Shen Zhuoran, a retired literature professor, has a fulfilling family life with children and grandchildren. After his wife’s passing, he is encouraged by old friends to start dating again. Throughout his matchmaking journey, he meets four different women: a compassionate head nurse who leaves due to property disputes, a female scientist who disappears without a word after her cancer relapses, a domineering trade union director who makes him feel pressured, and a woman who closely resembles his late wife but puts forward a difficult request. These varied emotional experiences lead Shen Zhuoran to new personal growth, and his reflections on love and life deeply impact his family, who accompany him on this journey.
