Lan Tian and Song Chacha's wedding promise is broken, leading to a heartbreaking confrontation. Song Chacha, who went to the wedding alone, angrily questions Lan Tian for not contacting her and for his absence. Lan Tian initially claims he changed his mind, but reveals that his father, Lan Dong, deceived Song Chacha about the marriage.
Feeling immense guilt, Lan Tian returns to Beijing and confronts Lan Dong, who then threatens to add more false charges against Song Chacha's uncle in prison and ruin Song Chacha's life if Lan Tian continues to see her. To protect Song Chacha, a heartbroken Lan Tian reluctantly agrees to cut ties with her. Lan Dong subsequently assigns Lan Xin to manage the Hainan resort. Meanwhile, Bai Yongze suspects his father is monitoring him due to unusual phone calls and comments.
At the club, coach Huang Donglei invites Olympic champion Fang Jingjing for psychological guidance, but inexplicably singles out Bai Yongze, asking him to play around instead of training, making Bai Yongze confused. He wonders who might have stolen a video from him. Reporter Xu, exploiting the rumored ambiguous relationship between Bai Yongze and Song Chacha, pressures Li Bao for a video.
Li Bao, whose career is declining, considers giving the video to Reporter Xu and takes a bikini photoshoot job in Hainan. In Hainan, Song Chacha visits her mother and learns her uncle's situation in prison has worsened due to new charges. Uncle Kong suggests Lan Tian could help, but Song Chacha, still hurt by Lan Tian, decides to rely on herself to earn money. Later, Bai Yongze sees Song Chacha acting suspiciously and follows her.
He overhears her discussing sending "a video" for money (Song Chacha was trying to sell old bags). Bai Yongze misinterprets this, assuming she is trying to blackmail him with his stolen video. He confronts her but suddenly collapses from chest pains. Song Chacha takes him to the hospital. Just before collapsing, Bai Yongze’s phone connects to Lan Tian, who hears Song Chacha's voice and rushes to the hospital.
When Bai Yongze awakens, he grabs Song Chacha's hand, still believing she is stealing his phone or video. Song Chacha clarifies that she brought him to the hospital. Lan Tian arrives, leading to an awkward encounter among the three. Song Chacha, angered by Lan Tian's appearance, storms out. Lan Tian tries to talk to her, but she blames him for an email he sent after her father's death, which gave her false hope.
Lan Tian denies knowing about the email, making Song Chacha feel he doesn't care and deepening her disappointment. After Song Chacha leaves, Bai Yongze and Lan Tian discuss their past. Lan Tian later checks his emails, discovers the email from Song Chacha and his own reply, realizing he had been manipulated by his father. He runs out in a rage, while Bai Yongze, seeing the email, is stunned.
