Mu Jiuyun disguises herself as a political bride and marries the iron-blooded war god Mo Yu in order to avenge her childhood sweetheart, Gu Chengyu. However, she soon discovers that Mo Yu’s behavior closely resembles that of the supposedly deceased Gu Chengyu. Even her ally Su Cheng seems to know secrets known only to her and Gu Chengyu. Determined to uncover the truth, Mu Jiuyun begins her investigation.
