> Love Has Fireworks各話あらすじ
After a long day at the office, Qian Fei was still buried in her work when Li Yifei strolled over, demanding she go home and cook dinner for him. Still feeling grumpy, Qian Fei flatly refused, claiming she was trying to manage her figure. Li Yifei simply smiled and waved two coveted front-row tickets to a crosstalk show by her favorite performer, Azhi. Overjoyed, Qian Fei lost all her composure, leaping into his arms and jumping with excitement.
The sudden embrace sent Li Yifei’s heart racing. Unaware of his flustered state, Qian Fei happily promised to buy a whole sack of eggplants the next day and cook his favorite stir-fried eggplant dishes. Once they returned home, however, Li Yifei revealed his little trick by handing her only one ticket. He confessed that he had also become a fan of Azhi and wanted to go with her.
Left with no other choice, Qian Fei reluctantly agreed to let him tag along, promising to cook him three meals of eggplant strips as payment. Meanwhile, Liao Jinshan sat in his office listening to a report from his secretary. The hotel scandal video crisis was continuing to escalate online, dealing a massive blow to Shanlifang and dragging down nine hotels in total. The crisis had ignited a massive wave of public outrage that seemed impossible to quiet down.
At the apartment, Qian Fei was meticulously dressing up and trying on outfits for the show. Li Yifei watched her with amusement, pointing out that Azhi would be on stage while she would be in the dark audience. Qian Fei retorted that their front-row seats meant they would be right in the performer's line of sight during audience interactions, insisting she had to look her best. Later that day, Liao Shiyu brought Wang Ruohai home to visit Liao Jinshan.
When the conversation turned to the escalating hotel video crisis, Wang Ruohai spoke with absolute confidence. He proposed a "cold treatment" strategy, suggesting that doing nothing externally while conducting internal deep investigations and rolling out promotional discounts would allow the storm to blow over. Liao Shiyu looked at him with deep admiration, and Liao Jinshan was pleased to see his daughter so happy and well-supported. At the theater, the crosstalk show was a roaring success.
Qian Fei was completely captivated, laughing heartily and actively interacting with Azhi on stage. Li Yifei, on the other hand, was entirely distracted. He spent the evening watching Qian Fei, quietly sliding his fingers across the armrest to touch her hand. However, his attempts were repeatedly thwarted as Qian Fei suddenly raised her hands to clap, leaving him grasping at thin air. Afterward, she happily dragged him along to take photos with Azhi.
On their walk back, Qian Fei was still buzzing with excitement. Li Yifei teased her about her earlier promise to take his surname if he got the tickets. This prompted Qian Fei to share her embarrassing past: she revealed that her mother’s surname had originally led to her being named "Su Fei," which sounded exactly like a sanitary pad brand and brought her endless ridicule.
Though she had bravely changed it to her father's surname, she ended up as "Qian Fei," which unfortunately sounded like "overdue payment," ensuring she could never hold onto her money. Back at his office, Wang Ruohai was working late when he received an urgent call from his father. He was shocked to learn that his mother's blood pressure had spiked upon finding out about his breakup with Qian Fei, triggering a heart attack.
With her major artery ninety percent blocked, she was rushed into emergency surgery. Deeply shaken, Wang Ruohai promised to book the earliest flight home the next morning. At the apartment, Li Yifei received a phone call from Jinzi and dressed up to head out. Qian Fei immediately assumed he was going on a hot date, teasingly warning him not to drive if he had been drinking and asking if he planned to stay out overnight.
Shortly after Yifei left, Wang Ruohai called Qian Fei. He aggressively accused her of calling his mother to reveal their breakup, demanding that she stop her "fake concern" and stay far away from his family. Before Qian Fei could defend herself, she heard Wang Ruohai suddenly shout Li Yifei's name, and the line abruptly cut off. Li Yifei had tracked Wang Ruohai down at his office building.
Having discovered that Wang Ruohai was the mastermind who edited and leaked the hotel scandal videos to advance his own position, Yifei wasted no words and beat him up. Before leaving, Yifei delivered a fierce warning, telling Ruohai that if he ever tried to hurt Qian Fei again, the consequences would be far worse than a simple beating. Yifei eventually returned to the apartment with visible cuts on his face.
He tried to brush it off with a flimsy excuse about a difficult girl, but Qian Fei saw right through the lie. Knowing he had fought Wang Ruohai on her behalf, she insisted on treating his wounds. As she tenderly disinfected his cuts, their physical closeness charged the room with a sudden, intimate silence. To break the tension, they realized that the following evening was New Year's Eve.
Yifei warmly suggested that she make her signature stir-fried eggplant strips so they could share a quiet dinner and watch the news together, ensuring neither of them would have to spend the holiday alone. Qian Fei happily agreed. The next day, the open day event at Zela Dance Studio was underway. To get closer to Dang Yu, Jun Cheng had applied to be a square dance coach at the studio.
During the event, Dang Yu delivered a flawless, high-energy street dance performance that instantly won over the crowd of children and parents, resulting in a flurry of sign-ups. In contrast, the square dance booth run by Jun Cheng's mother, Fang Ying, was rather quiet. One grandmother wanted to join street dance to accompany her grandson but hesitated due to her bad back. Dang Yu stepped in to help, gently advising the woman against the intense strain of street dance.
Instead, she suggested signing up for the square dance class next door, pointing out that the schedules aligned perfectly so they could arrive and leave together. Appreciative of the thoughtful solution, the grandmother happily signed up. Later, Dang Yu insisted on driving Fang Ying home. During the ride, Fang Ying expressed her gratitude but could not help letting slip a snobbish sense of local Shanghai superiority.
Knowing she was dating Jun Cheng, Dang Yu kept her composure and politely ignored the subtle jabs. Meanwhile, Lu Ze tracked down Jingjing, who was busy decorating for a New Year's Eve event. Desperate to salvage their relationship, he explained that he had finally dissolved his startup because he realized she was the most important thing in his life. Getting down on one knee, he presented a ring and proposed to her again.
Though Jingjing was visibly torn, she tearfully turned him down, admitting that while she did not care about his lack of money or his failed startup, she simply could not bring ourselves to marry him before walking away. That evening, Qian Fei returned to the apartment carrying bags of groceries, ready for her dinner with Yifei. Just then, her phone rang. It was a devastated, weeping Jingjing calling about the failed proposal.
Without a second thought, Qian Fei canceled her plans with Yifei and rushed out the door to comfort her friend. Left stood up and thoroughly disappointed, Yifei could only call his friends to put together a last-minute party with Jinzi and others to wild away the lonely night.
