Lin Shen (Steven Leigh) was actually the heir to an ultra-wealthy family, but his parents deliberately raised him in poverty, so he grew up completely unaware of his true identity. After entering society as an adult, Lin Shen never felt inferior because of his humble circumstances. Instead, his sincerity and optimism caught the attention of beautiful CEO Zhao Yiren (Elaine Jenkins).
The two agree to pretend to be each other's boyfriend and girlfriend in order to meet their families, but their fake relationship soon sparks jealousy and malicious schemes from those around them. Relying on his intelligence, resilience, and the secret support of his parents, Lin Shen overcomes one crisis after another. In the process, he gradually realizes that his background is far from ordinary.
