Ye Hai plunged into the sea, finding Anfei who was also a skilled swimmer, but she was determined to retrieve the lost necklace, an item precious to Ye Hai. After Anfei found the necklace, Ye Hai, already weakened from being stabbed by Andrew, was exhausted but managed to bring her ashore. During the struggle, the necklace broke, revealing a tiny model boat inside its pendant. Ye Hai, fatigued and injured, collapsed on the beach.

Upon waking, neither could recall how they reached the shore. Anfei had only sustained minor injuries. As they conversed, Ye Hai received urgent news that his grandfather was critically ill. He immediately booked a flight home, leaving Anfei without a proper goodbye, due to his deep affection for his grandfather, the former chairman of Hanhai. Meanwhile, Ye Tian was at the hospital, frantically trying to reach Ye Hai as their grandfather's condition worsened, but Ye Hai's phone was off-line.

Anfei, after Ye Hai’s departure, also booked a flight to return home, no longer wishing to stay in Athens. Ye Hai arrived too late; his grandfather had already passed away. Kneeling by the bedside, Ye Hai tearfully apologized, revealing that he had found Andrew, the killer of his parents, a truth his grandfather would never hear. His brother, Ye Tian, stood by, embracing Ye Hai in shared grief.

In another development, Lin Huayin, representing the Musen company, met with Mo Liang to propose their participation in the Poseidon Project. Mo Liang was initially reluctant, wanting to return home to seek a partner that aligned with his vision. However, Lin Huayin surprised him by introducing Dr. Liu Lan, a renowned researcher, as a project consultant.

Mo Liang and Liu Lan had a history; she had left abruptly three years prior, a departure that led him to name his project "Poseidon" after reflecting by the Aegean Sea. Liu Lan stated she returned upon hearing of his experiment. Back home, Ye Hai accused Ye Tian of not informing him earlier about their grandfather’s illness, preventing him from saying a final goodbye. Ye Tian retaliated, criticizing Ye Hai’s prolonged absence.

A lawyer then arrived to read their grandfather's will. It revealed that Ye Hai would inherit 27% of the company’s shares and be nominated as Chairman of the Board, while Ye Tian would receive 26% and be appointed General Manager. Ye Hai also inherited an island and the family’s boat company under Hanhai. The will concluded by urging both brothers to remember their family motto: to protect the ocean and always keep fear in their hearts.

Anfei, now back in the country, was visited by her friend Qiu Aming, a reporter. Aming was astonished to learn Anfei knew Ye Hai, the second son of the Hanhai Group. Anfei casually mentioned breaking Ye Hai's model boat necklace while underwater. Aming gasped, explaining that the boat in a bottle was a rare and valuable Hanhai heirloom, hundreds of years old, symbolizing the company's illustrious history.

Separately, Ye Hai's subordinate informed him that Andrew had escaped after a substantial bail was paid to the Greek police, reinforcing Ye Hai’s belief that powerful forces supported the pirates. He resolved to capture Andrew regardless of the backing. Mo Liang called Anfei, apologizing for not having dinner with her in Greece and inviting her out, saying he had something to discuss. Anfei was overjoyed and meticulously prepared for the date, hoping for a romantic advancement.

At the restaurant, Mo Liang treated her like a younger sister, asking about her studies and volunteer work. During their meal, Anfei briefly spotted Ye Hai driving past and was startled, dismissing it as an illusion. Mo Liang then offered her an assistant position for the Poseidon Project, which Anfei eagerly accepted, thrilled at the prospect of working with him. On their way back, Anfei was about to give Mo Liang a gift, but she ultimately hesitated.

News spread that the Musen Group was poised to sponsor the Poseidon Project. Ye Tian, concerned by this, decided Hanhai would increase its own sponsorship. Meanwhile, Ye Hai was at his grandfather's old residence, mourning. He used a key left by his grandfather to open a box, revealing a secret room containing portraits of Poseidon and the Sea Queen Anfei. He remembered his grandfather’s stories about these figures and his hope that Ye Hai would protect the ocean.

Anfei heard about the Hanhai Chairman's death from the media and her friend Aming, learning that Ye Hai had not attended the funeral. Worried, she went to his grandfather's old house to find him. Ye Hai explained he chose not to attend the funeral, viewing it as a public spectacle and preferring to mourn privately.

Unable to offer conventional comfort, Anfei shared advice from her father: when a person passes, they become a star in the sky, watching over those they left behind. Touched, Ye Hai asked about her father's profession, and Anfei replied, "Captain."
