To prevent further demonization, Na Lanyue needed to cultivate the Ling Sect's mental cultivation techniques, but these had been lost. As Guan Buzhuo prepared to depart, he offered a subtle hint, advising Na Lanyue and Lu Yizhou to search thoroughly, suggesting that Mo Huan always keeps her most cherished items in plain sight to feel at ease. Mo Huan, having recently recovered from the severe backlash of her confrontation with Bai Su, reflected on her past misjudgment of Na Lanyue.
She admitted that while she once placed all her hopes for the Nalan family on him, his independent spirit meant she could no longer rely on him. She viewed her recovery as "a blessing in disguise," unveiling a new plan. Instead of torturing Rong Jingfeng and completely destroying Dragon Howl City, she would seize control of the city for herself, taking all of Rong Jingfeng’s lifelong efforts and turning them to her own advantage.
She believed Dragon Howl City could still thrive under her, even without its former master. In an effort to sever Na Lanyue's access to information, the Snow Union drastically crippled its own forces. They burned all of Wang Zhiyuan's ships overnight, crippling his intelligence network. Furthermore, Wang Zhengqing's escort team became entangled in a murder case, leading to the sealing of all his escort companies and leaving him unable to help others.
Meanwhile, rumors from Black Rock Mountain led various Jianghu factions to mistakenly target Bai Su's disciples, accusing them of collusion. While Bai Su had already left to treat Na Lanyue at the Ling Sect, Bai Weizhi found himself surrounded. Fortunately, Wang Zhiyuan arrived in time to rescue him. Wang Zhiyuan then informed Bai Weizhi of the widespread disruption to their information sources and revealed that Rong Hua was currently within the Ling Sect.
Recognizing their need for allies, Wang Zhiyuan suggested they leverage Na Lanyue's power, arranging for Bai Weizhi to meet Rong Su. Soon after, Lu Yizhou arrived to invite Bai Weizhi to the Ling Sect, where Rong Hua and Bai Su were also present, allowing Bai Weizhi to relay the recent events. Inside the Ling Sect, Rong Hua overheard Na Lanyue discussing Rong Jingfeng with the deputy master of the Tang School.
Na Lanyue instructed that if Rong Jingfeng were captured, he should be killed if he resisted. Rong Hua was deeply conflicted by this command. Na Lanyue, concerned about the volatile situation in the northern wastelands, insisted Rong Hua remain within the Ling Sect, asserting that he trusted no one but himself to ensure her safety outside. Rong Hua, though resilient, acknowledged she had overheard his orders regarding her father.
Na Lanyue then explained the vulnerability of Dragon Howl City, its defenses compromised and information channels cut, emphasizing the critical need to find Rong Jingfeng to prevent wider repercussions from the Jianghu factions. When Bai Weizhi arrived at the Ling Sect, Yun Xu, a Nalan clan member, confronted Rong Hua.
He chastised her for allowing someone from Dragon Howl City into their sacred grounds, accusing her of being soft-hearted and reminding her that her past leniency contributed to Lingxu Pavilion's destruction. He feared she would again endanger the Nalan family and even suggested her expulsion for the clan's safety. Other clan members echoed his sentiments.
Enraged by their disrespect towards Rong Hua, Bai Weizhi fiercely defended her, stating she was not without choices and only remained for Na Lanyue, who had already caused her much suffering. He then sent a direct message to Na Lanyue, warning that if he failed to protect Rong Hua, someone else would cherish her. Bai Weizhi demanded to see Na Lanyue to settle the matter of right and wrong, but was told Na Lanyue was absent.
Lu Yizhou attempted to calm Bai Weizhi and escort him away, but he angrily refused and stormed off. Meanwhile, Liuli, realizing she was being tracked, met with Rong Su and pointed out Rong Jingfeng's hiding spot, marked by a distant fire. She warned Rong Su that this might be a trap orchestrated by Mo Huan, who intended to profit from a conflict between Rong Su and the Jianghu factions.
Rong Su, unwilling to let her father die, asked Liuli to enter the Ling Sect, find Rong Hua, and plead for her intervention to protect Rong Jingfeng and any remaining Dragon Howl City disciples. Liuli agreed to help. Rong Jingfeng, desperately trying to escape a mob of pursuers, pleaded for his life, claiming he was unwillingly taken from Dragon Howl City.
His pleas were met with cold disdain by the attackers, who vowed revenge for his past victims and accused him of breaking promises. Rong Su arrived, saving her father, and tried to explain that Mo Huan had orchestrated his escape, absolving him of blame. However, the crowd dismissed her, pointing to her familial ties to Rong Jingfeng. Rong Su then ordered Xuan Ye to take her father to the Ling Sect while she covered their retreat.
Despite Rong Jingfeng's resistance and distrust of Na Lanyue, Rong Su insisted, assuring him of Rong Hua's promised protection. As the situation escalated, Liuli swiftly informed Na Lanyue. Na Lanyue, with his Xuanbing forces, appeared and declared that Rong Jingfeng’s fate would be decided by him alone. He then invited Rong Su to return with him to discuss the future of Dragon Howl City. Intimidated by the Xuanbing, the other Jianghu factions stood down.
At the Ling Sect gates, Xuan Ye supported a weakened Rong Jingfeng, who defiantly challenged Na Lanyue to exact his revenge. Rong Hua attempted to rush to her father's side but was restrained by clan members, despite Liuli’s reminder of Rong Su's plea. Rong Jingfeng urged Rong Hua to leave and not beg for his life. Na Lanyue instructed Lu Yizhou to take Rong Hua to rest, but she fiercely resisted, pleading with him not to harm her father.
Na Lanyue coldly stated that this was a matter solely between the Nalan family and Rong Jingfeng, unrelated to her. When Rong Hua continued to struggle, Lu Yizhou was forced to knock her unconscious. Na Lanyue then stabbed Rong Jingfeng and inserted offspring worms into his body, effectively turning him into a "Xuanbing" puppet, much like the Tang School deputy master.
Onlookers reflected on the karmic irony of Rong Jingfeng's fate, now controlled by the very Red Flower Pill he once wielded. Overwhelmed by his new puppet existence, Rong Jingfeng tried to end his life, screaming that he didn't want to live this way and demanding to know Na Lanyue's true intentions. Na Lanyue, however, revived him, forcing him to endure this torment.
As Master of the Nalan family, Na Lanyue then proclaimed that with Rong Jingfeng brought to justice, the Nalan family’s blood feud was finally avenged. He declared an official end to all hostilities between the Nalan family and Rong Jingfeng, forbidding any further conflict, a declaration met with fervent cheers from his clan.
Distraught, Rong Hua was comforted by Bai Su, who gently explained that her continued presence at the Ling Sect only complicated matters for both her and Na Lanyue. He acknowledged her inability to abandon her father while also deeply devoted to Na Lanyue, whose poison remained untreated. Bai Su explained that the Nalan clan’s animosity towards Dragon Howl City, further inflamed by Bai Weizhi’s recent visit, put her in great danger.
He urged her to trust Na Lanyue to handle matters and then revealed that he had discovered a way to completely cure Na Lanyue of the Red Flower Pill poison, promising her a healthy Na Lanyue in the future. Despite Rong Hua's reluctance, Bai Su insisted she must leave the Ling Sect immediately, explaining that it would allow tensions to subside and pave the way for the Nalan family to eventually accept her. He reminded her that Na Lanyue's declaration of an end to the Nalan-Rong Jingfeng enmity was made for her sake. Accepting his wisdom, Rong Hua agreed to depart.
