Love in the Clouds is a historical fantasy romance drama co-directed by Zhi Zhu and Peng Xuejun, starring Neo Hou and Lu Yuxiao as the leads, with Yu Chengen and He Nan in main supporting roles.
The dramaa revolves around the “Azure Cloud Tournament” in the Hexu Six Realms. Ji Bozai, a fighter from a criminal background, defeats the seven-time consecutive champion, the female warrior Ming Yi. Afterwards, Ming Yi disguises herself as a dancer to get close to him. The two engage in an emotional rivalry while assuming multiple identities, and ultimately find love as they work together to uphold justice and fairness. Staying true to the original novel’s “power couple” setup, the series portrays a world of xianxia intrigue and romantic tension.
