Sinopse
Jin Baozhu, a butcher's daughter, is a worldly woman. She loves money, admires good looks, and is careful with every penny. Her only dream in life is enjoying a life of luxury. After her father dies, her family's exploitation of her only worsens.
To escape their grip, Baozhu volunteers to marry into the water transport family as a concubine to the legitimate son, Xie Yan. She believes this will bring her a life of wealth and ease, but little does she know, Xie Yan despises worldly things.
Xie Yan rose to fame at a young age and was proud and talented. But after an accident leaves him crippled, his reputation is ruined. He wallows in self-pity and spends his days with wastrels. To make him settle down, the family forces Baozhu to marry him, but things go the opposite direction. The two find themselves at odds every single day.
As Baozhu and Xie Yan live together day by day, facing the same enemies, they slowly develop feelings for each other...
