Earlier, a confrontation unfolded at D. U. as several Ling Long employees had been poached by D. U. Li Weiwei, upon seeing them perform low-level "threading beads" work, attempted to retrieve them.

Chen Yidu responded by playing a video on his phone, revealing her embarrassing drunken antics, which mortified Li Weiwei into a hasty retreat. After her design environment change didn't immediately yield results, Ling Long's new season's finale piece was due, but Li Weiwei's mind remained blank.
Overwhelmed, she pushed the responsibility to Huo Xiao, who secretly instructed his secretary Ou Ye to select a suitable draft from other designers' works to use as a placeholder.
