Luo Fanxing (Faye Locke), once a graduate of a prestigious university, gave up her career for her family and devoted herself to being a housewife, caring wholeheartedly for her husband—only to be betrayed by him in return.
One rainy night, Luo Fanxing rushes her asthmatic child to the hospital and accidentally gets into the wrong car in her panic. The car belongs to Shen Siyan (Shane Hart), who mistakes her actions for a deliberate attempt to gain his sympathy and throws her out.
After a series of misunderstandings, Shen Siyan finally discovers that the woman who donated a kidney to save his life five years ago was none other than Luo Fanxing. Wanting to repay her kindness, he repeatedly comes to her aid. As they spend more time together, the two gradually develop a deep mutual understanding and affection for one another.
