Su Wan (Susan Lane), a contract worker at a bank, has ranked first in performance for eight years—yet earns only 3,200 yuan a month.
Despite her achievements, she has been repeatedly passed over for a permanent position by Vice President Wang Mei, who favors her own relatives.
When Wang Mei gives the fifth promotion slot to her nephew instead, Su Wan is finally disillusioned and resigns.
Her clients follow her, saying, "Our money goes with you."
At the year-end meeting, Su Wan publicly exposes the unfair treatment and announces her resignation. A wave of client withdrawals follows, shifting their funds to a private bank.
The original bank soon falls into crisis due to regulatory violations. Wang Mei tries to win the clients back, but they refuse en masse.
In the end, the bank collapses, and Wang Mei and her allies pay the price. Su Wan, with her integrity and hard work, rises from the ashes—proving that effort never truly goes unrewarded.
