To escape a hollow relationship and a career slump, award-winning actress Jiang Nan ventures into the desert to immerse herself in a new role. There, she crosses paths with Lu Bei, an engineer secretly tracking a fugitive. To protect her, Lu Bei disguises himself as local security and “detains” her.
After the misunderstanding is cleared, Jiang Nan becomes entangled in a deadly conspiracy when she witnesses the criminal’s true face. Forced into a fake marriage with Lu Bei to aid his mission, the two find themselves blurring the line between pretense and reality as feelings ignite.
Amidst sandstorms and danger, two wounded yet deeply romantic souls begin to heal each other. Through lies and peril, they become each other’s salvation, kindling a wildfire of hope at the end of a long, dark night.
