (column editor), Zhou Yaling (beauty group head), and Han Xue (beauty group assistant), introduce themselves to Bai Haoyu.
